Classic computing ++
Would be nice though if it included computing in general, that way it's a bit more broad and includes some extra topics.

Food Drink vote here......man I spend too much time talking about computers and movies as it is already!

Voted for movies.
I can't beleive how close the votes are. Almost all three choices have 33% of the votes.

Yeah, I was surprised too. I wonder when the poll closes...
Edit: Thanks, GAC.

Ahh, all the choices are running head-to-head, 39/41/37 as I post this. My knee-jerk reaction was to vote for Classic Computing, but any of the ideas would be fine by me.

I already voted for computing, but, I was wondering what the forum reaction would be to a book forum.
Be it sci-fi, horror or what ever

how about a forum where people can discuss methods of attack and defense against zombies?
This is an important topic and should be addressed.
Voted film, hope it includes TV. would also enjoy computers, food, comics, damn near any of the suggestions really.

I voted for movies, but got to thinking....Food & Drink would be really cool.
I actually was thinking about starting a thread dedicated to DP Recipes (if it hadn't been done before). I was eating a plate the other day that was so f'in good. I wanted to post it so everyone could try it. It was really cheap and tasted great!
BTW- If we do a forum for food, we should just have one recipe thread. That way, all of the bachleors wont start a thread to inform us they put a chunk of velveeta in thier generic brand Mac n' Cheese to make it better. LOL

Classic Computing. And I hope it was my vote that pushed it over the top.
I procrastinated voting. I didn't think the topics would be so evenly split.

I'm not voting per se, but since all of the choices seem to be pretty popular, maybe we should cycle through them all once it comes up to change the Forum Du Jour again?

After much consultation among the mods, the new FDJ will be "eating, drinking and watching movies while sitting at an old computer."
Okay, so...not really.

I'm a little late to the party as far as suggestions go, but I think a sports forum of some sort would be cool. It would be fun to argue about and since new seasons/events are constantly starting and ending, it would be easy to keep fresh
I think that a sports forum is a really good idea, but not during the summer, when the only major league sport being played is baseball. It would be cool if a sports forum was created for the fall/winter, at the end of baseball and the beginning of basketball, hockey, and football.
Chris
Your right, it would probably be a little better in the fall, but not by much. In addition to Baseball you have the Golf and Tennis majors. Quadrennials like the Olympics and World cup. Plus not to mention general things like trades, drafts, and free agency. Throw in the occasional DUI, drug bust, or domestic violence charge and you've got plenty to talk about. :D

Movies has briefly taken the lead as I write this but I somehow expect classic computing to be the ultimate winner. Too bad as that's the one that interests me the least since I don't have any old computer. I can take part in the "Name All The Computers You've Owned Thread" but that's about it. On the other hand, I don't think we need a movie thread...to me, the offtopic forum IS the movie thread. Thus, I'm hoping for a food/drink win here...

I agree. If Classic Computing loses, then I hope it's because it was beaten by Food and Drink. If we have a Forum Du Jour about movies, I will be sorely disappointed.

Didn't we already have a classic computing FDJ? I voted for movies, btw, but all 3 are good choices.

I went with food & drink. After all, it's summer and hopefully some good grilling suggestions would come up.

I just voted for classic computing, and it looks like my vote made it an exact 3-way tie. 52-all as of right now. The suspense!

Still a three way tie. We need some more votes for "food and drink"

I got the first post in classic gaming! :D My post was asking what classic computers you've owned. I see now some older posts that happened to be about classic computers are now being moved over here to this forum...
