On Thursday I bought a XBox t-shirt for $1.69 after the student discount at goodwill, not half bad, been going to different ones looking for some shirts. I hope I'll find some gaming stuff today when I go to a thrift store and another goodwill location.

I went downtown today for some other buisness I needed to do, and realized I really should've gone yard saling today. At every corner, there was atleast one if not two signs. Ugh, oh well.

I went to the video store and got
Maximo Army of Zin for $5. Pretty good deal.
They had Marvel v Capcom 2 for XBox, and I might go grab it to resell it.

Goodwill:
* Sega Nomad - $5 (no battery pack, works, no scratches)
* "Winter Olympics" for the Mega Drive - $3 (odd to find a Mega Drive game in Georgia)
* Crue Ball. (heh) $2

Flea Market:
NES- 3 for $10
3 Camerica Games:
* Bee-52
* Mig-29
* Firehawk

There was a guy there with a CDX but wanted $125-150 for it. He's negotiable, but way more than I wanted to spend.

Today I had one of my best finds ever(mainly because of the price that I paid and for me also what it was, may not be too great to others).

I went to a goodwill(my favorite location out of all the ones near me) and I was going to pick up some CIB mint Genesis sports games but I didn't. As I was looking at the records, my dad comes over with something in his hand, he asked me if I wanted it or knew what it was, I told him that it was for Virtual Boy, to make this story go along more quickly, it had no price on it, and the reason it is my favorite location quickly proved itself. We the cashier(young, punky looking girl) the price, and there was no way I was passing it up. She said $0.29? I said OK. It ended up being $0.27 with my student discount (yeah I am that cheap LOL LOL ). So I end up with a minty loose copy of Mario Clash for $0.27. This was one of my best finds, but for some or most others it would not rank very highly.

(sorry for the long story x_x :/ , but this ranks up there in my finds)

Three communities in northern Milwaukee suburbs had city-wide garage sales today :) I was despairing of finding anything besides $10 PS2 sports games and $5 loose NES games when I stumbled across...

NIB PsOne screen (Sony brand) $10
NIB GC screen (Intek) $20

Woot!

Almost got a PSOne itself for $10 but it had no power cord, and those things aren't fun to find.

Well, here's my haul for the month. Some pleasant surprises, and possibly my best find for the year. Sorry for the crappy photos... my digital camera is slowly dying.
http://i20.photobucket.com/albums/b235/joshnickerson/may2006_02.jpg
Metroid Fusion Guide - $2.00
F-1 Race Box, w/ 4 player adaptor - $0.50 @_@

The 4 Player adaptor was still inside it's plastic wrap.

http://i20.photobucket.com/albums/b235/joshnickerson/may2006_01.jpg
Out of This World - $5.00 (I still can't figure out how to play this game, but it has some awesome graphics)
Final Fantasy Legend 2 - $3.00
Assorted Pokemon Keychains - 3 for $1.00

http://i20.photobucket.com/albums/b235/joshnickerson/may2006_03.jpg
Game.Com - Complete in box - $5.00
I know it sucks, but hell, I figured I might as well find out just how bad it was in person for only five bux. It also came with a manual for Frogger, I don't know why... at least it has a decent game of solitare built in.

http://i20.photobucket.com/albums/b235/joshnickerson/may2006_04.jpg
Now we're cooking with gasoline!
Wario Ware Twisted (complete) - $19.99
Yoshi Touch & Go (no manual :( ) - $14.99
New Super Mario Bros (new) - $27.99
Mega Man - $3
Gyruss - $3
Magical Tetris Challenge - $3

And now, I present to you... my biggest find of the year (thus far)
http://i20.photobucket.com/albums/b235/joshnickerson/may2006_05.jpg

Tengen Tetris (complete) - $2 @_@ @_@ @_@
The box is faded in the front, and the manual cover is ripped, but damn, I probably woulda paid twenty bucks for just the cartridge.

Not too spectacular but here's what I got today:
Playstation:
Strikers 1945 (mint - $8.99)

Huge fan of these side scrollers so to find it on the PS1 almost brought tears to my eyes. Knabbed it imediately and got it before someone else later could snatch it.

