I've got three new PS2 games today, nothing especially rare but I'm still excited about them. I got Hunter The Reckoning Wayward and Warriors Of Might And Magic from the used game stand at our local market. Both after comments in the "Name your favourite hack'n'slay"-thread. Then I got Masters Of The Universe He-Man Defender Of Grayskull in the mail. It's brandnew but still cheap, maybe because it's only in English. I wonder how it is but I don't expect a lot of it. Anyway, I love MotU so it's a good addition to my collection.

I also got a new (original) memory card for the PS1 and the Hellboy DVD special edition.

Hit a school/neighborhood rummage this morning. About 80 vendors and garages in total. There was a guy who had a ton of classic and current gaming stuff, 2600 to X-box, but knew exactly what was rare and what wasn't, and had things priced accordingly. All my finds came from other sellers.

10 SNES games, many with manual and plastic end cap, highlights: Scooby Doo, Mario's Time Machine & Earthbound! - $1.00 Each

Original GBA with Rocket Power Game, like new, $10.00

And the best find of the day, (Cue 80's theme music)...

http://img206.echo.cx/img206/3706/ateam5qi.jpg

An Original A-Team Van for only 2 bucks! A little beat up, but not bad shape at all. It will find a place of honor between the Mach 5 and the ECTO-1 on my game shelves. I pity the fool that don't go to rummage sales!

Yesterday said a 50% chance of rain for today (Saturday). Then late last night I checked again it said no rain. Well it didn't rain.

The fleamarket wasn't too crowded, but here's what I picked up:

NES 4 Score - Allows you to play 4-player games:
http://www.yuppicide.com/other/4score.jpg

Cost me $3 and it's brand new in box still sealed.

NES Satellite - Connect up to 4 controllers to an NES and it's wireless! You can put this unit across the room by the couch or whatever.
http://www.yuppicide.com/other/satellite.jpg

Cost me $5.. also brand new in box.

.. and my favorite find of the day:

Excalibur Mirage Chess Set - I don't really like chess, but I've always wanted one of these. The chess pieces move by themselves when you play the computer! It also teaches you how to play. Originally this was like $200! The guy wanted $20 and I was like well I dunno and he's like do you wanna see and I'm like nah not really.. so I'm walking away and he's like $15 come on take a look at it. He pulls it out of the box.. excellant almost new condition. So, I'm like ahh I dunno and start walking away and he's like you know you can make me an offer. So I go $10 and he says ok and I go sold.

There is some dude out in the country near where I live who has a perpetual yard sale when the weather is warm. He's some sort of junk dealer or something.

He had a tub full of NES games, and some other games and accessories scattered on a table. Picked up the following NES games for $1 a piece (all loose).

Super Sprint (R2 $5)
Time Lord (R2 $3)
Baseball Stars (R2 $10)
Mechanized Attack (R2 $3)
Legendary Wings (R2 $5)
Al Unser Jr. Turbo Racing (R3 $5)
Gradius (R1 $3)
Jaws (R1 $5)
Contra (R2 $10)
Solomon's Key (R2 $5)
Bases Loaded 3 (R2 $5)
Double Dragon II (R1 $3)
Skate or Die (R3 $5)

Also found a Maxi 15 cart. Havent tested it yet so I dont know which one, but it's either an R7 or an R8,so either way it's cool!

Last I grabbed one Atari 5200 cart.

Qix (R2 $5)

There was a whole stack of 5200 games but nothing rare. I don't know why I grabbed this one. I don't have a 5200 anyway.

Anyway, filled in some holes in my NES collection, and picked up some more prizes for the MAME league.

Bah, pretty boring here this weekend... So far I picked up..

5200 Ms. Pac Man Cart
PSX Lego Racers

Both from the local thrift... not special or anything, but I only paid 2.50 for both

Did find a guy selling a N64 this morning at a yard sale. Had 12 games with it, no boxes/manuals, but he said the actual N64 system worked, and all the games worked as well (40.00 for all). I didn't buy (since the games were all ghetto rare), but it was still a nice setup since I could not find my N64 AV cables

I now have a loose Atari 5200 K Razy Shootout for sale, PM me with offers.

