Hey,

I've got a pirated Atari 2600 console that's having problems with the controller port. It's built and set up the exact same way as the Atari 2600 Jr. Whenever I try to use a joystick with the left controller port, the joystick will not do anything except go right. However, when I plug the same joystick into the right controller port, everything moves and works fine.

I opened it up but it didn't seem like anything was out-of-place or different compared to the good, working controller port. Does anybody have any ideas as to what could cause this, and how I could go about remedying it? Thanks in advance! :)

So, all I'd have to do would be to de-solder the old RIOT chip out, and solder a new one in? Or is it more complicated than that?

Thank you so much! :)
