With the free shipping and 15% off coupon codes, EB has some unbeatable deals on a few used PS2 games that are way up on my want list. I'm concerned, however, about buying used disc games from an online retailer. Anyone have any experience buying disc games from EB online? How's the quality?

I haven't bought anything used from them, but I have from other online retailers... read their return policy very carefully just in case. The stuff I got from other places (Gamestop.com iirc) was just fine though. I suppose it also depends on how picky you are.

I generally tend to get more ps1 games online than ps2, but basically it's just like shopping in a store. Kind of a crap shoot. Sometimes you get them and they look like they're new, sometimes they're a bit beat. I think they resurface most discs, and the PS2 games usually come with instruction book and case and stuff, albeit in varying condition. If you're getting it on the cheap, I'd say it's worth the risk.

I've bought a few used PS2 games from EB. It's been hit or miss.

Ninja Assault w/ GunCon2 came complete with everything in very good condition, then Kessen came looking like someone found it in the street, but then WarJetz was 'unwrapped new' when I received it. Dot Hack 2 and Goblin Commander were also in top notch condition when I recieved them.

Also, unlike GameStop, EB guarantees a box and manual with all of thier current generation used games.

I'm not completely sure, but if you're not satisfied with the condition of the game, I believe EB lets you return online orders to any of their stores.

Yes EB will ship box and instructions with all current gen games, while gamestop does not. I've had experience with both and I greatly favor EB.

Well, let's just say this...

The last time I got a game from EB, the box was torn up, the disc was FILLED with scratches, and it hads those awful stickers all over them.
