I'd rather have the nice packaging, manuals and all for all the games in my collection but hell! a PC Engine Flash cart that allows you to play all backups (ok let's be fair - roms) on your system without any region restriction sounds like a cool device:

So cool indeed that I decided to carry it in my store :p
I am also trying to get info and a unit to try with the Laseractive as it has not been done yet. Also the Neo Team is apparently making a casing for it so that it looks more like a regular Hu-card.

It's amazing that someone is releasing such a thing today... maybe it is going to push the NEC market up and increase prices for systems and maybe some games, what do you guys think?

I am also intrigued by one quote on the forum where one person from the Neo Team mentions that a Neo Geo Flashcart is only a question of time... can you imagine that a Neo Geo Flash cart!!!

I remember reading about a PC Engine flash card awhile back from Tototek back a year or so ago. The only thing was, there was lots of issues with it, and it was a very complicated process in terms of getting roms on it, and all kinds of stuff. I was really interested in it for awhile, but then it seemed as though it was just too much drama to use the thing.

if this one is actually easy to use, then definitely it's something I would consider. There are so many Japanese Hu cards that I would love to check out in true RGB, but I don't want to try to track the game down like an international detective. So being able to just dump some roms on there and check them out, that would be pretty damn sweet.

If you are going to carry these at your store, then please let me know how they work out. I definitely would be interested to hear more about it. I'm guessing that you could also use this to simulate a system 3.0 card or a Arcade Card Pro. I'm also guessing that you can play Japanese roms on a American turbo with this? Without needed a region mod or a converter?

Hmmm...... $160 would buy a nice stack of Hucards. Interesting, but will wait to see if it's any better than the old PCE Flash64M.

!!! @_@

Many have argued this is as difficult as a universal NES flash cart. If this happens, I'll shit myself.

But anyway, this same company that makes this new PCE flash cart is also making some other goods, like a Genesis/sms cart WITH FM sound support, and a competitor to the NeoGeo MVS to AES Phantom converter. Anyway, I've been dying to get reviews on this company's new stuff, so I can't wait to hear more about them.

What kind of ticks me off about the converter is that it is WAY cheper to produce than the Phantom, since a Neo cart doesn't have to be salvaged to make one, yet it amazingly costs more than the very expensive Phantom-1.

I too wanted to get Tototek's flash carts, but parallel technology is so picky. I guess they truly aren't that hard to use at all, but those who do complain about them are probably far, far rarer than the people who have no issues at all. Those that do have problems almost always have the exact same easily fixable issues.

But either way, it's great to finally see USB flash carts.

Yeah, considering the PCE cart is going for $160, even if someone was to get a NeoGeo flash cart going, I hesitate to think how much that's going to cost. Wow.

I think this is really cool though. And if anyone wants to send me a card and a TG-16 or PCE unit for my Laseractive, I'd be more than happy to help beta test. :D
