EBgames came through. I was on my way to a salvation army in Key Largo when I decided to stop in at a EB games on my way. I walked in, searched around and at the bottom of the bin, Stadium events. I checked the part number and it was there NES-SD-USA. I bought it total price to me 9.99 . Needless to say I was excited.

I eventually made it to the salvation army where I found and bought Atari Video cube and a Wico Trakkball controller in the original box in good condition. The atari Vieo cube game and trakball will be available for bidding on ebay later this week my ebay sn is SLIOPISDEAD Happy Bidding!!!

Wow you guys are fast.

Rule #1 of Awesome Finds 101: You need a pic with the initial post or eat flames. Get busy uploading, or get busy burning.

The reason is, that the bulk of us who have at least a year under our belts, have been witness to at least one idiot, asshole, or butt monkey who says 'LOOK AT ME RARE' and can't back it up.

Not that you're that monkey. Far from it. I'm just giving you background about the previous 5 posts.

So that being the case, silence the masses, and give us a pic. If you can't, my standard BS detector offer of $5 is always open to you.

Well hell, since everyone else is callin BS, I might as well too. Doesn't EB use a pricing system that would make Stadium Events much more than just $9.99? (For example, buying a Paper Mario at Gamecrazy will set you back $24.00, so they actually make it hard to find any decient deals. You end up paying for what rarity you find, is it the same at EB?

Sorry it has to be like this , but also rule #2 :
New DP members who have little posting or background history will probably not be believed :/

Hopefully you can get us picture of said game and the receipt. If you truely found them then contgrats ! Providing us with a picture will end any doubt. ;)

Actually, I would expect it to work the other way around. It looks like a crappy game that 99.9% of the general public would not buy. I'm pretty sure that I saw in one of those Funcoland papers that it was only $0.99 all the way up until they stopped doing those.

I'd like to see said receipt too. But I doubt we will.

If he's a newbie or not doesn't matter, big stores and also smaller ones have sometimes some great games really cheap. I got Black Jack for the NES for less then 2,50 $ a few years back at the local toystore. Complete with box and manual. They sometimes just don't know what some game is worth for collectors and hey for some games the prices can be really high even though the game sucks.

Anyway have fun with you're Stadium Events.

This smell of bullshit is about to make me puke, WE NEED PICTURES.

A little off topic but i have recently purchased a complete copy of Fun n Games for snes for only 27 bucks off Half.com. I was a little suspicious so i E-mailed the seller and he claims it is indeed the snes version and the box and manual are in great condition. Once i recieve it in the mail I'll try to post some photos here. Only time will tell if it's the real deal....

The chances of finding a copy of a game like Stadium Events at a Gamestop or EB games is probally nil. In their price check book under stuff like the NWC cart, stadium events cart, ect it probally has in bold *SEND TO HQ* then they probally toss it on ebay LOL . Either that or a store employee knows the games worth and nabs it for themselves.

You would be amazed how many people that work at those stores don't know the value of old stuff.

I bought loose copies of Bounty Bob and Meteorites for the 5200 for $11 dollars total. :D

And I can take a picture to prove it! Let me know.

Quickly? Nah. Just past experience with similar claims from other posters, which turn out to be BS. And it happened that the past claims too were about Stadium Events. So, it's not surprising that everyone's BS spidey-sense is tingling like crazy.

$0.29. Not like they ever had it in stock. :)

Well, someone had it in stock, and judging by the price it sat... and sat... and sat... and sat...

Back then, people looking at it probably didn't know it was a rare game or would be worth anything. It wasn't until the Internet age began that people began to care.

One of my friends called them up in the mid-90's and back-ordered about 12 games for the NES through them. It took them a long time to get them all out, but he got them all -- including Fire N Ice, Little Samson, Pirates!, and a few other pretty rare games. Then people figured out what was really rare, and they shut down that service quickly.

But anyway, at one point it was $0.29 for a reason... In fact, I'm about 99% positive that I almost bought one a long time ago, but I didn't have a Power Pad. The place I was looking at had a bunch of the Power Pad games, and I had picked up ~ 6 games that I assumed went with it all for a couple bucks or less, and then put them back because my dad talked me out of them. I'm pretty sure there was a Stadium Events in that group.

Ah well ;)

totally agree. True story - factory sealed NES flintstones 2 sold on ebay for $36 around 1998. And that was on a relist as it didn't sell the first time at the opening bid of around $33. Nobody gave a shit about it then. I'm sure the same was true of SE.

Reminds me of the time when my buddy who really doesnt know much about video games called me up to tell me that he just won an auction on ebay for a factory sealed Chrono Trigger for $29.00 plus shipping.... I told him he was full of it and he brought it over to PROVE that I was the one that was full of crap.. not him...

he then pulled out his ps1 final fantasy chronicles and all I could do was laugh... best part was how much he payed for it..

Get the photos on your computer. Get a site where you can post them up. Upload the photos onto the site. Above where you are typing, You'll notice some boxes (Quote, code, list, Img, URL) Click IMG.. Put the domain name (Example: http://www.myphotos.com) After the text that pops up. Then click IMG again.

I wasn't quite sure about it either until i tried it.

fine. lets call his bluff.. lets say he got it off ebay, lets say he didnt get it from EB, lets say the pics arent even his!

Still, that pic is not photoshopped, and that cart is real. So somewhere. someone. has that cart. Whether they paid 10 dollars, 100 dollars, or some rich person paid 1000 dollars. That is still a centerpiece to any NES collection.

So maybe he is lying because he is new and doesnt know how to post pics. Maybe he just bought it off ebay for some outrageous price. the point is, he has one, and most people don't! I can say at least 90% of the people on this board are jealous he even HAS the cart. regardless of the price.

Sorry Bluteg, I am not trying to attack you personally, so please don't take offense to this post. I just hate it how quick we judge nowadays... I understand there are people that lie about finds just for kicks, but we condemned this guy before he even got a chance to try to post pics.

Now if he has lied.... and that cart isnt his..... Then let him burn in Gamefaqs forums forever.
