ScottK you still have 1 person that you need to take care of. This is the only person that so far (that I can tell) HAS NOT received items that he paid for:
KyleRXZero
I can say that the whole thing has left people very pissed. You need to take care of one last person and get out of our site.
So far all that I know for people who have received their items (most are still not happy with their orders-i.e. maple syrup, scratched DVDs, tons of missing items):

Let me know if you get your stuff in and I will mark you in the "received box".
I had to start this thread. ScottK had a big Buy One Get One FREE sale around a month ago and no ones items have showed up. I truly hope that he is O.K. and that nothing bad happened, but you never know.

Here's to hoping we can resolve this!

Well, I was trying to business with him and all of a sudden he up and vanished.
A deal was not confirmed and payment was not given from me.
I was hoping to get a good deal from him, but usually the things that are "Too good to be true", are just that.
Im just glad that if this is a scam, that I didnt send any payment as of yet.
Hopefully this is just bad timing, as I am very eager to get some items from him.

Actually... I was wanting a set of 4 NES games from him, and when I put in my order, he only had 3 of the 4 and I didn't order at all as a result. I believe Chip and Dale's Rescue Rangers was the game that was already taken.

$34.75 with shipping which I paid on March 31.

See that is what bothers me, I paid for my stuff on April 11th. So that basically means that he had 11 (or 12) days to ship your stuff. Yet he was still accepting orders....weird.

Very weird indeed, DrWily.
So, when was the last time he PM'ed you guys?
For me, it was 4/18/06, where he confirmed with me that he had already sent the items.
Did you send yet?

Package was sent sometime last week. I had a ton of B1G1 Free orders and it took me several days of running to the post office to get everyone's package sent. You should receive the package within the next few days.

Matrix Reloaded is the only one that I have that is still brand new. Your new updated list would be:
Kirby's Adventure $6
Skate or Die FREE
Gremlins 2 $4
Blades of Steel FREE
Matrix Reloaded (brand new) $4.75
The Animatrix FREE
The new total with shipping would be $20.25.
Thats what I got. So, drwily, we have two things in common there. Although, I wanted all 4 of the matrix movies, and the guy said he was out of two of them, and you had one of them.
This is getting worse every day, I dont like the details. I even took a few days to pay him from when I was intrested in the items, so I ended up paying him on the 15th, and he responded that same day. When I asked for his paypal account.

"This is a message from Game Lord that I received:
"I am really sorry....your stuff is still here. I've been having alot of financial/business/employee problems lately and will get the package in the mail as soon as possible. I have about 50 packages that are still behind in shipment. Some are from digital press others are from ebay. I know that some of the packages are a month behind and I really do appologize. I promise to have everyone's package sent sometime this upcoming week. I just got back into town a few days ago and am in the process of straightning out this mess. I never intended to rip anyone off or anything like that. Everyone's package is still here and will be mailed off as soon as funds become available to do so. I expect to send everything out priority mail with delivery confirmation. I will email everyone their delivery confirmation number on Monday.
Could you do me a huge favor and post a message on digital press letting everyone know that their stuff is still on the way and that I will email everyone a delivery confirmation number on Monday? I would really appreciate it. I would do it myself, but unfortunatly my pc is currently broke and I am only accessing the internet through a dreamcast right now."

"I just love it when people on here don't ship for a freaking month and expect everyone to understand."
Well said. As a seller, I don't ever list more items than I can ship out in a reasonable amount of time. If you have 30-40 items to sell, there is something to be said for sitting on the rest of them if you can't get everything out within a few days. Instead, most people just list every damn item they have available then use excuses. It's always someone elses fault.
"Well, I didn't expect to get so many orders or to do so much business. So what do you want me to do?"
or excuse #2
"I'm not a business. I live alone in an apartment and it's just me shipping everything out and I only make it to the post office once a week, etc."
I've got a few hundred items I could list here or on Ebay all at once, but I am responsible enough to not do it, because listing every damn one of them would result in me getting backed up. I like to ship items on time, as do most people here.
Quoted from a few posts down. Gamelord = ScottK
Everyone's package is still here and will be mailed off as soon as funds become available to do so.
WTF?! We sent the money for the shipping, it should be available already dontcha think? That money's not for hookers and blow, it's to ship out our damn packages!
Well, I'll believe it when I see it, or rather when I punch the DC # into usps.com and it gives me useful information, on second thought, I'd rather get a scan of the P.O. receipt that shows he bought postage for my specific zip code (and the DC#).
I'm moving soon, so it had better get here soon (my moving shouldn't have been an issue I haven't bought anything online in...a month, fancy that).
This is just patently unacceptable. Maybe I don't understand what it is to have such amazing volume of sales at one time to delay shipping or whatever, but still, if you're not prepared to ship things in a timely manner why are you selling stuff online. (or perhaps, why are you selling it all at once) Even when I list a dozen things on ebay and everyone pays me the day after the auctions end, I end up carrying all 12 packages by hand (not in a car mind you) to the P.O. the day I get paid, or the day after depending on how late in the day I get the money, heck, sometimes I make two trips to the P.O. in a day just to give that little extra service (I feel if you paid me today, and the P.O. is still open, then I should ship today, plus I let the buyer know it's shipped, give them the dc # if they want it, etc). If there was some emergency, that I can understand, if I'm contacted, even if you're getting online with a dreamcast you should be able to get into dp or yahoo mail or something to let your customers know what's going on. You can even arrange for the postal service to pick up priority packages from your home while you're tending to your sick father (or whatever other lame excuse you happen to use).
Ok, rant over

