How many Super Mario Bros. 1, 2, and 3's are there?
I'd like to have a copy of all three for the same reason that RedEye would like his games: Nostalga.

I would love to get one of each of those as well, for the same reason.

Finally I've got them!

I'm cataloguing the games as we speak, and there too many to count, (I figure around 800 :) )

Thank you R.S. for helping me with this and for taking these pictures.

And thank YOU DP members for watching ;)

Assuming you haven't already, you should unstack those games that way.

Some very nice stuff in there from what I can see. You should do well selling extras on the aftermarket!

As for Power Strike, that might be one of the more expensive games you got out of the deal. Montezuma's Revenge is no slouch either in the rarity department, but unsealed it doesn't go for a ton on eBay.

I suspect around $100 - $150 for Power Strike, $75 or so for Montezuma's Revenge.

Looking at the other pics, for the ones I can make out, Metal Gear is money, and that Kung-Fu (if its American) will go for a handful too. Dodge Ball, Zelda II, and that other black box game (Ice Climbers? I can't tell) should get serious cash as well.

Bad News Baseball, Millipede, Nightmare on Elm Street, and Goonies II, may fetch a solid amount.

I don't want to speculate what that sealed Thunderforce II would go for as I'm not up on my Genesis stuff, but it's pretty nice none the less.

Get them better organized and, again, don't super stack them like that. That black box NES game I can't make out is being crushed as it is. Again, it's a treat to see all those sealed NES games together. Good luck with your pending sales, you should be pretty happy depending on how much you paid.

OH MY GOD

What a great pickup!

Congratulations! If you don't mind me asking, what was the final total? :)

If you have any Zelda, Dragon Warrior 1 or Metal Gear for sale let me know, I really need one to complete my collection. :) :)

I've got to catalogue everything before I think about selling/trading/whatever, but I'll answer any other questions, if I can.

Ohhhh my god... That is a HUGE haul. It's amazing what you got there in the bundle. Like I said earlier in the thread, I was expecting a ton of sports titles and duplicates. Well, the duplicate part is up to par but the sports titles are amazingly low. I'm very impressed because there's some great games in there and they're all boxed!

Congrats!

jajaja
04-12-2006, 06:54 PM
Ah.. nice to see some pics :) Are there any rare/valuable games in there? I cant really spot any on the pics, altho i didnt study them very well.
I still wonder how much u payed for them, but reading the other posts i see you dont want to tell so i repsect that.
Anyway, great pickup enjoy the games! :)

Holy shit!!!!!!! @_@

Many copies of Hellfire for the Genesis (which is nice). I saw a copy of Thunder Force III and Herzog Zwei. I also see Road Blasters in the pack. I would like to buy some games off of you, but sealed games cost a lot of money and I don't have a lot of money. :(

Vectorman0
04-12-2006, 07:34 PM
Omg, reseals!

Sorry, I couldn't resist and just had to say it.

Anyway, that's a nice haul. Not something you see everyday. I'd suggest you get an ebay store once you are all settled in and you know what you have. It's only $.02 regardless of what price/quantity you have per thirty days. Not bad if you plan to sit on them for a while.

If or when the time comes, I'm interested in both the Metal Gear and Snake's Revenge. I'll trade well, or pay if I have cash available. :-P

Um, what's an EG Assasin Case?

(Shit, when I was 8 and saw my first NES game, Punchout, at the neighbors house, I wanted an NES so bad, but they were so expensive! That 8 year old boy could never really have imagined that he would ever own so many brand-new NES games! BTW This is a huge undertaking in organization ;) )

04-13-2006, 02:54 AM
Nice score. The ROBs def caught my attention also.

I also agree about the stacking. You need to arrange the pile into a book shelf or something where you won't have any one box applying weight onto another.

Kind of cool how some of those Monopolys are still sitting inside of their original shipping box.

A part of me is in envy of both your ability to make such a large purchase and having the luck of actualy finding such.

As such, I'd like to offer you my congratulations instead for such an incredable once in a life time find. Given the chance, I'd gladly do the same.

I dont know when or if you will ever be posting any of those titles here on DP, but somehow I doubt I could afford even the most cheap as I am not interested in them for their sealed condition, but because they may be a game I do not already have.

Well, good luck in getting your money back on that investment. Remember to keep a few of those titles for your own personal collection though.

Do you have any idea how long I've stared at those things, dreaming of owning one, and never, EVER finding one, let alone a SEALED brand spanking new one???? I've never played Gyromite cos I heard you needed ROB to play it, and let's face it, ROB just looks pretty fuckin' cool - He's the ultimate in Retro Chic.

Oh yeah...now, but for "back then" prices, not so great. Hey had it been priced for $10, you may have never seen one.

In my opinion, I would try to get $200 - $225 for it at first. If it doesn't sell you shouldn't have to much trouble selling it for $125 - 150. The problem is that it seems like SMS collectors (like myself) don't care too awful much about the factory seals.

Nintendo collectors are a completely different breed! LOL

You're entirely right on the NES collectors putting greater emphasis on sealed than most other collectors of other systems.
Most sealed N64 games, **shudder**, it's like they are worth LESS than their loose equivalent sometimes. And before anybody pipes up about Ogre Battle 64, I know, I know :)
