Well no Mega Man games will be on it most likely because of the collection already released...
I also doubt any of the disney games will make an appearance...
Gun.Smoke would be nice, and so would Trojan....

Ohhh, I can't wait. It's nice to see a completely new & fresh classic compilation on its way. I'm getting fed-up with those damn Namco compilations that come out every time a new system is released. It's good to finally see some new titles.

Well, out of the 5 confirmed games out of 22, 3 are good enough reasons for me to warrant getting it: 1942, Bionic Commando and Commando. And this despite the fact that I have 1942 for the NES, Bionic Commando for the NES and its semi-sequel for the GBC and Commando for the Atari 2600 (plus in emulation via Activision Anthology PS2). :D
I just hope that the bulk of the remaining 17 games won't be all variants of Fatal Fury, Street Fighter, etc. I don't mind fighting games, but variety's nice.
Oh, and please, not Knights of the Round! After playing in the MAMe tournament, I can't say that I fell madly in love with that game (not bad, but ooh the collision detection!).

If there is no GC love for this game, I seriously am probably going to finally buy an XBOX system. I am currently waiting for another price drop, whether that's in 2 months or 2 years, it doesn't matter. i do have enough games to hold me over til then.
Anything for Bionic Commando!

Bionic Commando was changed quite a bit from the arcade to NES port. It's worth owning both versions. The GBC version I've never played or even looked at screenshots.
I'll be looking for this collection for sure!
It's definitely a plus packing 20 games on a collection instead of the 4-6 game sets some companies still try to pass off as collections.

Not bloody likely, but man, I'd be just happy with a 194X collection with all the games.
Comment on this thread, it's funny to me how judging by many people's posts it seems like most people are only familiar with these games from the NES ports. I know back in the day, unless an arcade near us had one of these games, we had no idea these were ports and not originals for the NES. Rest ashured, as good as the NES ports are, this will be better.
Oh, and I'd love a Capcom Disney collection too, though I know for licensing reasons it'll never happen. Man, I loved those games, back in the day. :)

Yeah ppl do remember the NES version more.
Then agian Capcom effort to distribute there games back then didn't seem, like much for the arcades any ways :hmm:
Heck i was lucky to even play Bionic Commando,Willow and Strider in the arcades.... so long ago.

I haven't played the arcade version too much (mostly on the C64) but it's such a different game that I don't think it had any of that content to begin with.
After reading this, I had to go and play through the arcade game again. Here's the scoop on the differences:
1. There's more of an emphasis on action. Remember all that stuff like the map, communicators and such from the NES game? Forget 'em, they aren't in the arcade. No neutral zones, no radio rooms, no subselection of weapons and items - new guns parachute down from the sky.
2. Virtually no bosses. At the end, there's a couple, but that's it.
3. No Nazis, or Badds, or whatever other name you want to call them. Just a bunch of generic Nazi-esque bad guys - a lot of which did make it to the NES game, like the midgets that drive things - led by Santa in a military uniform (one of the aforementioned bosses).
4. No Hitler-resurrection plot. Therefore, no exploding Hitler head at the end.
5. You respawn from where you died, even after continuing, and since you parachute in with every new life, you can sometimes jump ahead of where you were.
6. It's REALLY short. It must have taken me about 15 minutes to go through it from start to finish, if that.
Still, it's quite fun. I may play through it again soon.

I don't think the prices of the Capcom Generations will go down. Hey and if you want to buy them, I still have a PS1 PAL version for sale. I think it's cheaper to get this version then Japanese versions.

Those were all on Capcom Generation 3 together with Vulgus. Personal I really like Son Son, it's a bit like a much older version of Psycho Soldier. It's a forced side-scrolling platform game where you have to shoot all the enemies. Only negative point is that the game can be frustrating as when you die you're new player can be placed on the screen on a place you don't have time to hide which makes it cost you another life. But I finished the game.
Higemaru is a simple action-puzzle game a bit like Pengo on a pirate ship, I don't think it's that great.
Exed Eyes is a shooter like Vulgus but with an other theme. Love it or hate, personally I think it's abit outdated and boring now.

what!!?? A version of Final Fight thats 2 players on a console???!!! Too bad its about 15 years late..
I remember the day I got my SNES. I got it on my 10th birthday (14 years ago on June 1st) JUST for final fight. My little heart was broken when I took my new system and game to my friends house to only find out that not only was it missing my favorite character, but it wasnt even 2 players.
Final fight was THE ONLY game that me and my best friend Dustin played. We rode down to the local arcade/Bowling ally ever weekend and blew our 5 bucks allowance. It was a good 5 miles to the bowling ally so this was a BIG sacrifice for us..
It will be nice to finally have a copy of Final Fight that is true to its arcade version..
I also have to say that having the SF2 arcade ports will be a nice perk :)

The Sega CD version has all the characters and was 2-player simultaneous (it also had the bits that were censored from the SNES version).

Not quite all the bits that were censored are in the Sega CD version. The female enemies' outfits are a bit less revealing (I know the shorts became at least knee length).

Hey, thanks, but it's looking like (if that magic-box list is right) the compilation will have everything from the Capcom Generation volumes 1-5 plus Final Fight, Forgotten Worlds, Legendary Wing, Section Z, and Trojan. So I'm going to take a wait-and-see attitude in the hopes that (1) the magic box is right, and (2) this gets released in the U.S.
Even if I buy it new on release, it'd probably cost less than buying the PAL CG 1-5, and definitely a bunch less than importing the JP NTSC versions.

AvP would have been nice, but there's that pesky licensing issue... and why does everyone keep calling Exed Exes Exed Eyes? For that matter, where's Strider (I know about its inclusion on Strider 2, but that set's been damned near forgotten)? And why does there have to be three versions of Street Fighter II, instead of just including the best one and sticking a few more unique games on the disc? And where's 1941 and SideArms, damn it?
All that aside, if this makes it to the U.S. I'll have to pick it up... it'll make a nice replacement for my long-lost Saturn Capcom Generation collection. Plus it'll be nice to finally play the arcade versions of Forgotten Worlds, Final Fight, Bionic Commando, Trojan and Legendary Wings on a console.

This is LONG OVER DUE, no longer would I have to use mame to play those games (my primary reason for setting up emulation).
I'm a Final Fight fanatic, I had thrown over $100 worth of quarters at arcade and almost beat the game w/o continuing, of those 17 games listed, I would've bought the game w/o blinking if they only have those 5 games, Final Fight, 1943, Ghost'n Goblin (strangely I don't like the 2 sequals), Gun.Smoke, and Trojan.
