Instead of resurfacing the weekday finds thread, I think it's close enough to the holiday weekend to make this thread more appropriate. I'll start:

Vectrex system
Two Vectrex Controllers
Vectrex Dust Cover
Nine games with overlays and manuals:

Pole Position !!!!
Berzerk
Clean Sweep
Rip Off
Hyper Chase
Cosmic Chasm
Armor Attack
Spike
Scramble

All the games are for sale/trade (I stopped collecting Vectrex carts once I picked up a space-saving multicart). See this thread for detail: http://www.digitpress.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=680820

I may also be selling a Vectrex system if anyone's interested. This new machine works very well, but has a faded plastic shell. My old Vectrex is jet-black, but has a vertical screen size issue - probably very fixable, but I haven't taken the time to open it up. So, I haven't decided if I want to keep the one with the better screen, the better body, or just keep both. If one does go to a new home, it will come with a modified Genesis controller instead of a Vectrex controller, as well as a bit of a discounted price.

I actually went out today for the first time in a good while and got the following for $18 or so:

1 Dreamcast A/V cable
1 NES Console
4 NES Zappers
12 NES Nintendo Brand Controllers
5 NES Power Supplies
1 NES A/V Cable
2 NES RF Switches

That'll help me finish up a bunch of bare bones NES consoles that I've had laying around waiting to be unloaded. Those power supplies are worth their weight in gold around here.

These weren't finds over the weekend, but actually the finds I had in Arizona last week. I found so much I had to get it shipped back to Michigan :D

Green dots denote R7's, and the red is an R8.

Sadly, the connectors on Zero the Kamikaze Squirrel are cracked. It has a 50/50 chance of working.

The Dreamcast is an ex-rental unit, sadly not the kiosk unit I was hoping for. However, what makes it special is that it has the hard to find dummy extension instead of a modem.

Everything ran about $350-$400....not to shabby considering the N64 games are worth $175ish alone (I found 2 copies of Harvest Moon.... can't seem to locate the other one right now....)

I'm at work right now, and off of an emeritus professor, I scored an Apple //e with a 1 meg RamFactor card, 2 Disk ][ drives, and a green monochrome Apple monitor. So now I have three Apple 2's of varying models.

Edit: It was free.

Not really a find, but I received Kaze Kiri today from the trade I did with Trevor Belmont.

At Savers today:
-A loose black N64 with four sports games - $70.
-A Gameboy SP carrying case with included car charger and magnifying screen (no SP, just the accessories) - $30
-A Dreamcast with one controller, no VMU and no games - $45

At Goodwill today:
-A Game Gear with no games and a car charger - $35
-A round-button Sega Saturn with hookups and controllers but for some weird reason was bundled with a bunch of audio CD's - $30
-A loose untested X-Box with no controls, hookups or games - $40.

...of course I didn't buy any of these things, I just found them (and walked away in disgust). Come to think of it I haven't bought anything game-related in a month and I think I finally know why: my local thrifts have finally lost their f-----g minds.

I'd probably buy that if I came across it assuming it's clean and works. I've never once come across a Saturn system in the wild, and I imagine with the cost of shipping added on, you probably couldn't do much better on eBay. *shrugs*

In fairness, I agree that was the one reasonable price among the stuff I listed. I myself have run across 3 or 4 Saturns in the wild for about that price range (bought 2 of them) and find it perfectly equitable. The reason I listed this was because I saw it and I thought wtf is this one doing bundled with a bunch of audio CD's which, I might add, looked like they were from the bargain bin to begin with? Definitely no known artists in the lot. All in all it was a peculiar approach to "adding value" on the part of this Goodwill, imho.

Eh, I found mine at the swap meet for $10 with Virtua Cop and the gun.

No hookups or controllers, but still a great deal.

It's a model 1.

On topic: I got some stuff today...

SNES: While at work (gamestop) some dude tried to trade these in but when I said we don't take them anymore, he gave them to me. Some were in horrible order (really dirty) but I just cleaned them and all work. :D

Mighty Morphin Power Rangers
Earthworm Jim 2
The Chessmaster
Mortal Kombat 2
Earth Defense Force
Mortal Kombat
Super Mario All Stars
D-Force
Phalanx

Today was something of a happy and sad day for me, collecting-wise. Attended a moving sale of the house in front of which I found my Super Pong Ten, one of my catalysts into the world of classic videogaming. This place had long been renowned for gigantic yard sales, selling all sorts of junk. The sales had abated in the past few years, but they are moving away from the house, which will likely be demolished, so they are holding a complete-home junk sale. The entire place is filled with boxes of junk, much of it electronic; old aftermarket car stereos, low-mid end stereo equipment, eight tracks (nothing which seemed notable), and even a quadrophonic reel-to-reel tape deck.

In one of the rooms, I found a boxed TRS-80 Color Computer 2. It looks as if it was barely used, as does the GE "Computer Program Data Recorder" which goes with it (no cartridges or tapes came with the setup, unfortunately). I hooked it up to a TV, and it works pretty good. I picked up the whole set for only six bucks. I also bought a Sony standalone CD player, a movie camera spotlight, and a small bug zapper (one of the in-house units which uses a tubular purplish incandescent bulb, and never seems to actually zap anything). All in all, a pretty good haul, but it's sad to know that they won't be holding any more of these sales.