I guess I had better luck:

Started slow at a community wide:

5 Xbox games for $4 total. Most were sports titles, but one was Madden '05. Others were Madden '04, NBA Live '04, World Series Baseball 2k3, and Sega GT 2002/JSRF. Not bad for $4 total. All in good condition.

Next got a clear purple Gameboy Color with box and three games (Who want to be a millionaire, Space Invaders, and a Little Mermaid II Pinball (with rumble) for $10. Included manuals also.

Next got a NES Zapper gun, listed at $3, offered $1 along with a Nintendo NES cartridge holder box, and a Super Mario Bros Cart for a $1 each.

Next was my find of the day for me. I saw a little garage sale before I turned into a different neighborhood, but didn't think the wife would want to stop, so I continued past, well we went to eat after couple more and they left it up to me where to go next. So we headed back to that same neighborhood and was driving by the same garage sale that I passed up. Well I was very happy that I stopped.

I got there and noticed a Sears Telegames 6-Switch, looked closer and was a heavy sixer variation. Looked in the box next to it which included 14 games (Bowling (Sears), Pong Sports (Sears), Tank-Plus (Sears), Circus Atari, Breakaway IV (Sears), Barnstorming (Activision), Space Invaders, Target Fun (Sears), Eggomania (US Games), Pac-Man (Sears), Speedway II (Sears), Asteroids, Atlantis (Imagic), and Demon Attack (Imagic). Looked deeper in the box and found all the manuals, two standard Atari joysticks, driving paddles, regular paddles in the box, Atari wireless joysticks, manuals for everything, and cables for every. $10 on the sticker. Cool.

Next I saw something next to it, but wasn't sure when my wife yelled for me. Turned around and she pointed to an Atari 800XL computer in the box and 1010 Tape drive in the box. Lady says, that is a computer, never used, pulled it out once and put it away. I was all excited :), Make an offer on the sticker, hmmm....

Above it was a NES with a cloth cover, two joysticks, power, manuals, and other cables for $5. Another big smile comes across my face.

Well we started picking it all up when I went back to the other table to look at the thing next to the Atari. Came across a V Tech computer. Not one of those cheap childrens toys, but an actual computer, with a chicklet keyboard. Did some research when I got home last night and it has a Z80 processor, mostly sold in Australia. Not much info on it in the states. Here is what I got, all like new in the box:

VZ200 - Personal Color Computer (4K BYTES RAM)
DR10 - Data Cassette Recorder
JS-20 - Joystick x 2 / JI-20 Joystick Interface
16K RAM Memory Expansion Module
6 Data Cassettes (tapes)
Introduction to BASIC (Includes Manual)(16K RAM Required)
CIRCUS (Picture looks like Kickman)
Cheque Book Reconciliation / Family Budget
Demonstration Tape
Match-Box (Matching game)
Bust Out (Breakout clone)

Make an offer. Hmm, well I ask the lady if she would take $20 for it all. She accepted and she was happy that it all went to a good home :). The biggest problem was with the deal (which I ain't complaining) is that she was a smoker and everything had the smokey dirty feel to it. Everytime I handled it I had to wash my hands! After we left I was laughing like a maniac. Wife thought I was nuts.

Had one more garage sale that had some gaming items. They had a bunch N64 items but listed at $8 and $10 a piece. Three of them were boxed so asked the lady if she would take $ 6 for the three. She agreed and I was broke. Got Elmo's Letter Adventure, Tigger's Honey Hunt, and Mickey's Speedway USA. Boxes are all in excellent condition.

