You say this like downloading roms is a mere "preference" but in reality pirating games is a purposefully deviant lifestyle choice that is an affront to all good $2000 game-buying butter fatties everwhere and should be stopped at all costs.

I agree that in some sense everyone was somehow responsible for what happened, and destroying it WAS immature.

Really, he should have known better, but maybe not. So seriously, instead of making each other look bad and throwing baby comments around, can you just get over it and look elsewhere? Damnit, the thing was probably a hoax anyway.

Dude, that 3rd urn from the right on the shelf on the left is an actual butter urn. It takes 21 pounds of fresh, wholesome cow’s milk to make each pound of butter.

Paul, if you get that cart glued back together, can you post some screenshots of the ending? I can let you borrow my Game Action Replay so you can save your progress as you go through. Hopefully the game will let you save 5 different slots (some games only let you save 1, some 3) and you can save it before some of the more memorable moments of the game.

I still want to know why the Ape went from Simian to the full-of-rage version of Danny Glover.

You say this like downloading roms is a mere "preference" but in reality pirating games is a purposefully deviant lifestyle choice that is an affront to all good $2000 game-buying butter fatties everwhere and should be stopped at all costs.

I sense sarcasm.

But...To some extent, that is true, but as a guy who's actively involved in game publishing/marketing, it's not always the worst thing when an obsolete title is 'pirated' or copied. Only a small portion of the games you will see today will ever be considered for a re-release, and that being the active franchises or popular titles, like Final Fantasy or Sonic the Hedgehog. But why haven't gems like SNATCHER even been considered for a re-release? And why haven't titles like Castlevania: Symphony of the Night been re-released considering their demand and popularity? Some companies have complicated marketing tactics or standards.

Many games like the PC98 titles and other obscure platforms or consoles are emulated without any concern for profit loss, but so are many consoles. A considerable ammount of NES publishers/developers are out of buisiness or have been bought out and so many titles have been overlooked or are no longer available (the source code could be lost or something of the like) so that hinders titles from being re-released. Although getting back of some of the titles I mentioned, some games like SNATCHER are probably overlooked because they failed the first time and lack an efficient following to allow the franchise to thrive in western markets where it's popularity is considerably less compared to it's overseas counterparts.

Let's take FARIA, for example. It's a great game, but was overlooked, yet, it has never and I doubt it will ever get a re-release, so the only option is to download.

Also, someone mentioned earlier that alot of games that are revamped sell better, and that is true, but not always. Alot of games have been re-released for GBA and nobody cared (like Aero the Acrobat, etc.)

Just to get everyone on the same page this whole thing was fake. I set out to see if I could fool people and did so well I had to make a concerted effort to drag people to the light. I thought for sure the fart so powerful it garbled graphics was going to be it but apparently some guys still believe I smashed the potentially last copy of Bio Force Ape in existence.

And this was a week after that Zelda III mess. Hopefully this will be a powerful lesson to all of you not to be so sure of yourselves in the future.

About the comment asking why I didn't scam someone for thousands of dollars, I only use my super powers for good, not evil. Okay, that's subjective. To some third world pot-bellied kid I'm probably the worst villian ever, but I'm okay with that.

Yesterday I stumbled upon this thread, and after the first page it was very clear that this is a hoax, and after two pages it was clear that it was a sarcastic parody of offered fake prototypes.

After the Zelda 3 proto scam I just can't believe how easy it is to fool people. It is a mix between being naive and wishful thinking. It is amazing that people believe what they want to believe discarding common sense and life experience.

In the meantime I think if someone goes on ebay and put in bold letters "this is a scam, I want your money and please bid on the item if you like to get scammed," some people would still actually bid on that thing a couple of hundred dollars and convince themselves that maybe this is not a scam after all.

The lies we fell for easily are the ones we tell ourselves.

Punkoffgirl, while you may not appreciate the spirit of this prank, a great many people in this thread found the antics extremely funny. I contend that no harm was done because I didn't scam anyone for their money, and my original intent wasn't to turn this into a big joke. I just wanted to see if I could pass off my skills as the real thing, and I did. Once my goal was met, the curtain came up. Along the way I had some fun because things started snowballing. If you look at the previous posts of the people who got it, you'll see quite a few L-O-Ls. You might see trolling, I see people laughing with me rather than laughing at them.

Life is too fun to take seriously, we come here to talk about video games for crying out loud.