I posted this in the original thread last night, then I saw this thread.
Last night I sent an email to sales@gamelord.com, today I got a response from Scott. The following is that email. I hope this helps.
"Thank you for being more patient and understanding than others. I am sorry for the long delay. I have had so many problems as of lately. It started out when my website got hacked into and suspended. I got it back, but lost all content including emails for a week. Then I was out of town for a few weeks and had employess take care of the store. They didn't ship the packages like they were supposed to. They also stole alot of money and merchandise from me. My paypal account and ebay account have pretty much been shut down. In any event I've been real short on funds. but really do want to get this issue and every one else's resolved. I never intended to rip anyone off. I still have the stuff and will mail everyone's items out within the next seven days. I have about 50 packages that need to be shipped immediatly and yours is one of them. I do have your delivery confirmation number on your package. The number is: 0306 0320 0001 4014 3003 . I promise to have it out asap, but please give me up to a week to get everthing sent out. My PC is also broken and that is the reason why I have not been able to access the dp site and write a message there.
If you could do me a favor and post a message on dp for me asking that anyone who has not heard from me today, to email me here (sales@game-lord.com) . For right now I am only able to contact people through this email account. I thank you again for your patience. I really do want to get this matter (and everyone else's matter) cleared up.

"The package has already been sent. It was sent sometime last week. I had a ton of orders from the B1G1 free sale and had to make several trips to the post office to get everything sent out. You should receive it within the next few days.
Scott"
That's a note I received from Scott on April 17th, nine days after he received my payment on April 8th.
If he hadn't sent it, why did he say he'd sent it? Why does he emphasize that he'd made several trips to the post office to get everything sent when none of us have received any of it and it was his employees who were supposedly taking care of it anyway? I'd have liked to have given the guy the benefit of the doubt, but he told me he sent it and now he's telling us he's going to send it. Not to mention he'd told us he would send us all delivery confirmation numbers on Monday. It's wednesday, folks. Smell the coffee.
Again, nothing would make me happier to find out he, in fact, had sent it when he said he did and to find the stuff on my doorstep over the next few days, but as things look now, he apparently lied about sending it in the first place, he failed to live up to sending out delivery confirmation numbers and now he wants seven more days.
I paid him via paypal with credit card and my credit card company was happy to cancel the charge. I advise others to do the same sooner than later. Paypal has a 45 day deadline for making claims like this. I can't help thinking it would be to a scammer's benefit to string out the resolution past that deadline.
If this is just a big misunderstanding, I do sympathize with the guy, he's probably going through a rough time to be so behind on shipments, but I don't see how that connects to having lied about having shipped something.

Oh, I thought he was trying to pass himself off as the Postmaster. It still sucks that he closed down the account that he told us all to contact him at.
I just got off the phone with his answering machine. Obviously no one answered, so I left a polite but stern message. I told him that he needs to make an appearance here to let us know what is going on.
He really pisses me off and I left him negative feedback. I think that a MOD should change the title of his feedback thread. If someone were to see that thread, they might not read through until the end and then they would miss the great things he is doing for our DP community.

That email was sent automatically by Hotmail, which looks to be your email server. It is legit. Since you have a Hotmail account, they are simply notifying you that they are unable to deliver your email to that gamelord.com email address.
All it means is the guy has either shut down his email address (which was already stated) OR his email box is currently full/over quota, which means he doesn't have any more email coming in until he deletes some messages.

