Dammit! I spent 5 hours playing M.C. Kids for the NES. I was determined to beat the game and I defeat the final boss and the damn game feezes on me!! Boy, was I pissed off. 5 hours of my life wasted and I'm not getting them back! Tell your stories of stuff like this happening such as getting so far and than not saving and having the dog hit reset or something of the sort. Did I mention I'm pissed off?

You should go back to your PSX then :/ . That happened to me on Blaster Master, I played that damn game all day and the NES locked up on me on the last level. I have yet to turn that game back on and this happened to me 10 years ago.

I had a similar experience playing Wild Gunman on the NES. I was on the 49th round (very far) when my NES resets. Yes at that very moment, it decided to blink on and off. I was incredably mad at that moment. So much so that I haven't play Wild Gunman since!

Once, I had made it to World 8 in Super Mario 3 (no sissy warp zones for me!) and was about halfway through when my sister and my cousin decided it was time to toss around a foam nerf ball. My sister threw too wide and amazingly enough, it hit right square on the reset button. Fortunately, I'd beaten the game so many times before, I didn't mind that much.
I think we all laughed about that for a good half hour. LOL

Can't say there were too many times where the game froze or magically reset without me mystically doing it from being pissed at some point where I just keep dying regardless of how hard I think about getting around that obstical.... But anyways, if you count losing data on memory cards that you spent MANY hours on a game and magically when you decide to plug that card back in and start playing, you have to start ALL over, then ya.

Not games freezing but rather power going out. If too many things are on in the kitchen+a heater or something, half the power in the house goes out.
It's happend multipile times; like when I'm playing rpgs in the middle of boss fights and such.

I've sold games because of a dead memory card. My logic was that a) the game is still worth something since it's relatively new, and b) I'm never going to want to put in another 20 hours recovering old ground. Unfortunately, that game was Final Fantasy Anthology, and I'm kind of hacked off at myself for doing that. At least the game is in good hands with my best friend, so I could play it if I wanted to.
