Got myself a Genesis 2 Box, the Sonic Spinball one.
Its in pretty damn good condition, but there seems to be a very small blemish, almost like a factory-defect or something, because there is no way I can remove it.
I'm anal, but hey, I guess my super minty genesis will rest in this box til I find a Sonic 2 one.
Which reminds me, ANYONE have a minty Genesis 2 Sonic 2 box?! I am dying for one.

God it takes forever to get stuff from Canada. Any time I've bought or sold there it's taken at least three weeks...anyhow it was well worth it:
Genesis - Master of Monsters (complete)
Absolutely mint and perfect! Only a 9.99 bin and 4 bucks shipping. Best BIN I've done in a while. There's another renovation title down.

Saw a Ceasars Palace for Genesis at the thrift store.. blah what the hell 50 cents.... It was plugged into a Sonic And Knuckles for whatever reason and only the Ceasars palace was priced so got both for 50 cents... Good price but nothing exciting. I did want to play sonic knuckles tho so guess that worked out well...

all the games came with their manuals. from the look of the cases and the labels put on the cases, i thought these were ex-rentals, but there's no way they were (or if they were, they weren't rented). carts are all perfect, and manuals show minimal wear.

Sonic Adventure 2: 10th Anniversary Birthday Pack arrived in the mail today. The actual game is still sealed but the bonus stuff has been used. Its in excellent condition and it was a nice surprise to find that the booklet has English as well as Japanese writing. Also comes with a music CD which is good in places, the vocal songs are rubbish
Also picked up Polarium for the DS.

I wanted one of these for the longest time and flipped when I saw this at the local Salvation Army today. Was originally $40, but they gave me a 50% student discount instead of the normal 20% (they weren't even supposed to start giving student discounts till next week too but I got it anyway....and I'm not even a student anymore) And that it came with the Sega pack module was an extra bonus. :P
Now if I could just get my hands on the Turbografx module for it.

During most days, I hate my job (I'm a traveling salesman now), but today was one of those days that I actually enjoyed it.
At the same country thrift where I found the bare Saturn with the battery ripped out, I lucked up and found the rest of the former owner's collection. This is what I got:
Bootleg Sampler (disc only)
Daytona USA (complete)
Daytona USA: Championship Circuit Edition (complete)
Duke Nukem 3D (complete)
Enemy Zero (complete)
Hang-On GP (complete)
Maximum Force (complete)
Myst (disc only)
NBA Jam: Tournament Edition (complete)
NFL Quarterback Club 96 (complete)
Nights Into Dreams (not for resale, jewel case, complete)
Quarterback Attack (disc only)
Resident Evil (disc only)
Road Rash (complete)
Romance of the Three Kingdoms IV: Wall of Fire (disc only)
Sample Cuts (disc only)
Street Fighter: The Movie (complete)
Striker 96 (complete)
Sega Saturn back-up (memory card?)
The Need For Speed (complete)
Tomb Raider (complete)
Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3 (complete)
Virtua Fighter (jewel case, complete)
Everything was labeled $1.95, but I flirted with the girl at the counter a bit, and she rung everything up for $10.97 total! @_@
What a way to start a Saturn collection! These babies can join my unplayed Japanese Konami Arcade Classics game that I will play as soon as I get an ST Key (I think that's what they are called), some cords and some controllers.
I don't think anything listed here is rare, but I believe I got a really good deal...

A couple of longbox games:
Kileak - The DNA Imperative : $2.50
King's Field: $2.50
Four cheap Blackbox NES games, loose:
Golf
10 Yard fight
Kung Fu
Tennis
Those were $1 a piece.
Finally, my 2 SNES finds, which I am proud of:
U.N. Squadron $2.50
and.....
SHADOWRUN $2.50
I was so pumped, because I haven't seen this game since I started collecting! (I had it as a child.) So, anyway, I'm excited about it. Great game, and so cheap.

So how is the SNES ShadowRun? I know where I can get a nice, clean copy on the cheap but am reluctant in doing so. I hated the Genesis ShadowRun so much that I've become too skeptical to even think about purchasing the SNES one.

It is very, very good. A lot more streamlined and smooth than the Genny version, although not quite as complex and deep of a system (less stats, etc.) Much more of a Zelda-like adventure really, but 2.5 D perspective like Fallout, Diablo, etc. Honestly one of my favorite games.
A totally different game than the Genesis version, I should add. Night and day.
From the guide: "Futuristic cyber RPG. Also released on the Genesis, however the two titles play completely different. The SNES version is generally referred to as the better one. Packaged with a poster."

Yesterday, I picked up a complete copy of Urban Strike for Genesis for $2 at a thrift store. Also, traded in my black GBA SP, some disc-only PSX games, and 3 GBC dupes I had for a Classic NES GBA SP at Gamestop. I'm wondering now if that was worth it since the new GBA has a dead pixel and a chip in the screen (only noticable when turned on).
Also, got a complete Super Metroid for $12 shipped off eBay. Will have to see what condition it comes in when it arrives...
I couldn't get to the thrift store today and Tuesday is generally when they have lots of new stuff out. Hopefully I can go tomorrow and good stuff will still be there.

I just picked up the following after work lastnight:
Bomberman Online (complete, disc mint $4.99)
Raycrisis (disc only but in perfect shape, $3.99)
MSG: Encounters In Space ($26.99)
State of Emergency (don't laugh, it was $5.99 and mint)
Gradius V ($19.99)
Phantasy Star Collection ($14.99)
The manager of the EB told me that they were going to stop carrying Genesis games when the merger with Gamestop is completed, so I'm probably going to go back and pick up all their Genny games that are complete w/ boxes and such. There were about 10 or so running about $3-5 ea.

Passed up Odyssey 2 Quest for the Rings today. The box wasn't in the best shape (the string on one side was broken and it wouldn't close properly). No game or instructions, but had a bunch of plastic pieces and about 11 coins and two boards. If I had an idea of what a complete one looked like I might have picked it up, but as it was, it didn't seem worth it (even for $1)

from a thrift store with designs on being a boutique that i can't remember the name of in west hollywood. they're all shrinkwrapped, though the home run box is squished a bit. left behind 3 more sea hunts and 3 boxed 2600 footballs, because there's only so much space i can justify destroying in my place with froggo games and the like...
later found the star wars bonus material dvd from the trilogy box set on its own for $7. i have dvd burns of the laserdiscs and am in no particular hurry to get the box set, so this was nice to find.

The story goes like this.
I saw legend of legaia and doom1 at first, bought legaia but changed my mind on doom. I walked out, then walked back in forgetting to ask if they had a vib ribbon at all. And just my luck i saw a Xevious 3D/G+ (only 1 on ebay) so i can tell these games are bto hrare
