Project Rub (NDS) - new, $30.00AU
I returned this to K-Mart and then went and bought the $10.00AU copy Toys 'R Us were selling today. :-D
Also:
Sonic R (PC) - complete, $15.00AU
This is the original big box release from 1997, not the slim-case re-release from last year.
Plus it was technically free with the trade value I got
Smart shopping and congrats on the original Sonic R.

I got a complete Star Wars the Empire Strikes Back for the Intellivision. Something you don't everyday, eh?
I also found a weird licensed Pog board game freturing Donkey Kong Country characters. I couldn't even find one of these on eBay so I don't even know what it's worth (if it's actually worth anything).

Time to post my mass of purchases from the last 2 weeks.
March 31st
It's a beautiful afternoon on the last day of March. I was depositing my tax return checks at the bank (woo hoo!) and on the way back, I stopped at a small game store that generally overprices stuff. Some new Genesis stock caught my eye. Mostly junk, but I did spot a boxed Landstalker for $8.99 and picked it up without hesitation.
April 2nd
Sunday saw me taking a trip to the flea market. I missed a cheap SNES with 5 games thanks to the vendor being M.I.A. I browse around and come back 5 minutes later, only to see that the vendor is back and a guy walking off with the bundle . Anyway, I managed to pick up at a different vendor:
Golden Axe II (Genesis, complete): $2
Bomberman (NES): $1
Fighter's History (SNES): $4
Power Instinct (SNES): $4
Feeling that I didn't pick enough stuff up, I then headed to the mall right down the street to visit a game store that's part of a local chain. MASSIVE GENESIS RESTOCK! They got a lot of new stuff in. I only picked up 7 titles though as I already had a lot of stuff that they got in. They had a 3 for $10 deal going on all Genesis games marked $3.99 so I picked up:
Mazin Saga (Genesis, complete)
Shadow Blasters (Genesis, complete)
The Great Circus Mystery (Genesis, complete)
Whip Rush (Genesis, complete)
Arrow Flash (Genesis, boxed)
Junction (Genesis, boxed)
Alex Kidd in the Enchanted Castle (Genesis, complete): $8.99
Alex Kidd was an exception to the sale due to the higher price. Still, at $9 complete for the Kidd, I can't complain, especially since he helped me reach & pass my 100th Genesis game in my collection.
April 8th
Stopped at a Game Stop store to check out the B2G1F deal. I picked up:
StarFox 64 (N64): $4.99
Ridge Racer 64 (N64): FREE (was $9.99)
Chrono Cross (PS1, complete): $17.99
Star Ocean: The Second Story (PS1, complete): $23.99
Official non-dualshock SONY controller: FREE (was $2.99, big whoop...)
Official SONY brand memory card: $2.99
I kind of screwed myself on the deals... oh well.
April 9th
Time for another Sunday trip to the flea market. The day of vengence! I found another cheap SNES and didn't hesitate to snatch it up this time (I wanted a spare). $15 got me the system (no yellowing on either shell, but the controller ports are of the cheaper plastic and oxodizing), the cord hookups, along with two unidentified cords (they look non-gaming related), a Genesis Model 2 AV chord, and a Genesis Model 2 AC adaptor that's unfortunately useless (the metal prong that connects to the back of the system is gone).
A different vendor had some new game stock. I picked a few things up:
Day Dreamin Davey (NES, what a shitty game): $2
Renegade (NES): $2
Journey to Silius (NES): $2
And the last vendor I bought from had... Master System Games! I was all over these :D. I picked up:
Aztec Adventure (SMS, complete): $3
Penguin Land (SMS, complete): $3
Rambo: First Blood Part II (SMS, complete): $3
OutRun (SMS, complete): $3
HangOn/Astro Warrior (SMS, boxed): $3
Now if only I had a SMS...
Anyway, he are some pictures of my purchases:

Came in the mail:
Mega Bomberman Genesis loose
RF Stwich for Genesis Model 1
Both for $14 with shipping. Later that day I sold my backup Genesis Model 1 with the RF stwich, AC Plug, controller, and Sonic 1 and 2 both boxed to a friend of mine for $14. I need to get Sonic 1 and 2 again (both should be $1 a peice). Now I need one more controller and a multi-tap for 4 player Bomberman action. ;)

I found Rez at my local gamestop yesterday in perfect condition for $40, on a whim I asked my friend who works there If they had it. (They had Guitaroo-Man, so I figured it was the day of the impossible)
Much to my surprise they had it, might be one of those "phantom reprints" so to speak, but I dont mind Im just glad to have it!