Im not defending him but sometimes if you use an automated postal machine, usps doesn't scan it until it actually arrives at its destination.
Happens to me a lot when I make late night trips to the 24/7 post office.
Doubt this is the case though..
I guess all you could do is call him :(.
Odd case in scaming though, the prices were so cheap. Did anyone even pay over $50 for an order? I guess im just used to the big time scams, for the neo-geo boards, thats why.

Update
I emailed him on May 10th and apparently got a reply yesterday that I found today.
He said he will be sure to have the package to me in plenty of time (I'm leaving town soon). He just needs a few days for a check to come in; he never intended for things to be so long. He thought he'd sent it to me last time we spoke but that my package had actually been sitting in his trunk and was supposed to be the next order out. He includes a delivery confirmation number and says it should be activated Saturday or Monday.
Okay, he's communicating. This is a good thing. We'll see what happens.
Hey, if mine was supposed to be the next order out then it is reasonable to infer that anyone who paid before me (April 8th) should have gotten their stuff already. Is there anyone that fits that description?

Anyone at all?

I didn't buy anything from this guy, so mayby i should stay out of this... but i'm going to throw my 2 cents in anyway.
Anyone who has the ability to get their money back should do so. If you paid by credit card, i'd issue a fraud report. If you paid through paypal, i'd file a chargeback. If you paid through check, i'd cancel the check (if you can). MO? Dunno, you're in trouble.
The excuses this guy is putting out don't add up anymore. First he sent the packages. They never show up. Then he was out of town and had his employees sending the packages. Still nothing. Then his employees didn't send the packages. Then it was "wait a few days for the tracking number". Then the tracking numbers hadn't been sent yet. Now its "wait a few days for a check to clear"....
The excuses don't add up, this all sounds like a delay tactic so people won't be able to file charge backs. Even good sellers have hard times, but that doesn't mean they get to rip people off.

His ears must have been burning, I just got this:
I am sorry for the long delay. I never intended for things to take this long. I was doing huge volumes of sales on ebay and digital press. Things got out of control at the business and the funds weren't available for shipping the remaining items out. I have been working three jobs to come up with money to pay for shipping. I am getting a small check tonight and will be able to ship some packages out tomorrow (Saturday). The remaining packages will be shipped when I receive more funds on Monday or Tuesday. Then I will hopefully have everything shipped off and everything cleared up. There have been so many problems at the business lately that it would take forever to explain. The delivery confirmation of your package will be: # 0306 0320 0001 4014 3065 . You should expect it to be mailed within the next few days.

He has been working three jobs to pay for shipping packages he already had money for?
Methinks those three jobs are the following:
Lying, Cheating and Stealing.
They combine to pay $200-400 a week, depending on how well he does at scamming.

ScottK says:
<< I have been working 3 jobs to pay off the shipping >>
I classify myself as an eternal optimist, but I am a realistic optimist.
I paypaled ScottK April 11. At this point, it seems one poster hit the nail on the head... this is all just a delay tactic and games to get us buyers OUT of the 45-day filing limit.
ScottK you've had more than enough time to either:
A) Ship our games
or/and
B) Get in personal reach with each of us
Both of which you failed to do.
May 26 is my 45 day window... but if I do not receive my items by May 20 I will be reporting this transaction, and I encourage everyone else to do so.
3 jobs just sounds like a bunch of baloney, sorry.

ScottK isn't getting away with this so easily. If we don't get our stuff, there is enough of us out there to DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT. IF he DOESN'T send our stuff, he'll have to live with whatever legal consequences that may come with stealing people's money.

I'm 6 foot 4 inches at 315 pounds. LOL
Seriously though, I don't have a land line so operator (411) calls cost me $1.25. If someone else could find out the number of his local police station based on the area code I listed above.....well I think that would be step #1.

I finally got my computer fixed today. The first thing I wanted to do was come here and clear things up.
I know that everyone is upset with me. I don't blame you all. I would be really pissed too. Business was doing good and the order volume kept coming in. Things got backed up and when the orders stopped coming in...there were no funds left for shipping the remaining items.
It is true that I have been working 3 jobs lately (one of them ends tomorrow, then I will only have 2 jobs). I took on the second job so that I could come up with the money to ship everything. I just started the third job so that I can try to save the business, my house, car, etc.
I thank the people who emailed me and kept everyone posted here. For the past few weeks, the email was the only method of contact for me and I wanted everyone to know I wasn't ignoring them.
I just receive the first paycheck today and will get another one on Wednesday. The one I got today is kinda small, but will allow me to get about half of the packages in the mail on Monday morning. The other packages will have to wait until Wednesday when the other check is received.
The past month has really been financial hell for me. I never would have thought that all the orders coming in would all of a sudden come to a halt and that I would fall so far behind. I used to go to the post office three or four times a week...now I haven't been there now in close to a month.
A week-long delay turned into two weeks, then three, then a month. I really am sorry that this happened. Especially here on DP. I really enjoyed buying and selling here over the past 2 years or so. I know that I have now ruined my reputation here forever. I never intended for things to go so wrong. Never thought that I would be going from making descent money to flat broke overnight.
I want to clear everything up. I never intended to hurt anyone. I just got too backed up and never could get things straightened out when the business struggles started. Anyone who doesn't have a delivery confirmation yet, please let me know. They will definatly be activated this week (some starting monday).
I promise that this whole mess will get straightened out this week. I never meant any harm.

