I haven't played my Bally Astrocade in a long time, but I fired it up this morning and I have to say, I had some fun. Galactic Invasion is one of the better Galaga clones I've seen. The graphics and audio are quite a bit better than I remember. Any other Astrocade fans out there, and what are your favorite titles?

Try this thread out...

I compared an astrocade to an emerson arcadia a while back.

I really like my Astrocade a lot, I have a mint boxed console with one stick and Astro Invasion and a few other games I really like the system, definately ahead of its time, the games play great and the joysticks are very comfortable to use and quite responsive and accurate.

Huge Huge Huge Huge Huge Astrocade fan

Currently I have two systems, the rare white Astrocade System, and a Homebrew development unit with the rare add-in dev board that was the actual unit that made Sneaky Snake, which is one of my more rarer carts. I currently have 36 carts(that is including variants). I have two prototypes, Galaxian(boots up Galaxian) and Solar Conqueror. My favorite is Artillery Duel, one dang fun two player game to play. Long live the Astrocade!!!!

I like the Astrocade quite a bit, although I don't play it as much as I should. The Incredible Wizard is, well, incredible. Dogpatch is great 2-player fun.

This thread is the perfect place to plug Bally Alley (http://www.ballyalley.com/), the best Astrocade resource on the web. If you like the Astrocade, check it out!

I love the astrocade. It is one of my favorite 3 systems, the other two are the 2600 and vectrex in no particular order. In fact I would personally love to see some new homebrews for the astrocade.

Long live the astrocade!!

I really like it myself, though I've had problems with finding working controllers. What surprised me the most is the quality of sound. They sound "deep" and more full than say the Odyssey^2 and the VCS.
