I came across another 720°...
I caught the ad about two weeks late and never
thought I would get a chance to pick it up.

The seller said he got several calls from dealers,
but really didn't want to sell it to any of them.
He seemed to be holding out for a "good home"

He owned the game for about 10 years and is moving,
so it had to go. I really don't think he wanted to let it go.

It was in his garage and the temp was about 8°F,
so I couldn't test it out, but he assured me it was working.
He even said I could take it home to test it and pay later.
I trusted him, paid cash and we loaded it up.

The keys for the locks were lost... So basically, I bought a game
said to be working and couldn't even look inside.

Back at home:
It took me about 10 seconds to pry open the coin door with a screwdriver.
In there I found two keys that opened the lower coin bucket.
Then I discovered the back door lock was disabled and it was just
held on by two screws.

The rumors are true... Atari cabs are HEAVY.
In the garage, I removed the monitor and most parts/panels.
I was able to "moose the pig" up two stairs and down seven by myself
with the help of an appliance mover w/ strap.

The next day I reinstalled the monitor and most parts
then fired it up. It Works! and there it sits (see pic below)
Still not fully assembled.

New one is on the Right and the one on the left is on extended loan/storage.

Left row: Xenon pinball, 720°, Taito Mame, Defender project, Centipede project.
Right Row:720°, Space Invaders Deluxe project.

The 720's need to be pushed back, so it looks a little cramped.
(I had to pull out the old 720° to reference a monitor connection)
(non keyed and more pins than recepticles..not good)

Pretty lucky score. I've been looking for a 720 for quite some time. Kind of fitting, seeing as half my arcade games are inside my friend's skatepark.

Not bad man! Not too long ago I bid $500 for one that was 1,000 miles away, but got outbid. 720's one of my top 3 games of all time on my "must own someday" list.