Well, glad to see you showed up. I don't fully understand why you had access to e-mail, but NOT Digital Press.
I have to admit, I really do hope you can come through with the promises.
Please make sure to keep in contact with everyone keeping them updated with their status.
I hope everything irons itself out. If not........well, I was this close to calling your local police. I do not want to get you in trouble with the law if it is going to be taken care of.

Scott, I have been very patient with our transaction, and while I certainly don't speak for everyone, it's easy to see MOST of us (if not ALL of us) have been very patient with you.
I ditto Ken Bell's comments -- it is VERY nice to see you post here YOURSELF, and address this situation.
Again, for the record, here is what I paid for from you, Scott:
NES games
----
Duck Tales
Chip N Dales Rescue Rangers
Krion Conquest
Code Name Viper
Metroid
SNES
-------
The Flintstones
When can I expect these six games?
Also, people have been wondering about doubles -- a lot of your buyers are buying the same items -- can you confirm for us that you do indeed have doubles and that is why you sold the same item to 2, 3 different buyers?
Also, please get a delivery confirmation number for all of us. Please send us our DC # when you send out our package. We can post the numbers in this topic, and everyone would feel a lot better about everything, including your reputation.
Finally, May 26 is my personal 45-day filing limit (since I paypal'ed you on April 11)
Like I said, it's May 13 right now. If I don't receive my items by May 20, I'm sticking to my word that I will make some phone calls. That is a week from today... and more than ENOUGH time for you to send my six games out.
I know you understand. I am not threatening you in ANY means, but it's obviously an option the smart buyer would take, since after 45 days... the money's good as gone (as far as reclaiming it is concerned)
However, I'm pretty positive now that you will be a man of your word, since you showed up here to post. We all look forward to stamping this ordeal with a happy ending.

Ok here is a risky trick I heard on another board.
You file with paypal if you paid with funds. He has no money so normally it doesn't do much good. But here is the trick his account is now in debt any new payments go to you. Then have someone send payment via credit card that payment goes to you. When they never get the item (and they won't since he doesn't expexct payment) they reverse charges and get the money back via credit card.
TADA...Everyone has their money.
No I haven't tested it.

Would someone please explain "DC codes being activated" vs. "shipping your stuff out"?
I don't understand why he keeps telling us when our DC codes are going to be activated when what we're really interested in is when he sends the packages, are these events necessarily one and the same?
Mezmoron
05-14-2006, 12:35 PM
The DC codes aren't activated until he actually ships them.
That basically means:
Once you're able to get tracking status on the usps.com website, then the package has been shipped.

When you go to the post office, you can take extra "Delivery Confirmation Slips", "Customs Forms", Insurance Stickers", etc...
He can easily give us a confirmantion #, but until he actually goes to the Post Office and sends them they are inactive.
So, take that for what it is worth, but until the stuff has been sent, I will not be satisfied.
I also think it is weird that he says "I just got my computer fixed, so this is the first chance I have got to come to DP."
But then he says "The only form of communication I have had, has been e-mails."
Still weird, but heres hoping for the best.

I will be sure to post here with an update at least once daily. I'm working on the master list of dc #'s . I should be able to post them all tomorrow. I would rather post everyone's dp screen name instead of real name and that is taking a little time to translate. Some packages will be sent out tomorrow and I will note which ones are. I do plan on having everything sent out this week.

Quoted from a few posts down. Gamelord = ScottK
I don't know where to proper place to post this message then here because this is for everyone who bought something from Game Lord."
The answer is in there.

I didnt buy anything from him, but I hope everyone gets their stuff from him or at the very least, a refund. I myself am going thru a mailing nightmare with 2 different people I sold stuff to. The stuff got mixed by the person I had mail it for me, and now I'm paying the shiping for them to return it so I can pay shiping to the correct addy. Even if both of them end up happy with it, I'm still out the money spent on the needless shiping as well as the reputation I'd tried so hard building up.
