Whats the name of this game?

There is this game I have been thinking about I uset to play in the arcade about 15 years ago. It plays like gurella war but you can get into tanks and helicopters. The screen scrolls up and down and you ahve a machine gun and grenades. If anyone knows the game im talking about please let me know what the name is.

Caliber 50, by Seta (1989)? I haven't played that far into it, but the hero gets into a plane and flies about randomly for a while in the first level. Interesting powerup scheme; you run over ammo dropped by fallen enemies and that builds up into a sort of fast tracer-firing machine gun, and then into a flamethrower (not sure what else).

I know what one he's talking about, cool little game, damn name slips my name though, the tanks are small, and your character sticks out of the top, overhead view, going north scrolling.

Sounds like Ikari Warriors to me. I used to love the arcade version. Controls always sucked in the console versions, IMO.

Could you turn turn the joystick knob in order to aim your weapon? Ikari Warriors!!

No its definatly not ikiri warriors. nik is right. when you get into the tank you can still see you head.I need to know the name of that game.Come on nik help me find it out. So far you are the only one who knows the game. :)

According to the pics on Klove (http://www.klov.com/game_detail.php?letter=G&game_id=8023) you can get into tanks on Guerilla Wars too, plus your head sticks out like you describe. Is it definitely not that?

Not gurella war> you also get into helicopters and the game becomes like a shoot em up. Man why is it so hard to find this game :(

It sounds like it could be Iron Tank but I don't think it had an arcade release. Possibly the arcade release of Jackal (http://www.klov.com/game_detail.php?letter=&game_id=8218)?
