Got home tonight from work around 11:30 and found a package by the big screen tv that one of my family members must have dropped in there, cause I missed it this morning:

Genesis - Spiderman (with venom on front)
Genesis - Wheel of Fortune

Two more complete games to the roster.

My other "find" isn't at all game related but I'm really excited about it. At work, they're buliding a magnolia hi-fi inside my best buy so most of the store is getting re-arranged. They took down the lightbox displays (huge frames hanging from the ceiling that have large posters inside with certain bands, movies, ect.) and they repleaced them with these crappy signs saying what department is under it. Well, they shipped us lightbox posters from corporate, even though we don't need them so the employees raided them, and I picked up this one:

http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y20/hellvin/nin2.jpg

This thing is HUGE. 47x47. If no one grabs the PSP one that's in there, I'll probably take that one as well.

Which games are they?

Nothing rare, he named em off to me over the phone, I haven't seen em yet but he says about half have the manual, they all have the liner cards, and all disks are mint.

They are mostly war games, racing games, and a hunting game....typical stuff a bunch of hicks here in SC would have.

Rummage sale season, so I found the following:

SNES2 (Mini) in box complete with 10 games (4 complete in box) for $40 (tried to get down more, but she had it at $50). One of the games was Mario paint with the mouse and mousepad.

SNES unboxed w/ 1 game and 6 NES games for $15 and Duke Nukem 3D on CD for $1. Funny thing is I gave her a $50, and she gave me back $36, so actually $14 for everything.

Pokemon Colosseum for GC new in wrapper for $4

Mary Kate and Ashley 16th B-Day party for $5. (For my daughter but figured it might be rare later on).

Dungeons and Dragons board game $3 and two Atari 2600 controllers, $.25 a piece.

Next weekend there are couple citywide garage sales, so looking forward to that!

Found some unusual Nintendo stuff at a school rummage this morning...

http://img190.echo.cx/img190/8430/sat1qk.jpg

A box of Nintendo Game Packs (32 sealed packs) that featured cards with game tips and stickers or scratch-off versions of early NES titles, along with a bunch of loose cards all for $2.00

A weird Zelda spinning, mini-pinball/skill game. Had corroded battery contacts, but after cleaning...it spins and works, if you can call it that - 50 cents

4 boxed complete NES games. They were marked $2 each, but as I was examining them, I think the lady thought I was stuggling with whether or not to buy them and she offered, "5 bucks for all 4!" ... mark 'em sold!

At another table I got one of those Intellivision TV games controllers - $3.00

Then at Goodwill, I got a stack of bare NES titles - 49 cents each

A few $1.99 PSX titles at EB games

And a GBA Midway Arcade hits new from TRU for $5.48

Rummage season is starting strong in Wisconsin this year!

The one based on the Animated series from the mid-90's? That's the only spider-man game (Next to Web of Fire) I have yet to play.

Yep, that's the one. It's apparently got a horde of villans that all team up to kill spider-man. Green Goblin, Scorpion, Lizard, Doc Ock, Venom, Jack-o-Lantern, Rhino....

Looks really good.

I liked Web of Fire a lot, but it's controls aren't too great.

Prepare to be impressed!

Another awesome haul at the car boot sale! Im so happy

However there was an ebay asshole around.
I picked up and started looking at this mint boxed Atari VCS 2600, i asked the seller how much it was and he replied £10 (at this point, i was thinking "Hell Yeah!") also had 3 boxed games including Indian Jones, Temple Of Doom, which i needed!

so preparing myself to buy it, i pull out my wallet, and find this twat behind me handing cash over jumping before me when i obviously wanted it, and arrived before him.

Luckly for him, im not the guy to start a fight or something along those lines, what goes around comes around...

And it sure did come around and back to me, i scored big!

here we go!

Went to the annual boyscout rummage sale. Started by being pissed off because they advertised it started at 9am in the paper. When I got there the sign out front said 8 am. This was the second year in a row that they did this. I walked in convinced I would find nothing and was blown away by what I saw on the table. My eyes locked on to it @_@ and I quickly grabbed it.

Thats right $1.50. I was pumped to say the least. This is only the second Vectrex I have come across in the wild. The last was over 5 years ago. I was extremely shocked to see it there, especially since I was an hour late to the sale.

It works perfectly. Also in excellent shape cosmetically with one controller that is in perfect condition. There were no carts but it had the mine storm overlay with it.

Thanks everyone, but I think it is a tough call on find of the week. I think the person with the 3 boxed adult atari titles has me beat. It seems like this week has brought a ton of good finds. Oh boy, I finally went to the flea market today. Guess what I got?

Burgertime... $3.00

Thats it, what a depressing letdown. There were at least 6 vendors with videogames, 2 were full of consoles, but there was hardly anything impressive to be had. The best thing I ran into was a Super Mario All-Stars for the SNES with what appeared to be white paint on half the contacts and all over the plastic on the inside... pass.

Oh yeah, one vendor had a yellowed SNES for $45... ROFL.

Hehe, tell me about it. Although to be honest, despite the small d-pad, after giving it a few hours of practice, I'm finding myself able to pull off special moves on the D-pad rather easily now. The triggers are awful for this game though.

Okay, I feel a little better after the disappointing flea market I went to. I stopped at a local EB and got these 3 titles for $3.59 each after Edge card savings:

High Seas Havoc (Genesis, complete)
StarTropics (NES)
Adventure Island II (NES, lots of gunk on the contacts but after a thourough cleaning and a few power up tries, it works! Long live Hudson Soft!)

I had pretty much given up on Goodwill lately, usually they have nothing except some $40.00 loose N64 or something like that. But today I went in and there was a huge pile of NES, Atari and Saturn games. Mostly commons, but I left with:

2600: Spider FIghter
Porky's
3-D Tic Tac Toe
Space Jockey

Saturn: Theme Park

Sega CD: Time Gal

Cost me $10.80. Nothing too great but at least it's something.

I found nothing this weekend.

I believe an R10 was shuffled over to the normal weekend finds, though.

Congrats.

For the first time I was actually in the right place at the right time...
My wife, baby and I were driving to a toy show this morning. I told her I wanted to swing into Goodwill real quick because it was still early and I might actually have a chance of finding something. She reluctantly agreed, but told me to hurry up. I went in and checked the usual shelves and found nothing. I checked the electronics section in back and between an old toaster and an 8 track player, I saw it sitting there. Now this was intriguing, I had never seen it before. But for 2.99 how could I pass it up.
I took it out to the car and grabbed the DP guide while my wife took it out of the box. There it was lightly used and in perfect shape. I fumbled around in the guide and found Kid Vid controller by Coleco with a $0 and an R10!
Heres some pics. if anyone else has one, please let me know. I would love more info.
