i was EXTREMELY lucky to acquire this asteroids cocktail at the beginning of october:

it was a weird situation where this woman had the machine in her basement for years, but had no real attachment to it. i think someone had given it to her originally, she wasn't like a collector or gamer by any stretch of the imagination. my friend heard about it and knew i'd be interested. i was under the impression that she was actually selling it for a very cheap price but when we got there she was just happy that we were hauling it out of her basement for her. unbelievable. i've posted about it on here a couple times. basically it plays great, but the screen playing area is a little squashed. cosmetically it's really nice overall and all complete and original.
sunday i picked this guy up in southern mass:

it's missing the coin door and t molding but it plays great. needs a cleaning. i was happy to find a vertically oriented jamma cab since i already have a horizontal one. the game itslef is pretty cool too. i had never heard of it but it is a 2 player simultaneous shooter. gets really frantic, a quality i look for in shooters. the cabinet is not much to look at, no side art even, but like i said, it works. and it was under a hundred bucks so it's hard to go wrong at that price.
i REALLY need to finish the flooring in the basement now , my dining room is getting a little cramped. i have to give my wife credit though, she isn't complaining. we use the games more than we ever used the dining room anyway, haha.
