I think youve probably had this question before, but hey I'm new and I'd like to know. One time I found, and I think its pretty cool, a complete boxed Microvision plus four games, all in boxes. And it works great! Unbelievable! A couple a Sega Masters, Smurfs for 2600 to name a few. Latly I havent found nothing. Please help me keep my hopes up with thrifty and goodwill stores. Thanks!

I'v found dozens of sick C64's. dose that count :P
Well by what you described I think you mean Awsome systems :)
so...
I'v found a MIB SNES. It came in a really worn Box, you know like
a promo box that once included a game and a C.D but now only
housed the SNES and a boxed controller - for only AU$50 thats about US$25.
Did I mention it was compleate, it had all the original plastic bags and
the controller in the SNES system box still had the cable tie on it :D
I'd say that was fully sick man 8-)

I don't really know if this is classified as sick but... Today I got a Tecmo Superbowl that was completely covered with black marker (cart mostly). I got it for a buck Canadian (60 cents US). I took it home and put some spray nine on the cart and then some Goo Gone and was amazed that 99% of it came off... the only thing that is still on it was a little line on the bottom of the label... and the funny thing was it was sitting there for 2 weeks and I didn't think that I could get the marker off so I didn't buy it then... Now I am glad I did...

The sickest console I've ever seen, also the only non 2600* that I left behind: a pong clone called Granada. Small, all black, complete with RF switch and the battery cover. But when I took one look at the battery compartment, it was full of something light brown. I guess no one bothered to remove the old batteries for the last 20 years.
$19.99, not worth it for that dead battery.
*I frequently leave behind common 2600 games as they are frequently overpriced

I think there is some confusion in this thread. It all comes down to the definition of the word sick. On the west coast and Hawaii the word sick means, cool or great. So when he says whats the sickest thing youve found he means the coolest not the grossest, nastiest, moldiest funked up thing you have ever found. I hope this helps.
Although I do find the nasty posts more interesting than the "sick" posts.

I'm afraid that I've never found anything terribly nice at my local thrifts. I supposed that my best discovery would be Legendary Axe II and Ninja Spirit for the TG-16 at $2 apiece, but that's hardly worth a brag.
The nastiest thing I've ever seen in a game was a live cockroach in the connector port of a Super Mario Bros. 3 cartridge. The little bugger is probably still scurrying around outside of my parents' home, looking for other classics to infest.

Hmm..wouldn't the system have to short out and die before the snake could crawl partway through the fan? If the snake was the one who fried the system (and along with it)...I dunno. "With my last dying breath, I shall slither partway out of the computer. My death shall not be in vain! Unnngh! Unnngh!"
The only other possibility would be for the computer to have been 'off', the snake crawl up into the power supply...and later on begin to crawl back out a split second before someone turned the system on.

Yeah I purposely posted that way. I hate that retarded Sk8ToR/surfer speak.

it's a platinum.. about 6 inches wider. anyway the previous owner had removed the cover to slots 5,6,7. I guess to make ventilation for his super serial card. Poor little mouse :(
