hey guys and girls, i was hoping somebody could help me out.
i need a fair price check on a Neo-Geo MVS arcade cab. ya see, there's a tradeing post in town, and the owner has 2 of these, but only wants to sell one now here are some specifics about the machine:
-everything works, and nothing is broken
- the top marquee is a little faded
- has keys for the coin box
- the sides of the machine are a little beat up
- could probably get 1 or 2 common games with it
now the owner apparently LOVES this machine, but since he has two, he's willing to entertain offers. Since he has two, im betting he has a good idea of what to sell it for.
I'm looking to make him a fair offer, nothing that will lowball him, but nothing so high that makes it seem like i got ripped off.
thanks in advance for any help!

Well $300.00 to $500.00 seems to be what most operators I know sell Red cabs for regardless of cab condition, board model or how many if any games come along with it.
$300.00 to $350.00 is about the average I have seen with $500.00 being the extreme highend ,again this form route and arcade opts.
Collectors seem to be insane and think they are made of pure gold or something and generally want too much for them since they have more value to them than they do in the real world.
I have seen empty cabs sell for $100.00 to $150.00 on the average [any condition] and boards usually range from about $90.00 to $100.00 for a single slot ,about $180.00 to $200.00 for the 4 slots with 2 slots falling somewhere in between.
Not sure on the 6 slot since I havent seen one for sale in ages, 1 and 4 slots boards are about the most common.
Personally I wouldnt pay over $500.00 but I also wouldnt feel bad spending that much either, if the guy wants more I would probably pass and look elsewhere but if its worth it to you than bye all means grab it and enjoy it :)
This is from my own experience in California [ older brother was a route and arcade op for many years ] I suppose it could be different on the East coast.
Hope this helps and Good Luck with youre cab search :)

Depends if it comes with a board or not.
Id probably say $400. Anything over $500 is a rip off.

Neo Geos go for $100 to $250 all day long at the auctions here in Milwaukee. But again, it's worth whatever you want to pay for it, I guess.
