For the first time I was actually in the right place at the right time...
My wife, baby and I were driving to a toy show this morning. I told her I wanted to swing into Goodwill real quick because it was still early and I might actually have a chance of finding something. She reluctantly agreed, but told me to hurry up. I went in and checked the usual shelves and found nothing. I checked the electronics section in back and between an old toaster and an 8 track player, I saw it sitting there. Now this was intriguing, I had never seen it before. But for 2.99 how could I pass it up.
I took it out to the car and grabbed the DP guide while my wife took it out of the box. There it was lightly used and in perfect shape. I fumbled around in the guide and found Kid Vid controller by Coleco with a $0 and an R10!
Heres some pics. if anyone else has one, please let me know. I would love more info.

CONGRATULATIONS, MAN!

That is one SPECTACULAR FIND, especially IN THE WILD for so CHEAP!

I am so damn envious. :onfire:

It's too bad this amazing once-in-a-lifetime treasure has been stuck in "weekend finds" along with common PSone games, but there you have it.

Again, great find!

Dude how much did you pay for that Top Loader Famicom? That is too freakin' awesome

If I remember right, it was around $40-$45 US.

Good god, that rocks!

If this topic were perhaps made a sticky, then it would have been a lot easier to see before I made a specific thread... ;)

Went to my local Car Boot Sale yesterday (Sunday) and my mate managed to pick up an Amiga 1200.

But this was no ordinary Amiga 1200 - Oh no! This one was white as snow! You seriously haven't seen a whiter looking Amiga!

The guy he bought it off was disabled (Not sure what his disability was, but looked serious - It was some sort of mental & physical illness) - His carer said the Amiga was bought back in 1994, but due to his illness, it had only been used once.

Apparently, the guy couldn't operate it well enough as his condition degraded, so it just got packed up and shoved in a closet for a long while - Until this weekend just gone when it was brought back out!

It was boxed and totally mint as if it had been bought that very morning from a shop.

It also had a couple of (As yet) unidentified peripheral add on units - One was a mixer of sorts (Something to do with some photo editing program I think), and the other was something similar to a TV input card which had an S Video port on it. Both peripherals were boxed and minty just like the Amiga and looked like they hadn't even been used at all (Maybe came with the A1200 when it was bought)

Thye A1200 was the action pack I believe - Came with Zool and a few other discs.

And how much for all this I hear you ask??? £15.00!!! Yes, fifteen whole pounds for what could be considered a brand new A1200 with possibly rare peripherals!!!

Needless to say, we absolutely creamed ourselves when we saw it! No doubt if you saw how white it was, you would also!

Sorry, no pics as it's now around my mates. Besides, the photo's wouldn't do it justice - It would simply look like a regular A1200. I will, however, try and find out what those two peripherals were. I reckon they must have been expensive when they were originally bought - They probably fetch a good price now too!

At a local Half Price Books I found for the Sega CD:

Sherlock Holmes Consulting Detective Vol. II
Fifa International Soccer
Trivial Pursuit
Thunderstrike (2 copies, probably cannibalize the second copy for the case)
Soccer 94
ESPN Sunday Night NFL
Tomcat Alley

Nothing too fancy at all, but I did buy these with the intention of swapping out cracked cases and such. Luckily, I only paid a buck or two a piece for them.
