Not very likely considering I still don't have the PSP that I am going to buy for 50$.
More importantly, I know I will not have extra cash for a Sony system when I have to buy a Nintendo product. Sorry, that's just the way it is for me.

So for me the PS3 is the more sensible since I'll be saving $100 (360 + HD DVD + wireless adapter = $700).

Holy Fucking shit! That's one massively priced Wireless adaptor. They go for 65 bucks online. Even if you wanted to go with the Xbox branded one, it's 90 bucks. Doing the math, you can get the premium Xbox 360, plus the Adaptor and the HD-DVD drive for.... 590 dollars. WHOA! That's still cheaper than the PS3! Your reasoning is redundant, please make another argument.

Well lets be honest what will be the new standard.... Bluray or HD DVD?

hmm, It seems you may be right, I was under the impression that the wireless adapter was $100 (thats the only price I'd ever seen it at). I'm pretty sure the HD DVD drive will be $200. I seem to recall reading that a 360 and HD DVD player would be $500, which I would have to assume was the Core. Using that logic a premium Xbox360 and HD DVD drive would be $600. Either way, I'd prefer to get a PS3, I've made my choice.

Be the first to own a PS3?

Can any one tell me why I would want to buy the beta ver. of PS3?

Just like the PS2 or 360, read disc errors, cooling fan issues or whatever problems the next gen 1st issue consoles will always have, send it back to get warranteed, waiting for weeks/months to get it fixed & shipped back?....

Well I am debating whether or not to buy one at launch. I am working this summer, but I am not going to be making too much. Buying a PS3 would be like a 1/4 of all the money i make this summer. That does not include games and accessories. However, some of the games just look inredible and I recently got a Samsung 26' HDTV for my 360 so the PS3 would look sick on my TV.

Soi I think I'm going to set aside $800 so that I can buy the system and a few games.