Genesis:
Steel Empire (nice condition loose)
Chuck Rock II Son of Chuck (nice condition loose)
$1.99 each

I've been waiting awhile to grab Steel Empire from the wild somewhere. They had a complete priced at $7.99 but since all I really need right now is the game, I'll hold out for the box+manual.

...And then my awesome handheld addition:
Sega Nomad in really decent shape and flawless gameplay for $16, and came with a free Street Fighter II Champ game, woot. Had to laugh at the SF2CE due to the sticker on the front and the abundant finding of it. Oh well, it was that or Sonic 2. It came with no cords but that's alright due to having extras. I'll most likely stash the nomad in with my GameGear carrying case and have them share the same AC adaptor.

I had one of the best days I have had in 2 years.
I was in town for a funeral. A neighbor was setting up a yard sale. My initial look I didn't see anything that caught my eye. Later that day. I was driving past I spoted what looked like a big box with a sega cd game case so i told the driver to stop. I didn't have time to look at every thing just a so I just glanced in the box there was a nes system misc carts. He kept saying he didn't have audio video cables. I was thinking I have plenty of nes cables. He said give me 10.00 for the box. I said no problem. I threw the box in the trunk. Thought it was a great deal. I get home here is what was in the box.

Game gear with carrying case 2 games
Major pro baseball
sonic 2

Nes system
games
battletoads
castlevania 2
festers quest
dynowarez
a boy and his blob
paperboy
clash at demonhead
tomand jerry
megaman2
8 eyes
turtle 2
golgo 13
super mario 3
duck hunt

1 snes game mech warrior

1 2600 game spiderfighter

sega cd games
links
masked rider
ground zero
sonic
sega6in one

1 sim city 2000 pc game

And now for the gem. Underneath the nes was the

Sega CDX
Dusty but nice condition. scale of 1-10 I give it an 8
It had a power supply but no audio/video cable. The system comes on I just have to get the cables.

This definately renewed my faith in yard sales. Things were getting scarce. I wasn't expecting anything much. Life is funny.

I think when he bought it someone gave him the sega saturn audio/video cables by mistake. They were in the box still had the twist tie.

On Friday I picked up 2 Psp internal battery packs for 15.00.
Great week

Went to the elephant-sized Elkhorn flea market; passed-up A LOT of great stuff (this one guy had about seven brand-new atari handhelds) because of ridicoulously high pricing (said handhelds in this case were $10 a peice :bad-words:). anyways, here's what I got:

Damnit, I want that DVD... I've only found it for rentals around here and nearly everyone is VHS.

Well, didn't get much today but managed to find:

Rocket Knight Adventure (GEN) $1

Super Volleyball (GEN) $1

Scooby-Doo Mystery (SNES) $1

Decided to get one since I'm getting more sports, fighting, and puzzle games on this system so it's worth a small investment to get an arcade controller. Should be nifty with the Steel Empire I got the other day as well. :)

the other day I saw a pile of polariums for the ds at my usual goodwill, they wanted 10..since i already had a sealed copy i decided to risk coming back the next day when they were half off.

I went back and found out some dirty little mutant had stolen all the games out of the cases, but fortuatnly they missed one copy, so I got one to play

GOOD GOOD THIS GAME IS CRAP, I feel sorry for the kids who went through all the trouble to steal it
blech

but I did find something of interest:

<img src ="http://www.green-ranger.com/nes/finds/atari6switch.jpg">

i'm not sure, but I think its a "heavy sixer"
it was only 3$.

I 've only ever had 4 switch ones with or withou the wood grain, i'm curious to what the differnece is with this and a "Darth vader" model (I always assumed it was the one without the wood grain)

this one is definatly MUCH heavier then any other atari i've ever had, dunno if its OMG RARE or anything, but a neat addition to my atari collection :-)

this thing is pretty sweet... noticed it walking through the book section of one of my local Salvys. it's basically a where's waldo book with street fighter characters. each setting is one of the characters countries/cities. fun stuff.

LOL That's pretty cool.