Anyway, we didn't get much after that and decided to call it quits. Went to the grandparents house where we dropped off the kids. I still had to go pick up my wife's motherday present so decided to run to town and pick her up some Godiva Chocolate at the mall. On the way back, still saw some signs up and decided to investigate. Got to a moving sale finally and walked around and came to a bunch of NES carts, Genesis Carts, and N64 carts with system. No prices on the NES/Genesis items so asked and she said she was selling them at 2 for $1. I was like cool, but no money :( Asked her if she would accept $20 for the NES games and N64 games (which had $4 listed on each) and she accepted. She asked if I needed a N64 console and I said if you would accept $10, she agreed and was willing to set the items aside for me so I could run to the bank. Got my $30 and quickly came back. Here was my last deal of the day, N64 Atomic Purple edition with the extra controller in the box like new for the $10. N64 carts like new in the box Goldeneye 007, Star Wars Episode I Racer, War Gods, Perfect Dark, Tony Hawks Pro Skater and a N64 Rumble Pack (in the box). Also had one game out of the box NBA Jam '99. Now for the NES games:No boxes though :( Crash 'N' The Boys: Street Challenge, Deadly Towers, Bases Loaded, Tecmo Bowl, Kung Fu, Ice Hockey, Contra, Amagon, Legends of the Diamond, Dr Mario, Wrestle Mania, Track & Field, Wrestle Mania Challenge, Super Mario Bros/Duck Hunt, Super Mario Bros/World Class Track Meet/Duck Hunt, Pipe Dream, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Super Mario 3, TETRIS (Nintendo), AL Unser Jr. Turbo Racing, and Track & Field II. Pretty good for $30.

That was my day except stopping at a video game store and picking up a VTennis Longbox for the Playstation for $3.

Friday the wife picked me up a SNES with 6 games including Jeopardy by Gametek NIB for $20. All hookups, and such.

Not too bad today:

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v369/nintendo-joe/mayfinds.jpg

Average N64 bundle, the highlight being PAPER MARIO! I enjoyed the gamecube version so much, i've been wanting this for a while.

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v369/nintendo-joe/mayfinds1.jpg

Random bits, highlights include boxed Wario Land 3, Sensible Soccer 'Demo Not for Resale' Mega CD Disc and yet another Sonic 3.

WOW, looks like you got a lot of good stuff.

Thanks, I was quite excited about the New In Box Atari 800XL setup, but since it had a rip on the box, wasn't sure. When I opened it up and had the plastic wrap on everything and nothing was undone, I got a warm fuzzy. It will be fun to test it all out.

Gunstar, I'd say the highlight is Paper Mario and Bust-A-Move 2. The N64 version is pretty top notch and a must have :)

Ok, let's see. First from the flea market today:

For $20:

Tail Gator (GB)
Ax Battler (Game Gear)
Sonic the Hedgehog (GG)
Mappy (Japanese Version?-GG)
Castle of Illusion (GG)

Then I stopped at Circuit City and Target and picked up:

Star Ocean (PS2) 19.99
Burnout 3 (PS2) 19.99
Tales of Symphonia (GC) 19.99

Then I stopped at Best Buy and got oodles of FREE GUIDES!

I originally was only buying a Burnout 3 guide for $0.01 when the cashier said "we have a bunch of old guides behind the counter here if you want them. We're not allowed to sell them but you can have them."

That's all I need to hear. :-P

So I grabbed:

3 copies of Metroid Prime 2 Echoes
3 copies of Pokemon Red/Green
1 copy of Goldeneye Rogue Agent

I could have took A LOT more but I only took a few things.

Just came back from a family get together at my Grandmothers and my cousin gave me some old games he didn't want:

Sega Genesis with 2 controllers.. has everything 'cept the cable to connect to TV

Games: Sonic, Sonic 2, Vectorman 2, Tiny Toons Buster's Hidden Treasures, Aladdin, The Lion King, Sonic & Knuckes and one N64 game: Super Smash Bros.

P.S. - I forget what it's for so can someone refresh me.. Sonic & Knuckles opens up on top and has a cartridge slot. What went in there?!

found a river city ransom at the local goodwill... unfortunately the "shiny" part of the label had been peeled off and it looked absolutely awful.
