I was told that the next shipment would occur around Tuesdaay of this week and i am still waiting for my confirmation E-mail. Has anyone else out there recieved a confirmation for the second shipment?
I bought mine on Saturday the 3rd and I received a PM that it would be shipped before this weekend.

CMA Death Adder, I pre-purchased mine on May 4th. I was wondering if you had any updates to the shipping schedule.
My name is Ken Bell and I think I ordered it with my wifes account (Rebecca Bell).
Any info is greatly appreciated. Thanks - Ken

I did Email them directly but the date i was given has come and gone thats why I posted here. It seems like they check this site regularly so i am sure if there is a response to give we will get it here also.

I have been shipping out orders most of this week, and will continue to do so through next week. There are many orders to ship, but I'll get through them all as quickly and efficiently as I can.
Thanks for your patience and support, everyone.

I got an email that mine was shipped on Thursday the 8th, so hopefully it will be here soon. Prolly not in time for this weekend, but at least it should arrive sometime next week.
As for the Sega CD & 32X incompatibility issue, this really should have been mentioned on the website. I may be in the minority here, but I have both systems attached to my Genesis. So it would've been nice to know ahead of time that if I want to save my game, then I'm gonna have to disconnect both systems! Luckily I have a Nomad too, so I can just play it on that and not have to go through hell disconnecting everything but the Genesis every single time I want to play this game. But for those who have the same setup as me, and don't have the luxury of having a Nomad to play it on instead, having to disconnect everything but the Genesis just for this one game is a real pain in the ass!

YAY! I just got my copy today too! It did arrive in time for the weekend after all! I'm playing it right now! WOOHOO!
My only complaint so far is I have to agree about the way the edges of the insert get messed up. Mine has one place on the front where it got torn and scuffed up already, but I guess it's not a huge deal. Still a bit disappointing though.
Other than that, I think it's well worth alot more than just $46. Everything promised is all true, the manual and cart label are very professionally done, the clamshell case and the cart itself seem very well made, and as for the insert, the cover art really doesn't look that bad to me in person.
As for the game itself, I just got my ass kicked by a flock of eagles before I even found a place where I could save! So looks like it's gonna be quite a challenge, from what I've dared to read of most of the posts regarding the actual gameplay here. I didn't want to accidentally read any of the spoilers, so I just skimmed over most of what's been said about it so far, but it definitely looks and sounds on par with any of the better Genesis RPG's from the old days.
WAY TO GO, SUPER FIGHTER TEAM! I LOVE IT ALREADY!

I am a little late to the party, but I am glad that the homebrew production of this cart was in the hundreds. I went to my friends house(Rick Weis) and looked at his cart. I thought for a homebrew, they did a pretty good job on the cart and box. Not wanting to be left out, I went home and ordered one. I cant wait to add this to my near complete Genesis Collection!

Beggar Prince will play in any Sega Genesis, Megadrive or Nomad system regardless of region. Yes, this means that all machines, be they NTSC or PAL, will play the game flawlessly!
The game cartridge will fit perfectly inside any Genesis / Megadrive / Nomad system without need for any adaptor or case modification.

Well, I should think not - after all, we're still selling the game for only $40! LOL

I just don't understand why the reserve would have been set so high. The seller would have already made $15 or so from the item.

Was anyone else disappionted with the quality of the case? I was on the brewer's side of the artwork debate but when I got my copy of BP I was a little disappointed. I don't know how much it costs to make those cases but they feel very cheap. I don't know why they didn't search out a wholesaler and buy 500 copies of a new but old stock Genesis release. Then they could've dismantled those games and taken the cases. How much could 500 brand new copies of NFL '94 or some other sports game cost anyway?
I haven't had time to actually play the game yet (I can't devote RPG type hours to VGs right now) but it sounds great and I can't wait to play.

yeah, I thought the same thing. They could have easily found the old cases. But, I think the idea was to have everything new and nothing reused, you know. The new cases are OK but they feel different. Mine bows out a bit but the game is fun and that's what matters.

Actually if you'd been reading the thread you would notice that Jibba was on the side of "poor choice in artwork". However yeah nebraska is really nitpicking here.
Incidently, I was stuck and set the game aside for awhile as help for this game is practically non-existent. Found this this last night though:

I am a little dissapointed in the case. I am not upset about the artwork but my inser is wrinkled from the assembly person shoving it into the case. It seems a little to long and that causses the insert to get wrinkled. Also the instruction manual looks a liitle used. Its got creases and stuff. I paid $40 for a new game and the physical quality of the game componets is a little lacking here.
On top of all of that my genesis is not working. anyone know where i can pick up a cheap RF swithch?

Everything is brand new, produced special for this release, including the plastic boxes.
Actually, the hardest part of the production was finding a factory to produce the clam-shell plastic boxes. I talked to about 12 factories before I located one that could do it.

I can guarantee at least mine is not an original Sega case. It looks and feels completely different. Maybe they ran out of NOS cases or something. I really want to switch it into this brand-new looking case I have right here...but...something's holding me back...