Man thats a nice lot!!

I never find Genesis stuff around here it's really strange considering the popularity of the system and the fact that I find tons of SNES stuff.

I guess it's backwards where i am. I do find SNES Stuff on occsasion, But not as often as genesis.

It's strange in my area. You NEVER Know what you'll find here. It's Very Random. And you'll never know the condition until you're there.

I was surprised to find Boxed atari games last week.

wow, nice load of sega stuff there.make sure you play thru rise of the dragon for sega cd,its a great game.

I'll give it a try.

Flea market=Sickening as the vendors are getting ridiculous with the prices..
I've never seen so many Nintendo's in one visit like I've seen today.....Boxed NES systems etc.
1 Atari 2600 that was super nice for $25.00,but upon looking at it,it was missing a switch button..My dad was going to grab it to have a spare but I said No..

$40.00 for the Boxed NES(Action Set)...Sets..they had one that had all the insides, complete used.
The others had broken Styrofoam...complete but used, and not super clean..
$20-to 25.00 for every no box NES deck system..and SNES.
I could not break any of these vendors today for their prices,no matter how I tried.....Even NES systems missing parts like the plug and RF switch $20.00.

I have a boxed NES (Action Set)...so I don't need another one..
I was looking to but NES systems as I usually do and resell them on Ebay..
IMO $40.00 for a boxed/used NES system is steep at a flea market...I'm taking to much a chance on loss if I spend that much..
And $25.00 to $20.00 for loose NES systems is too much too.
Man,even the loose NES/SNES games were 5-6 bucks with no haggling on price..

My dad and wife were surprised as I didn't buy hardly anything..They beat me today as my dad spent around $170.00 on a Airsoft M4 Rifle(his second) and two Pistols plus other crap..
I was able to haggle prices for him but not myself...(he loves it the way I haggle)
My wife spent $60.00 on Coca Cola items(new stuff)...too..

So I picked up one old Coca Cola item for her for $5.00 besides what she bought.

I picked before I left an AMERICAN Pachinko machine with balls....I tried to haggle $5.00,as it was $12.00 then came back and gave him $10.00.

Gameboy Pocket...
This guy had a lot of stuff,..but he also would not break on price foe anything..He had a loose Gamegear cart on the table for $5.00,I told him $3.00 after I bought the GB and he said no.
The Gameboy Pocket I had passed up the first time around as he had it with some games for $30.00...(but I never saw any games as he had so much stuff)
He said with games $30.00

$30.00 hit me in the head like a brick..($20.00 for the unit-set alone)..I offered him $15.00 for the GB and he refused,so I left.
Later I came back and gave him the $20.00 for the GC and he said that they stole all the GB games he had for it on the table.
I didn't buy anything else so I said the heck with it as I collect Gameboys..It looks complete with all the stuff that comes with it inside the case, and the CB itself is MINT with not a scratch-mark on the screen or any sign of usage.
The Screen Bezel is Chrome..

Oh yea,it's big.

One lady had a pile of loose Texas Instuments Carts at $2.00 a pice but I passed as she would not break for a buy the lot price.

By the way.. If anybody is interested I bought Altered Beast mainly for the manual, so if anybody wants a boxed copy of Altered Beast for the Master System send me a PM.

I went to EBGames to pick up a game, but there was a girl in line in front of me trading in her PSOne (the mini system). Well Ive been looking for one of these but didn;t want to pay what they are going for (I missed out on the TRU blowout). Well the store offered her $10 in store credit, so I offered her $15 in cash. I won.

Nice little system. I like that it uses the same hookups as my PSTwo.

Just out of interest, not to be offensive but why would you want a psone when slimline ps2 plays all the ps1 games... Or is it to mod and play imports?

I never condone stealing, but after hearing about the fuckheads you've dealt with (sounds like the ones I put up with daily), hearing that someone stole his overpriced games brings a slight smile to my face.

Because it's really, really cheap, and tiny. God do I love tiny systems. The PS2 doesn't play every game right either, and hey it saves wear and tear on the drive.

I stumbeled into what appears to be a new sealed Thousand Arms for the PS at a local GameStop (it was marked used but shrink and everything is making me think otherwise) while hunting for a variant for Dangerboy. That means I now get all the good ies and I wont have to worry about buying those 'incomplete' ones or attempt to find the stickers and cards and crap.

I also snagged the variant Dreamcast Tennis Title I needed for 3 bucks new at a half priced bookstore.

What's up with the box for that Tiny toons game? I've got the same game boxed and mine doesn't look anything like that. Is it a pirate?

No, it's not a pirate. For some strange, unknown reason, the previous owner of the game found a tiny toons logo somewhere and thought it would look better than the actual insert, so it was taped to the case. :/

I replaced the case after I took that pic. :)

Not offended at all. First of all, I just think the PSOne is neat. Second of all, it was $15. Third, it gives me another playstation that I can hook up in another room if I want. Fourth, I like playing playstation games on a playstation instead of a ps2, because I like that first opening white screen with the sound that goes "BBBBWWWWEEEEEAAAAOOOOOWWWWW.....". Fourth, I just now bought a NIB PSOne screen off of someone here on DP so I can now lay in bed when sick and play FF.
