GBA SP2 screen in original GBA?

Does anyone know if it is possible to take the screen from a GBA SP2 (the backlit one!) and fit it into the original GBA? I love the form factor of the original and would love to see my games on it! Thanks, P :)

At the bottom of the 4th page I explain how its done. Works very well. Did it with my Classic NES SP. Just takes a few minutes and is foolproof.

I want to fit the new screen in the old style GBA not the SP. I like the SP design but I have always preferred the layout of the old GBA - it's just the screen that I hate!
