ScottK, my friend and business partner placed an order with you in April as well. He paid you $180 for tons of stuff. His paypal would have been through Shanon Wood or Sara Wood, being shipped to Kingsland, GA. His DP name is ShanonW76.
Now I understand that it will cost you more to get out a large order like that, but man it needs to get done soon. Many of us have been VERY patient but a $180 order seems to be around 5 times the size of your regular orders.
Please let either Shanon or myself have an update. You can respond in this thread or via PM, whichever you like.
Thanks - Ken

Saga continuing.
Is there anyone else out there still expecting closure on this or have most people's issues been resolved?
I luckily have closure on my deal with ScottK (i.e. he sent the items, late of course but hey he sent it)
I imagine there are still a handful withOUT closure, as suggested by the posters in the late 5 or so replies in this topic.
Again, it seems he sent the games to the people who made the most racket... he was probably scared those would be the same people who would attempt some sort of legal action.

I could be wrong but the main page seems to suggest he stopped by/logged in today and was visiting the boards. Maybe someone else can confirm that.

That is terrible. Complete lack of communication.
Yeah, what a disappointment. At least he won't get his money from me until after I get my stuff.
Here's what my confirmation number has been telling me about the package that he said had been "next one to go out" before all the problems started and then he waited to ship until May 20th when I told him I'd be out of town and forwarding my mail as of May 25th.
Acceptance, May 20, 2006, 11:15 am, WHEELER, IN 46393
Enroute, May 27, 2006, 9:14 pm, DALLAS, TX 75398
Arrival at Unit, May 30, 2006, 5:30 am, AUSTIN, TX 78759
Notice Left, May 30, 2006, 11:26 am, AUSTIN, TX 78759
Enroute, June 08, 2006, 1:21 am, DALLAS, TX 75398
Enroute, June 09, 2006, 6:50 pm, PHILA, PA 19919
Enroute, June 13, 2006, 8:31 am, PHILA, PA 19919
Enroute, June 15, 2006, 6:57 pm, DALLAS, TX 75398
Please note the criss-cross nature of the path. I'm tempted to think that Dallas is seeing the forwarding notice and saying, "hey this needs to go to Philly" and Philly can't read the forwarding notice and is saying "duh, this needs to go to Austin, (via Dallas)." I think it's a fifty/fifty chance that it will go to Austin or Philly, next.
Anyway, let this serve as a warning to all those who think getting packages forwarded isn't going to be a problem.

This is far beyond ridiculous. I don't want to see this thread again.
Scott K, whatever needs to be settled, settle it. I want to hear a week from today (June 28th) that this is over and done with. If I don't, I am going to get PERSONALLY involved. No more bullshit excuses, just end it.

Well, assuming whatever container attached to my confirmation number isn't just filled with packing peanuts, 'ol ScottyK has "done whatever he could" to get me my package. Except sending it via priority mail. Or even remotely close to promptly. There's nothing he can do now about my alleged stuff being shuffled around the country.
What he CAN do, until I get my stuff at least, is be reminded that his word, i.e., what he uses to communicate to people, is worth less than what I could get for my navel lint on eBay.
Of course, remember, I DID take my refund (forcibly, via my credit card and then through PayPal) so as far as "being cheated" technically, I'm not cheated. I'm actually more annoyed at the US postal service right now than at ScottK, for making it look like my package is a yo-yo. I just want it to be over. Until I get the package and pay for it or until the package is "returned to sender", it ain't over. (Which means, at the moment, I can't actually go out and buy a NES for my son, because, supposedly there's one coming in the mail.)
Yeah, I'm a closure freak.
I do understand, however, that in a buying and selling forum, such bumping can disrupt legitimate buying and selling, so I'll only edit my previous post listing the progress of my package from now on, and I won't bump this thread until I actually get my stuff. If I ever get the stuff.

Got 95% of my stuff.
Details- Below is what I ordered under the Buy 1 get 1 free deal.
Working NES System (complete with hook-ups, 2 controllers, light gun, mario/duck hunt game) $20
w/
Final Fantasy $12.50
and
Working Nintendo 64 System (core system only, no hook-ups) $8
and
Robotech Invasion $10 (Xbox)
Under Buy 1 get 1 Free, (assuming cheaper items would be free) this would come to 32.50. He asked for $43 ($10.50 for shipping and handling) I paid him April 8th.
Around May 8th, I take my money back via my credit card company and I open up a complaint with PayPal.
Credit card refunds my money right away.
I let him know I'm leaving town on the 25th. He says no problem, you'll get your stuff before you leave.
Paypal closes my complaint and lets the charge back stand.
He sends it all media mail on May 20th. The package misses me and arrives at my house on May 30th.
June 28th, I get the box. Everything is there except for the NES controllers and the SMB/Duck Hunt cart. NES boots up, though I have to give the Final Fantasy cart a blow. N64 is core system only (as advertised), and I'm laughing at myself for thinking an AC pack would be easy to find.
Show of hands: Should I pay him the full amount regardless of his crappy handling of it all? Should I "discount" S&H and only pay him $32.50? Should I "discount" all S&H and take off $6 or so for the controllers? Or Should I "discount" all S&H and take off whatever it costs me to find replacement controllers? Or some alternative I hadn't thought of?
Let me put it this way. I was in this for the NES. I would not have ordered any of it if there hadn't been a NES with all hookups and two controllers. I would never have ordered the NES at all if it didn't have the controllers.
I guess another alternative is to rebox the stuff and send it all back to him, but he's not worth the trouble and I know for a fact this stuff doesn't qualify under Media Mail unless I'm feeling dishonest.

