The loose cartridges I own. Back when I used to just play games I didn't mind, but after the late SNES early N64/PSX era is when I started to collect and if I ever buy any game it has to be complete in good condition.

The worst part convenience-wise is everything being crammed into as small a space as possible, including 60 GBA games in a space about the size of, well, 60 GBA games jammed together with no space between them (5x4x3 in case you were wondering). In terms of content, the sheer amount of cruft in my PS2 list- the thinking being that semi-decent and £2= might as well buy. It quickly got out of hand. The 360's going to go the same way, I can feel it...

I see topics upon topics about people showing off their favorite parts or rarest or best parts of their collection, but how about the worst part or parts?
Personally, I hate having to keep my games under my futon and bed in these bins:
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v93/Kuros/gamecollection/gcollect012.jpg
It's pretty unflattering and the games get dusty on the top, but what can I do? I have no room elsewhere.
Another thing is that I have a copy of Superman for the NES, but the board inside is for The Legend of Zelda. It's annoying.
OMG I do the exact same thing

Definitely all my porn games. How the hell did I end up with a "Debbie Does Nes" cart anyway?

Worst parts of mine...
Only 4 of my 3DO games are in their original jewel cases.
My SMS and 7800 both have chunks of plastic knocking around inside them (the little tubes that the screws go into).
I only own one Sega Saturn game, one PSP game, two Virtual Boy games, two 32X games, two GBA games, and zero Jaguar games. It's like - what's the point?
I have a random amount of loose vs complete games for my cartridge-based systems. It just feels as though I should pick one or the other instead of having two of my 26 SNES games or three of my 21 N64 games boxed.

I have a bunch of Sega CD games, but no SCD to play em
I have a LaserActive Sega PAC, but no LaserActive unit to put it in
I have an Atari 5200, but am missing the power adapter
I have a bunch of Atari games, and only just started getting non-atari, non-activision ones.
Finally, my ps1 collection pretty much sucks, as does my genesis collection
oh, and also all the crappy kids games i have (Which i am planning to sell the non-nintendo ones)
EDIT - i do the same thing nebagram. Except with all my game boy games >_>

The worse part for me is the massive size. I recently got an new lcd tv so I tried to rearrange my room and was seriously overwhelmed at the endless stream of games.
UGG flashbacks LOL.
I dream of a bigger house with a full basement or getaway for my collection.

My copy of Ogre Battle (PS1) has a slightly loose case and some water damage. Very annoying, as I love the artwork for it.
Oh, my Lunar: Silver Star (Sega CD) has a chewed up instruction manual (literally, I think). It's not too bad, though, as I have a sealed copy, but it's still annoying enough to where I plan on replacing it.

This giant stack of broken or cordless systems I have that I have no idea what to do with. (What can you do with 10+ cordless genesis and 4 broken dreamcast??)
The big pile of educational ADAM games I got for free at the flea market with big, oddly shaped squished cardboard boxes that I got for free at the flea market and also have no idea what to do with...
Those shitty NES games from my other topic. They sit on top of my game shelf as I don't want to mix them with the other games so they don't start to smell like mold.

Several of my Dreamcast games have printed out inserts for the jewel cases to resemble the originals...you can't tell by looking at them but upon closer inspection they're not the real inserts. Oh yeah and the fact that 95% of my collection is in storage because I'm living in a small trailer until I find a bigger place to live... :(

Wow, most of my collection is also in storage too. I have moved 5 times in the past 3 years, so most of my collection hasn't seen daylight in about a year.

I keep a lot of my games in plastic cases under my bed too. I do like 16 Qt. Sterllite plastic containers for storing systems. They are pretty much the perfect size for a system and its accessories.
Bad bits:
I have an Orge Battle for the PSX with no box or instructions.
One of the major problems with my collection is the amount of games I have with some other jerk's name on them. I do not know who Brandon Brewer, Chris Jenkins, or Alex Norton are but I have a bunch of their old games. I assume they are people who were strapped for cash. Worst case: Spanky's Quest, a game I love, has the information for some video store written all over it. I should call them up and tell them they ruined a great cart. One night I am going to find them in their sleep kidnap their puppy or take a dump in their mailbox or something. It's really to save the puppy. They'll probably give it sharpie poisoning when they write their name all over it.
I also have minor label damage on a few NES titles (Kirby's Adventure, Arkanoid, a few others). It really isn't bad damage at all. A non-sticking edge here or there or a surface scratch, just enough to annoy me.
I have a PS2 controller with a mystery part that rattles when it vibrates. I am too cheap to spring for a new one.
Due to garage sells I have a few systems that look bad. I have two yellow Super Nintendos. I don't know if you've ever seen a yellow SNES but it creates this sort of urine stain look...or how I imagine something would look if you blew cigarette smoke on it 24 hours a day. One of the Pee Super Nintendos is beat to hell. It has dings, scratches, little pieces that rattle around, and little holes in the outside case. I plan to give them both away to a friends very soon.
I also have an Atari 5200 with a severed power cord. Any idea on how to fix that?

I hate boxes.
I hate them so much I hide the ones I have and store the rest at my mother in laws. About half my nes collection is CIB, but I absolutle hate the space that boxes take.
I also hate the fact that as a teenager i went through a cleaning spree and threw out all my snes boxes and Intructions, Goodbye Chrono trigger, FF3, Secret of Mana/every other rpg you can think of. =(
Ya know what the worst part of my collection is? Nothing! :D
Taken from the line the Balwins used in the South Park movie.

I went hunting for my copy of Silent Hill about a month ago cause a friend-of-a-friend had been saying how much she enjoyed 2 and wanted to play the original, but she can't find a half decent price on it anywhere....I found the case, but no sign of the disc anywhere in my house :(

My NES is missing its screws, so the internals just sit loose inside the case. Also, the fact that all of my NES games except 2 have no box with it.

The worst part of my collection would probably be the empty space where my ps1 games used to be before I traded them to gamestop years ago for store credit oh god I hate looking at that CD rack with no CDs but the best part is that I'm gradually finding them in the wild for mad cheap! Hey Koshichka if you don't find your disc can you sell me your silent hill case? I found a copy in the wild but it was disc only and would love to have the case as well! Anyways, let me know!

The worst part is the wires. I'm not a very organized guy and my collection is pretty much strewn about, which is bad in and of itself, but the consoles all get tangled up together and I have a huge medusa's head of wires lying across the floor! XD

Thats better than what happened to me. I had all of my cords neatly wound up and organized and it was sitting in a cardboard box that was splitting apart so my mother came by it and decided to viciously dump them into another box. Most of them became unravelled and now I have a massive, heavy cable-spaghetti that is never going to come apart. Cords from 74 game consoles mashed together. :'(

Hahah, holy crap. Reminds me of when I let my controllers bunch up inside of my closet. A huge bundle of NES, SNES, and N64 controllers all in a huge bird's nest. Well, if you get at it one day, it'll probably take you less time than you'd think.

This I disagree with; someday, it will be hard to get these games other than online. Plus, it's worth it to get games you plan to play, too.