Quite a bit more than it cost to have the cases produced brand new, which would've meant a higher price tag on the game than $40.
If you dislike the quality of the game cases, I apologize. Surely, some case is better than no case, and a plastic case is MUCH better than a paper / cardboard case. I talked with over 10 factories before finding one that could actually produce new Genesis game cases. It wasn't an easy task, because no one (and I mean NO ONE) is producing these cases anymore.
Even so - had the cost been lower, I still would've opted for new cases. I don't much like the idea of tearing up existing Genesis games (unwanted/unsold or not) to complete a product for my company.

And I stand by my opinion concerning the artwork. It just seems to me that now that the artwork discussion has fizzled out, we are going to move on to the cases not being of high enough quality. Hell, I am impressed that they went out and had new cases manufactured for this. I must be confusing this project with another one, because I distinctly remember someone wanting to buy a shitload of NOS Genny games to take the cases from.
And I STILL have yet to see someone create a new case insert for the game. If I had a single iota of graphical talent, I would do it myself, but I know that we have people here who can do such things.

Got mine a few days ago and I am very impressed. Thanks for taking the time to produce a new product.
I think people need to realize that this is a very limited run and not everything can be exactly what everyone wants. I am amazed that people are complaining about the case. If you don't like the case, replace it. I would rather replace the case and save $3-5. I personally like every part of the product, but if something minor was to my dislike, I would look at the entire picture. This game was not produced by a huge company. Anyone who owns some off the EA titles knows that not all Genesis cases are the same. This case is much better than F22's case and that was made by EA. Complain about the gameplay or something that isn't so minor.
:D GREAT JOB & THANKS!!! :D

Great job? Yes. BP case better than an F-22 case? What? I know some of the EA cases were kind of rough but I've seen several perfect F-22 cases.
On another note, is it possible the person who was looking for NOS games was involved with the homebrew Frog Feast? Athough the oft maligned BP insert has been cut down by some here, it's exponentially better than the Frog Feast insert. If you want to talk about a game that looks wrong on the shelf, it's that one.

Well, it's an unfortunate fact that humanity often finds it easier to complain about something (and are more willing to do so) than praise it, even if the complaint stems from something small. For example: My statement above could easily be viewed as a complaint about why people choose to complain over giving praise - and I found it rather easy to write.
In any case, I've received some very nice, positive feedback about the game (and its gameplay, especially) via e-mail, which always means a lot to me.

Does anyone have a problem with the game freezing right in the begining?
im trying to play it on a model 2 genesis - i go through the intro - talk to the guards - talk to the girl by the fountain and then try to talk to the boy at the fountain and it freezes. I hope it was just bad luck that wont repeat tonight.
yes, things could have been diferent with the packaging. But i am actualy mostly happy with it I think it does look better in person. Try to get one and then evaluate it. My main complaint about the box, which im not going to rant about it i just want to make a sugestion for the future would be to use a beefier plastic sheet (that protects the cover art) - mine feels like it could rip with out much force OR, if it doesnt drive the cost up too much, ask for a tighter tolerance on it so there would be less slack. Other wise i like how secure the box keeps the cart and maual.
I realy hope you guys make another one.

I guess it was luck of the draw to have the game crash in the same spot through out the night. Last night - got past that part - it only crashed once leaving the first cave.
i only wish there was a tad more information in the game to let you know what to do next
--OH, QUESTION FOR THE PEOPLE PLAYING THE GAME--
do you search everthing in the game? have you found any items? - i could save alot of time by not seaching everything if i knew there is nothing to be found other than in those red boxes. Currently i search ever nook an crany and havent found diddly.

Items are gained only through opening chests (the red boxes) and from interactions with people. There are "hidden items", of course, but they are within chests that are hard to find. I can assure you that running around searching people's cabinets isn't going to reveal anything other than perhaps a layer of dust.

Nah. I couldn't write "ultra kiddy" style if I tried.
Glad you're enjoying the game, in any case. :)

Well now that I can stand to even look in this thread again...
I was playing Earth Defense last night. (One of the Realtec games released very late in the life of the Genesis) and I noticed that the original case for it is EXACTLY THE SAME as the case for Beggar Prince, except that the clear plastic on the case for Earth Defense is textured. So these cases were actually used for a few Genesis game before this one.
As for the game and the gameplay, it is well worth the $46. It doesn't look like an early release as Earth Defense does, it looks like a late release. So it's a very high quality game.

Most unlicensed games & bootlegs also use these same cases.

I got my order today, so here are my thoughts.
Firstly, I ordered two games on the 21st. Two days ago I was told they were shipped and they arrived today. Very good if you ask me. Another nice surprise was the packing. Even though I bought two games each was packaged seperately in a sturdy priority mail box with newspaper around it. They didn't try to skimp with cheap packing. Very impressive.
Now, for those of you who don't like to read opinions, stop reading now. This is called constructive criticism. It's not whining, it's supposed to be helpful. In my opinion, the artwork throughout could use some work. I'm not talking about the drawings, those are fine and fit very nicely. I'm talking about the little things. Like how there are black boxes around any and all images, and how there is no title on the end of the cart. Also how the box on the back is not centered. These are just sloppy things that could be easily fixed. I really think this should be looked into because I think that the packaging should be as good of quality as the game itself, and from what I've read, that is of the topmost. Again, this is not whining, I am trying to help and want the best for these guys. They have done a great job with this. I just want it to be the best that it can be. A few minor changes would help it a ton (see my link a page or so back).
Anyway, thanks for shipping so quickly. I just wish I was going to have time to play it sometime soon.