I found a few boxed, complete SNES games at my favorite thrift store!
SoulBlazer
Star Wars the Empire Strikes Back
NHL 94
Tecmo Super Baseball
$28 for the lot!
As I put the games under my arm and contenued searching through the loose stuff, I guy walked over next to me and looked at my load.
My mom was next to me and said he then stormed out and ranted out in front of the store to his wife, while his little daughter skipped in a circle around him! LOL
I would have been mad too! ;)

They were both reprinted late last year, early this year. I'm not seeing Rez's in every store, but damned if i'm not seeing a Guitaroo Man in every store.

Woohoo! I'm finally making my magical game top hat work for me! You see, I put the names of many games that I want to find in a top hat, and pull them out to determine which one to go for next. It gives me focus. Otherwise, I'd just keep putting off looking for the more hard-to-find stuff to buy a bunch of common junk, like I have been. But now I'm buckling down.
Just the other day I finally picked up a complete copy of Phantasy Star IV, and just now I scored the one NES game that's been dancing just out of my reach for a good few years now, Mega Man 5!
Thank you, hat!

my parents came to visit me this week and they brought me quite a treat:
all the nes games my mom found and brought with her:
http://www.green-ranger.com/nes/finds/fantastic.jpg
she also bought me fantastic 4 and friends season finale disk AND she gave me 100$ to spend on whatever I wanted.
we went to the fashion show mall (down at the strip which i rarely go) and I dug through the game case and was shocked to find a "not for resale" zelda 4 swords, and it turns out its the harder to find version with the built in saves! it was priced at 17.99 and the store dork wanted me to take another one with a better label, but I demanded the nfr version, when he rung it up it came out to 7.99!, also they have a new river city ransom for gba for only 15, I snatched that up and grabbed dadaoum opus (i know i spelled that wrong)
a really nice few days for me, the zelda label is ripped up a bit from the recent price tag changes from ebgames to gamestop, but still..definatly a game I will get dumped (no gay intro shit either)
yay for parental visits :-)

Went to EBgames yesterday and spotted a hell of a deal.
Used, but complete and in great condition!
--Tales of Destiny (PSX) for $29.99!--
Not too bad for a game that normally goes for around $50-$60 and more sometimes.
Even better deal, seeing as I have been looking for a good deal on this game for years now (ever since I bought Tales of Destiny 2). Right after I bought the 2nd one, I saw the first one in Gamestop all the time for around $40-$50. But, I never purchased it, by the time I had the extra money to go get it I couldn't find it anymore, other than online for $60-70.

Small Flea Market I hit..
Box of Lionel Track $8.00 about 25 pcs of loose track.
I want to get my Coca Cola Train going.
Gameboy Advance-Clear Model...$1.00 working,no scratches on screen.
I saw it in a big box, passed it up..came back and asked how much just for the heck of it..I was shocked when she said $1.00
$1.00 item table..Make a Pile for a Total..
Everything else besides the above listed I got for $10.00 total.
Searched around the whole market for a SMB cart, then looked inside the NES deck when I got home and there was one in it....Sweeet!!!

This came from the 'Bay but any Densha de Go! find in the US is a good find indeed - also got it WAY cheap...
Saturn - Densha de Go! EX and Densha de Go! controller (both complete - controller box not pictured)
http://www.startoursinfo.com/junk/DP-findsDensha01.jpg
Now I have the three harder to find Saturn controllers - TwinStick, Sankyo Pachinko FF, and Takara Densha de Go! :)
Somewhat gaming related - I also finally picked up a high stool because standing in front of the pachinko machine was getting old. LOL
http://www.startoursinfo.com/junk/DP-findsPachiStool01.jpg
I dunno if anyone's said it yet, but please can we try to keep the horizontal (left to right) image sizes in the finds thread to a reasonable amount? Wide pictures such as Blitzwing256's (just the closest example) throw the entire thread off and make it difficult to read, which discourages viewers from looking through it. Thanks. :)

