*appluause* :D That was great. It brought a tear to my eye...ok so it didn't but still it was great. First three things that came to my mind. 1)Holy Crap! :eek 2: I know her! 2) Now if they only did Zelda and Tetris. 3)That's three of my favorite games right there! I'm so proud. Funny thing was, I was thinking about doing something like this for a talent show at my school. Now I have a key to base it on. We'll win for sure...and if we don't...well that won't happen will it.

As a musician and gamer, video game music is of the utmost importance to me (I've learned a decent handful of Mario and Zelda songs on the keyboard) I've incorporated video games into two of my class projects at Berklee College of Music - one was a transcription project and I transcriped the title screen theme of the NES Legend of Zelda and played it on the piano, and the other was a swing arrrangement of the GameBoy Tetris Music A for a violin improvisation lab.

Many of my Berklee classmates and I think there should be a Video Game Music ensemble at Berklee (we have Music of Jimi Hendrix and Music of Bob Marley ensembles, so why not? It's a contemporary music school, and video game music is contemporary!!)

My boyfriend shares the same love of music and video games and the last time he and his brother's band performed he opened their set by coming out and playing the Mario theme solo on the guitar. The audience frickin' LOOOOOVED it! And the next show they do they're going to do another theme. They're contemplating Metroid, Mega Man or Castlevania music. I keep saying they should do the Temple music from Zelda II.
