AtariAge has some wonderful help on connecting your old systems to a TV. Great advice!
http://atariage.com/howto/connect.html
That Coaxial adapter (Coaxial (F-type) to Female RCA Adapter
Radio Shack part #278-276) is a wonder! Clear screen, and no more need for a crappy switchbox for the older systems. Highly recommended.
AtariAge also offers advice on the following areas:

Here's a duesy of a first post -- some info on the RCA Studio II! X_x
http://www.old-computers.com/magazine/view.asp?r=2&a=14
The article consists of instructions and a schematic on how to scratch-build a crude version of the unique Selector Switch unit (RCA part number 18V102, according to my manual). In case you're not familiar, the Studio II uses an odd switch box that routes both the power supply and the video connection through a single line from the system. Very unorthodox, and very hard to find.
Though I understand the basic tech info, I have not the least bit of electronics-repair skill or equipment. What I'd really love is to be able to find an original Selector so I can get my very first console ( :) ) running again. Anyone have any leads?
Duncan :D
Some one scanned an Intellivision service manual and it can be found at:
http://www.geocities.com/SiliconValley/Vista/7326/srvmanul.html
There's a great section with full pics of the boards and how to take apart and repair the Intellivison controllers!
The replacement part numbers won't help much (such as if you're looking to replace the transformer) as they seem to be "internal" part numbers.

I'm so glad I found this on the web, so I don't have to type it up.
Here's Energizer's big ol' stack of battery information:
http://data.energizer.com
Included in that treasure trove are a guide to currently available batteries with all their specs, as well as massive cross-reference listings for different manufacturers. Plus, there's guides on what batteries to use when the ones you need are no longer available.
And, since there was originally a question about the Sega CD's Sanyo-brand battery that sparked this post, here's a link to Sanyo's own pile of tech data:
http://www.sanyo.com/batteries/specs.cfm (This leads to a big set of PDF files; make sure you've got Adobe Acrobat installed.)
Hopefully, these links should help out a lot of people...

From the same site- controller board resistor fix. Looks a bit trickier than the reset fix, but probably worth it to play soul calibur again :)
Looks pretty reliable, even if the username is odd (to say the least).

Here are two guides I wrote sometime back for a nice cheap and fairly easy repair for those pesky 5200 controllers.
Here is the non-flash/BW step-by-step guide

And here is a simplied version of that same guide as a Flash presentation...

Enjoy...

I found this today and thought it would really help, as it did for me.
If you're having trouble with the shoulder buttons on a DS, before you bring it in for repairs or take it apart, try blowing hardly, or using compressed air, right at the separation between the case and the button. My R button hasn't worked for months, but this fixed it in about 15 seconds.

Everything was working, then yesterday my Saturn starts "reading disc format", then goes to "start application" button. Today "reading disc format" and that's it. NO MORE GAMES?!?!?
Is there a fix for the laser or is it something else? maybe the disc isn't spinning fast enough? spin motor goig? The disc is tight on the spindle. Any insight on my problem? I'll buy another console, IF I HAVE TO, but would rather repair, IF I CAN. As it stands right now, I have nothing to lose by trying it myself.

They should be plug and play. (I can't remember but there's probably an anti-static point you have to remove though)

Nice, I need to try that. Every single one of my paddles do not work. Hell some of them don't even respond, and some of them have a rattle inside them. Looks like a fairly complicated little device compared to say, an NES pad.