LOL I've been looking for one for a LONG time, either for the Saturn or Dreamcast. While the Saturn "Densha de Go! EX" game doesn't look anywhere near as nice as the Dreamcast "Densha de Go! 2" I like it better since it's more arcade like, although I think they're both ports of their respective arcade games. However the Saturn game tells you to press start (and shows the arcade graphic of the start button next to the coin slot) and reset the control levers to Gear Off and Brake Lock, etc. :) Again, the graphics are Saturn 3D flickery but the Dreamcast game is too, just more detailed graphic errors. LOL I don't own the DC version, just played it before, but I have Densha de Go! 2 for the NeoGeo Pocket Color and it's pretty impressive for a portable.
The only thing that's annoying about Densha de Go! EX is that it ALWAYS resets the Saturn menu system text to Japanese. Not a problem if you're in Japan of course, but a small bother for using a US/JPN switch modded Saturn. There's also no autosave / autoload option so you have to run through the options menu to load at the start of every session and manually save the same way at the end of each. Also the train controller does odd stuff if it's plugged in at system startup - instead of booting the splash screen will start to load, then jump to the Saturn logo (like when you power on with the lid open), then go to the System Menu like the backup battery went dead. I guess it has something to do with how the controller interfaces with the Saturn. So I just let the game boot (boots as normal) and then plug the controller in when the controller selection screen comes up (standard pad or train controller). Works fine after that. :) Probably says something about it on the operations sheet but I can't read much Japanese.

I went to the thrift shop again before work the other day and picked up a few ho-hum things total 18$
http://www.green-ranger.com/nes/finds/simcity.jpg
sim city was the real gem as like the copy of simlife i grabbed last week its totally complete. the genesis didn't have a price on it but had a price on the controller so she just gave it to me for 5$, and I thought the silvery controler was an xbawks controler so I snatched it up..turns out its a pc one..but looks to be a decent one so it'll make a good back up (yay!)
I went to work and as I was stuffing my bag full of goodness into my very small locker the maitenence man came up to me and said he had a box of stuff for me...
he gave it to me later in the day and I was quite pleas4ed with what I got:
http://www.green-ranger.com/nes/finds/freeatari.jpg
what makes it great, is I was about to post that I needed an atari jr to hook up (having problems with the old woodgrains on my tv) and one falls in my lap, as well as one of my favorate atari games (ms p.) thats in better shape then the one i had before with manual yay.
turns out the wireless controller thing (that i've never even heard of) is an R5 neat i guess, and a pile of manauls I needed and I don't think i have the eggomania game.
as well as a bunch of boxed ti games:
http://www.green-ranger.com/nes/finds/tistuff.jpg
all complete except a-mazing has no manual.
the story time one comes with a pirate tape (not sure if that was a pack in or not)
I really don't know too much about the system, but i'm happy to have the start of a little collection going.
the same guy had given me a ti system a few weeks previous as well as the cart for connect 4
note all this was for free because i once mentioned I collected vintage stuff, what makes it so great is he says he has a ton more of it in his house he wants to get rid of for free :-))
overall a very good day for me.

jeffg - great finds, especially that cheap Marvel vs. Capcom 2.
Nothing special:
Final Fantasy Mystic Quest (cart, box, manual, map): $8
probably not a deal, but ebay is a piss-poor indicator of the going value of this game.

today's very nice 2600 find, thanks to goodwill.
all complete:
frogs and flies-shrinkwrapped, opened at bottom
space attack-shrinkwrapped, opened at top
astroblast-shrinkwrapped, opened at top
lock 'n' chase
threshold
spike's peak/ghost manor-the shrinkwrap is open at the bottom, but the box itself doesn't look like it's been opened.
$1.99 each
boxed video touch pad (did this release come with instructions or a star raiders overlay?)-$2.99.
most of the games have little slips of paper tucked inside with scores and notes written on them-apparently, lock 'n' chase works best with the wico controller. :) oddly, the frogs and flies manual is folded in a very different way than usual, but there are no creases to suggest that it was ever folded the standard M network way...