Actually I would re-pay none of it. I would pick one of the other unfortunate victims and give him part of the money to help offset his loss.

I don't know. Thats a tough one. If it were me, I would feel like I was stealing if I kept the stuff and didn't pay anything for it, and that would make me no better than he. If you send the stuff back, then you are spending money out of your pocket just because he screwed up. If you send one of his unpaid victims the money, then you are taking care of what he should be taking care of.
I guess given those three choices, I would go with option C. You shouldn't have to do it for him, but this way you can keep the stuff without feeling like you stole it (although maybe that isn't a problem for you), and you are doing right by a fellow DPer.
Sucks about the NES controllers though. Anyone have any spares they can send Mezra?

I'm stickifying this again. Please post here, as succinctly as possible, whatever ScottK still owes you. I will be compiling a list and deciding how to move forward from there, based on the input from those who are still owed items. My thinking at the moment as that we need to move forward with legal charges of fraud.
ScottK if you are reading please contact me so we can discuss the situation. If I do not hear from you I will assume that you are not willing to cooperate and you will be banned from the site.

I still haven't received anything(package or otherwise). I sent $43.00 for some loose SNES games.

Sounds good. I think you should also cross-check his IP address to make sure he isn't already back here (selling under a different name).
Sorry if I'm pointing out the obvious.

I have been following this thread very close (for obvious reasons).
Anyways, I just updated my original post. It actually SEEMS* that KyleRXzero is the only one not taken care of. He is owed $43 or the equal amount in loose SNES games he ordered.
I suggest that mezrabad PAYPAL over the money (which happens to be $43) that he got when he was sent a refund from his credit card company.
Or Mezrabad, if you just want to send over the $32.50 to reimburse yourself for the crappy shipping that would work too.
I would then give KyleRXzero the remaining $10.50 just to end this.
*= If there is anyone else to be taken care of (i.e. hasn't gotten their stuff or a refund) please let us know by posting below.

No KidIce, I thought it was more too. I think all of the frequent posters here just recently got taken care of.
I can personally confirm that ShanonW76 just got his big order (in absolute shite condition). When I went through the thread to check and see almost everyone on my first list posted saying they got the merchandise (once again in crap condition).

Wait, I'm confused. You're going to pay ScottK the money? WTF for?
CueWarrior is right. You may be the better/bigger man by paying him, but hell you already are anyway.
I mean if you don't pay him, it is not like he is going to dare show his face around here and ask for the money. What is he going to say? That YOU ripped him off? Do you picture him coming on here and making demands for the cash?
He DOES need to be taught a lesson, IMO. This has yet to happen at any point. The fact that he hastily shipped items does not teach him a lesson, since he is only doing what he was obligated to do. He was paid for product and shipping, so he has yet to "feel the burn."
Badgering him into finally shipping the items didn't send a real message. Stiffing him of the payment to make a loud statement will send a real message that he is to honor future transactions in a timely fashion. The lesson will serve him well on the next board he decides to peddle his wares on, since he is forever done here. It would also allow him to see how the other half feels when they are on the short end of the stick in a transaction.

exactly. DO NOT send him the money. Hell if you are you might as well send it to me I'll take real good care of it.

AAAhhh, okay, I see the logic here.
I got some of my stuff, Kyle got none of his stuff, by coincidence, we were both charged $43 for the stuff. If I send my $43 to Kyle, he gets his refund for all the stuff he paid for but didn't get.
Scott K doesn't get the $43 for my stuff, because it's being used as a refund for stuff he didn't send Kyle.
I'm okay with this, but if Kyle does eventually receive his stuff, he needs to pay ScottK for it, agreed? I'll PayPal Kyle when he sends me his paypal address. (Unless I'm driving back from the Space Shuttle launch at the time.)
Does anyone else have a different opinion? Anyone have something against this "triangle trade refund" that's being implemented here? Anyone got a nice legitimate sounding term for it to make it sound legal?
From an accounting perspective I think I'm transferring an entry from my Accounts Payable to Kyle's Accounts Receivable (by crediting my Accounts Payable and debiting his Accounts Receivable) and asking ScottK to balance it by debiting his Accounts Receivable and crediting his Accounts Payable. I may have it mixed up because I've slept since my last Financial Accounting course. ;)

Yep, that was exactly what I figured would be best. That would be mighty big of you to do.
I actually found out yesterday that ShanonW76 did not receive all of his stuff. He is unfortunately out to sea (he is in the Navy). He told me before he left that he had the package but did not look through it yet.
He had a very large order and his wife told me that she checked and there were TONS of items missing. They also did not recieve any reimbursement for the missing items.
Anyways, he will be gone for at least a month. Please do not lock this thread until he can pop his head in here and let us know what's missing.
Y'know even with a-holes like ScottK, this site still rules. I mean look at all of the people who are trying to help the ones who got ripped off. I just think stuff like that makes this my favorite site.

I don't know ShanonW76 but depending on what is missing, I could ship a couple items (no cost) if it happens to be stuff I have and may not want/need as much as him. Once it is determined what is missing, I'm sure others would contribute.

ScottK owes me nothing, I've never dealt with the user online.
But I was curious if anybody knows if the gamelord retail location is still open? I went there once a few years ago and was thoroughly creeped out by the looks my girlfriend and I received when we walked in. But I'm going back to that area this weekend and was thinking about stopping/driving by to see if it's managed to stay open.
Let me know. Thanks.