I didn't plan to go to the dinky Flea Market today..But I got a break and took a quick run and peek..(I love the hunt)

I found nothing but before I left I spotted the NES system..
The lady wanted $30.00 for the NES and $5.00 each game,...I first I grabbed the SMBs as I always need them..
Then she said if I bought it all she'd give me a better deal.

$50.00 for everything..IMO not a find-steal...But 5 games I don't own and will add to my collection the other stuff I will re-sell...works out..

After a VERY shitty week (seriously, my personal life is a wreck right now), I... well... I had an excellent day today. It scares me. Makes me think something bad is going to happen soon.

This is a combined thread - today's finds plus something from last wednesday.

Last wednesday:
I found two very... um... not work safe hentai doujinshi books. Fan-made drawn pr0n, so to speak. I don't want them, but I only got 'em because I thought they were legit art books. :P Since they're not entirely work safe (no nudity, just lewd poses), you get text links.

Dandizm 21 Vol. 7 (http://img117.imageshack.us/my.php?image=dandizm4tp.jpg)
King of Fighters 94-99 Special Edition (http://img117.imageshack.us/my.php?image=9599speced1zo.jpg)

Today's finds (May 24):

http://img243.imageshack.us/img243/3609/ryuukonokenvhs7hv.th.jpg (http://img243.imageshack.us/my.php?image=ryuukonokenvhs7hv.jpg)
An Art of Fighting (Ryuuko No Ken) combo VHS tape with four The Path of the Warrior: Art of Fighting 3 trading cards inside! Got this little gem in the mail from The_Chosen_One (traded for that Modem Mahjong Genesis game I had for sale).

http://img243.imageshack.us/img243/4285/winmefantasy0on.th.jpg (http://img243.imageshack.us/my.php?image=winmefantasy0on.jpg)
Windows ME Upgrade (boxed and complete), The Fantasy Collection CD with paperwork = $5

Rebel Assault 2, Dark Forces (with strategy guide), Dark Forces II: Jedi Knight, and Mysteries of the Sith: Dark Forces II- Jedi Knight Expansion Pack, all complete = $7! He was selling 'em for $2 each but gave me a discount because I'm a regular customer, and always say hi, even if I don't buy anything from him. Heh.

http://img243.imageshack.us/img243/9497/ddrmax2ps20su.th.jpg (http://img243.imageshack.us/my.php?image=ddrmax2ps20su.jpg)
DDRMAX2 (PS2), MINT = $2! The guy who sold me all those Star Wars games above also had a box with CDs in them. He was selling them for $2 each, but didn't notice this little gem in there. I grabbed it, and asked him for a total, and he said $9, so I got the game for $2. Looks mint, too bad I don't have a PS2 to test it! LOL

Puyo Puyo Famicom Cart (apparently legit), Chinese Chess (MGC-001), 72 game multicart = $9, also included the game below...

Sachen's 16 Mahjong. Boxed, apparently complete.

Oh, and I also found a NES game box, with a manual. What game?

Hey SonicTeam you need to make the other pic smaller. You don't want InsaneDavid yelling at you. :P

Hey now, there's no need for me to do that anymore - seems you all complain for me, which goes back to what I was always saying: it bothers a lot more people than just me. Nothing wrong with showing people the ropes. ;)

Decided to stop at the local pawn shop after work... hadn't been there for a month and he hasn't gotten anything really new game related in a while. Well, am I ever glad I stopped today.

I noticed in his standard boxes of NES games on the floor, there were some games with AVE covers. And darned if they didn't look fairly mint. Then I took a closer look, played it smooth. LOL The owner's son quoted me at 3 bucks apiece, and he was visibly pissed when I paid. Well, should I say, he actually said, "I hate it when he quotes people like that. I know some of these are harder to find and are worth more to me... that's all you want to pay? 15? Alright..."

So for $15.90... all NES

Puzzle (w/manual)
Krazy Kreatures
Trolls on Treasure Island
Hollywood Squares (I know, not AVE, but I needed it)
and Solitaire (w/manual)

Pretty good for me, pics to come if / when I find my camera's USB cable.
