View Full Version : Digital Press Videogames LLC: First Employee

Yeah, I haven't been around that much lately, and yeah, I probably never even mentioned that Digital Press is now a bonafide corporation - after all these years of being merely a tremendous organization of gaming fans. Well, this is certainly a groundbreaking event in our long history: the very first "real" employee since we became a "real" company.
Those of you who have been with us for awhile and have seen the positive influence of females in this organization won't be at all suprised to hear that our first employee is in fact a female. Her name is Jenn and her first day is tomorrow. Jenn has already spent a pretty good amount of time in the Clifton, NJ store learning the day-to-day stuff and was hired because she has shown such great initiative, spirit, and enthusiasm for gaming.
Her primary role at the store will be to get the store ready for the NEXT day. Organizing, packaging, prioritizing... that kind of thing. I have no doubt that she has the potential to become a key member in the DP family as well as the business.
Jenn is also known as "*Rin*" on these forums. Please join me in welcoming her to our team both on and offline!

I wish Jenn/Rin the best of success in her new career endeavors :rocker: . I'm certain Joe picked the right person for the job. He's rationally self-interested in that way. ;)

And, can play a good game of Guitar Hero!

Hey Jenn/Rin! If I was you, I'd sit on the internet all day messing around these forums, then telling Joe that you are working on some hardcore "research" so that you are better prepared to answer the grinding questions from your customers.
Say it's a "business technique used by all major competitors".

Cool, it's always good to have some similarly aged gamers on the boards. Even better the first employee of the grand ol' DP store. Welcome and all that fun stuff.

First, congrats to Joe on both the store and the LLC. Big changes, though this site doesn't appear to have blinked.
Second, congrats to Jenn on her new employment - I suspect she'll have a good time at "work". (If mastering Guitar Hero counts as work, of course.)
Third, good to see everyone here again!

ITG's all over the place here. LOL Ahh, how I miss the days of DDR tournaments in Sunnyvale. :( ITG isn't that popular however, after all these years large scale networked Daytona USA machines still turn the highest profits. Nothing better than a bunch of businessmen losing small chunks of Jr's college fund to me on their lunch hour at the Milpitas Dave & Busters. LOL
Seriously though, welcome to the DP community.

I'll be easy on you because I've known for quite some time you're rather light in the brains department, but I DID state right off the bat that DP has a history with the female persuasion in the mix. You probably missed that part though I don't recall using any big words.
I'll try to summarize: girl gamers are the best. The ladies who run this forum should speak volumes toward that.

It might have been the first few drug addicts we ran into, or narrowly avoiding certain doom, or the traffic, or the heat, or the traffic, or spending a few days in Oakland, or the bloated prices of everything, but it was probably the traffic.