It's been a somewhat fruitful month so far... here's what I've picked up thus far in April...
http://i20.photobucket.com/albums/b235/joshnickerson/wke0415.jpg
Super Mario Advance (NEW) - $17
Super Mario Advance 3 (NEW) - $17
Pac-Pix (complete) - $17
Gex 64 (sealed) - $5
Star Wars: Battle for Naboo (sealed) - $5
Picked up the Mario Advance games from Target's sale. Remarkably, those are the two SMA games I passed the first time around. A vendor at the dirt mall had several N64 and SNES games still sealed, though the boxes themselves were in questionable condition.
http://i20.photobucket.com/albums/b235/joshnickerson/wke0415b.jpg
Pac-Man 2 - $5
Rayman DS (NEW) - $10
Pac-Man 2 is a freaky, but fun little title. I picked up Rayman on a whim at Blockbuster
http://i20.photobucket.com/albums/b235/joshnickerson/wke0415c.jpg
Gamecube Memory Card 251 (new) - $10
Gemfire (sealed) - $5
Sonic Blastman 2 (sealed) - $5
Short Order/Eggsplode - $4
Afterburner - $4
Codename Viper - $4
Assorted Pokemon cards - $6
Gamecube Kiosk Disc #13 (not pictured, disc only) - $6
I picked up the sealed SNES games from the same vendor I got the sealed N64 games from. Sadly, I might have to ditch the boxes, since the plastic had holes around the corner and it appears that some moisture has gotten through and there seems to be mold forming on the boxes. Also a set of three Pokemon cards, the most important being a holo Blastoise which finally finishes the Basic set for me. :)

I had a gloomy day at work, so I thought i'd check out a thrift shop and cheer myself up:
http://www.green-ranger.com/nes/finds/outworld.jpg
the snes was way overpriced but I bought it anyways (15$) I figured ti wasn't yellowed so it might be worth it.
the advantage is my favorate controler of all time so I always buy them when i see em (i think i have like 10 of em by now)
fantastic 4 plug and play was 4$, already have it..but I llike the game enough to have a spare
poochena and the gameshark book were both 50 cents each.
I found it amusing someone started an out of this world thread the other day, and I find the pc game today (never knew there was a pc game till before the thread) so I snatched it up, overpriced at 8$ but hey I was depressed and I shop when depresed ;-)
overall a decent haul.
the ds game I got in the mail ,the game is great..but I think i was happier with the freebie megaman sticker they sent me (could give a fuck about the other sticker)

Really, I got something like that for Christmas one year and it didn't work at all! Thus, why I was wondering how yours worked. Guess they are all made pretty crappy LOL . Thanks for answering my question.

I'd love to have a full size or mid size crane someday..a friend of mine in Cali has a full size crane in his collection..

Electric HONDA Pocket Bike
I've heard the electric Honda pocket bikes are junk, battery and motor problems within the first couple WEEKS of usage. The Razor PR200's seem to be the nicest of the electric models, they were bombing them out at Wal-Mart for $88 last March (2005) - found a stray pallet of them or something. Anyway, for that price I grabbed one (my uncle did as well) and I lucked out on getting the older revision without the "hold down" safety switch on the right grip, faster too. It's been hauling my fatass around problem free since. LOL
Thanks man....I'll stay away for the Hondas. :)
I'm pretty sure this is the same bike I saw at the Flea market being sold on Ebay located in Jersey too..
http://i5.ebayimg.com/05/i/06/ce/84/02_2.JPG
Wow!! $88.00 for the Razor, damn that was a Steal..Good Score,Man I wish I could finf=d that deal hear..The cheapest I've seen them down to is #149.00...I was hoping to snag the Honda that day for like $50.00 and either let my Son learn on it or modify it...the vendor just has allways been a dick no matter what $$ is offered..
They have a 700 Watt midi sized electric pocket bike.. a friend of mine has two of in Cali that have been pretty good so far for him.
http://www.neoscooters.com/prodimages/e-pocket-blue-left-lg.jpg
I want to buy an electric like the above for myself like my friends to(modify) mess around with out back ,and to use at the track as a Pitbike..

