Guy, you're a little scam artist, nothing else. Your reasoning doesn't make any sense, and what is worse, you underestimate the intelligence level of others. You are slick, but not very intelligent.

Everything you said has only one purpose: to keep money you don't deserve based on a little scam. If a buyer asks you about the condition of items and points out that the near mint condition is important to him, you could have written two sentences about the condition of the items instead of misrepresenting them as near mint and sending four blurry pics. Is that too much to ask BEFORE the deal was made?

You sit on the money, you did it because of the money, that is all that you're interested in regarding this deal. You're a scam artist due to greed.

I've stayed quiet so far, but I'm going to make a comment here, based on my own experience as a long time seller on EBay and Amazon.

I have to agree with the others. Just refund the money, get the games back, and sell them again. It's NOT WORTH the hassle and the blow to your name here.

I sell a lot of stuff on Amazon. Like around $100 or so a month. Every now and then I get someone who can't get the game to work when I KNOW it worked for me, or was'nt happy with the condition of the game. Do I argue with the person? No.

I either offer them a partial refund if they want to keep the item or a full refund if they return it to me. Then I sell it again after checking it, and all I lost was a little time.

It's why I have a 100 good marks and a 4.9 rating on Amazon.

I know there are two sides to every issue, but the e-mails, honestly, make you sound REALLY bad. It's just NOT WORTH IT. Refund the guy's money and sell the games again. I'm sure someone on here will buy them again right away. And learn from the lesson on how YOU can be a better seller, just like the other guy learned how he can be a better buyer.

I agree as well. Post some pictures and let's see what kind of condition the games were really in. This could help all of us when it comes to buying and selling. If this truly was a misunderstanding, then this kind of thing could have happend to any of us.

This situation has really gotten out of hand. I haven't dealed with Silver_Surfer personally, but he has some good feedback here. I still don't think we know enough about this deal to judge who is totally in the wrong. Silver_Surfer's attitude has definitely not helped this situation IMO. If some pictures were posted and some apologies given then maybe the slate could be wiped clean.

I hope this doesn't give us Canadians a bad name on this forum. :/

If you don't care how this affects what people think of you, then I think you're frequenting the wrong set of forums. We're a community here; he wasn't asking you to go out of your way to do anything but refund his money. He was even willing to pay shipping back to you. You would have lost out on nothing. First, I want to thank all you guys for the support. I think the ones of you who said that a refund should have been given in the first place are right. When I sell a lot a games or just one game, and the buyer isn't happy for any reason, I offer a refund. Depending on the reason, I have been known to eat the shipping costs. I suppose I expected the same service in return, but perhaps I was unfair in expecting this.

At this point, I'm not as upset about the refund refusal as I am about the fact that HE AGREED to the partial refund of $20.00. He refunded $4.87 and told me he would send the rest ASAP. Then, a month later he PMs me and says he changed his mind and that he is not going to pay me anymore and that I was lucky he sent anything at all (not to mention all the name-calling that followed). This is what I am mad about now. In a nutshell I was lied to again, as I believe that he NEVER intended to refund the remainder of the partial refund and only sent the $4.87 to shut me up for a few weeks and hoped that I would just forget about it. To be totally honest, it really pisses me off. I mean if you have a personal policy of not giving refunds, fine, but DO NOT agree to something and then back out a few days or weeks later with NO good reason whatsoever.

At this point I know I don't really have any recourse through Paypal since I actually did receive the package. I'll just chalk it up to a lesson learned 8-) I know more things to look for and also to ask more specific questions and ask for better pics of actual items. Also, it is a good idea to keep everything (pics and PM's) until the deal is complete and boths sides are happy. Was it an exspensive way to learn this? Yeah, of course, but at least it has made me more aware. I never intended for the situation to blow up like this, but hopefully I've helped other DPer's from getting burned. Thanks again for all the input and support.

On a brighter note I have a 6 year old little cousin (who obviously cares nothing about the condition of the cart labels) who is enjoying the Pokemon Stadium 2 and the Banjo Kazooie. So definitely not a total loss. :D

No one really jumped the bandwagon. Jdchess did not mention the name of the seller, and so everything was just based on what he said. The problem is that when it came out and he did finally reply, his reply was basically to be really pissed.

I know I took his offer, I was happy with it. I just want people to see what he got for the 70 shipped. I have not complained once about accepting the deal. I just want people to see what kind of deal he got\offers others. Lowballs.

I have not resorted to name-calling and have not threatened you. The only thing I said is that I was prepared to pursue legal action if necessary concerning the false insurance claim you ask me to file. What you forget is that PM's are saved server side until deleted. So, I have server side proof that you sent me PM's asking me to lie to the PO and file a false insurance claim.

Secondly, yes, you sent me a pic of three or four games...a very out of focus picture from which I couldn't really determine the real condition, but I trusted what you had told me. I just wanted advice on what to do. I think the right thing to do now is to just let it go, and that's what I intend to do. Did I get what I was told I would receive? No, but there are much more important things in life and I refuse to stress over something like this. Besides, I'm getting married this Saturday, so I obviously have more important things to attend to and I have more than enough stress as it is. Silver_surfer has already garnered more of my time than I ever should have allowed. Thanks again for the support and input guys. I really do appreciate it.