:D
Everytime I go to Wal-Mart I check out the Razor.(said to wife=Can I fit it in the car :D ).It's the exact same size of my Blata 2.5 Pocketbike..The Fairings look like they are interchangeable...The Blata 2.5 will be my Son's starter bike when he starts to race.
But I want to get him on electric Razor (add training wheels )first..I took him out on his little Indian electric Motorcycle today and it sucks 3--5 mph. ..He needs a bigger electric bike now...One of these days I'll buy a Razor.. ;)
Did you ever see the Razor Yellow Verson?..I like it....If I could get a Razor used with no faring I'd just put a set of Blata 2.5 Pocket Bike Farings.
Every damn time I go tooling around on a 49cc gasoline pocketbike I get approached with the threat of citation and they've been recently declared totally illegal (noise issues, we got screwed here in CA - lost the karting circuit years ago for the same reason). That and I'm not insured anymore so my girlfriend didn't want me screwing around on them anymore. LOL The electric one is a decent medium for the time being. LOL
I think they still have plenty of Cali Pocket Bike events in Cali that you may be able to attend..Practice-Ride.
Check this Site..Lots of members there from Cali who race and may know of location to ride.

Man Videogamerdaryll you always hit the jackpot.
Thanks.. :)
You see 99% of the stuff I buy at the flea I resell now..I'm just finding "My Wanted finds"anymore of stuff that I'll add to my collection...In this regard the Flea market has Sucked. :/ ..Too many scavenger vendors buying up and re-marking it up sky high..Too many "I can get this much $$ on ebay vendors" and otherwise just straight up junk.
If I didn't buy and sell NES systems I'd hardly buy anything there anymore.
I just can't find that "find" that I hope for each week to find anymore, not even a semi rare or unique item.
Today a lady vendor who I know saw me and said..Hey,"Look at what I got for you"..
I got all excited as she sold me a boxed VB in excellent condition complete for $5.00 once..
She pulls out this good sized box and I see Odyssey written on it,opens it up and it has two trashed loose Genny systems in it... x_x ...:shameful: :beaten: =the way I felt
Man Videogamerdaryll you always hit the jackpot.
Yeah, any chance you'd like to sell some of those loose NES decks? :wink 2:
Actually I would..but not the NES decks I don't keep in stock for selling..6-7 decks.
I have around 15-20 or so loose NES decks that have misc problems..Need new 72 pins, extensive cleaning or yellowing, cracked, missing doors or just too crappy for me to sell in my Ebay auctions etc..
I'm at a loss with all those piled up decks..With time I mix and match better parts within them to make nice decks but It's timely.
If I could get rid of all those decks for $150.00 or like $10.00 a piece they'd be out the door..

Did you ever see the Razor Yellow Verson?..I like it....If I could get a Razor used with no faring I'd just put a set of Blata 2.5 Pocket Bike Farings.
According to all the catalogs and literature shoved in the box with the Razor bikes there were supposed to be a number of different colored farings released with later models (blue, grey, black, etc.) of the bikes but all I've seen myself are the standard red ones. Dunno if they're marked to be totally discontinued or what. Someone that weighs under 80-100 pounds (like one of my younger siblings) will zip on the Razor, like in the 20 MPH range at full tilt on level ground. On a downward slope even more, I kept telling her to back off some since it's not supposed to go that fast. ROFL
I think they still have plenty of Cali Pocket Bike events in Cali that you may be able to attend..Practice-Ride.
Thanks for the link! I'll probably get into gasoline pocketbikes once I quit procrastinating and get insured again. I also have the bug to look around for an F500 owner needing an alternate driver, thankfully the ball is finally rolling to get the restrictions for fuel changed. It's stupid to pay $8+ a gallon for 100+ octane race fuel when F500 cars were designed to run on normal 89 octane pump gas. x_x
And yup, stool is from Wal-Mart, found a few hidden on the backside of the furniture area, looked like they were getting ready to do away with them. The only reason my machine is where it is now is because it's the only place it could go. LOL That wall was also a waste of space and the top of that shelving unit wasn't being put to much use since it's so low and amazingly the machine fit there perfectly. LOL
As for finds...
Not much, grabbed a Justifer lightgun for the Genesis for $1 loose at a yard sale. Looks to be in decent shape.

Yeah, overpriced in your world maybe... :P
I consider any NES/SNES deck with hookups for under $20 to be a worthy investment. Although I personally buy them as backups, should I ever need some cash, I could sell them for a little profit back.
