I went to Walmart tonight wanting to pick up another one of those bucket seats and they were out, so instead I got some other goodies:
Ultimate Avenger
Ultimate Avenger 2 (Just came out @ midnight today!)
Street Fighter II the Animated Movie

I also picked up Viewtiful Joe 2 for $14.44 or whatever as well. Impulsive buy there.

On a side note, bought some watch made by Bum Equipment. Man, hadn't heard of their brands in years so just had to get it since I needed a watch and the ones behind the glass counter were locked up for the night.

I bought that game knowing there was alot of bad talk about it.I usually look for the good in games that get a bad rap.I found the music to be top notch but the game is really bad.Its worth 4 bucks for the music alone..Even though you wont get to hear much as you wont get far.

Wednesday Flea....More Vendors then the usual few,.Didn't matter as none of them had anything in games.
Besides the usual way over priced(that's a rare system I'm selling thar!!) Atari 2600 system and misc NES games..

The Flea Markets have been stinking lately, and Kids selling games at Garage sales are out of thier Minds on Prices.

All I picked up yesterday was this handheld game for $1.00..

Here is are my Goodwill finds:

http://img214.imageshack.us/img214/9600/dsc00339withtextis5.jpg

It was half off plastic stuff today. Now the best find is this: A computer that is faster then mine for 15 dollars. It was an Emachines 2.6ghz Intel Celeron with 256mb RAM(that is less then mine) and a 40gb HD. Well I got home and tested it: Power Supply is shot. So I say well I am just gonna gut the good stuff and put it in mine. So now my comp is this compared to what it was:

Original:
1.8Ghz Intel Celeron
640mb RAM
40 GB HD
9250 ATI 256mb PCI

Now:
2.6Ghz Intel Celeron
640mb RAM
2 x 40GB HDs
9250 ATI 256mb PCI

I am so excited now I have room for games.

One more find:

http://img163.imageshack.us/img163/9237/dsc00342withtextpg6.jpg

SNES arcade stick for $2.50.

With all those games plus Dead Rising it put me over 300 games. I also have Unreal Championship 2 coming in the mail and Ninety Nine Nights coming next week.

Not the greatest find (and absolutely not the rarest), but I got a near-mint and extremely clean Genesis with all the hookups and two controllers for $14.99 at a local thrift. It also came with the Power Base Converter, which was the entire reason I bought it.

I've always wanted one of these, but I didn't feel like paying ebay prices because I knew I'd eventually find it in the wild. I wish it hadn't taken 8 years, but so be it.

They also had some incredibly common, loose NES/Genesis games, but they wanted $3.99 each. What gives? This is a thrift store, not GameCrazy. I love the arbitrary pricing for everything, but come on.

I got a encyclopediatic magazine of Retro games for £2, really nice presentation and good read, but saving for my holiday :)

Total Wars Era isn't my 'thing', I won it in a competition at the History Channel, nice people.

Woolies was having a 2 for £26 on DS titles, and seeing as Trauma Centre wasn't in the deal, I picked up two Phoenix Wrights.

Total Wars Era and the second Phoenix Wright will be going to GameStation for trade-in later this week, I'll use the approx £35 trade credit towards Saints Row on 360! :)

Happy finding people.

Some nice finds :) :

PS2 :
- Rez (PS2, sealed) (got it in a trade)
- Star Ocean : Till the End of Time strategy guide 7$

XBox :
- Arx Fatalix (XBox, complete) 15$

NES :
- Clu Clu Land (complete) 5$ (Finally ! I have half of the black box series complete :) )
- Jaws (complete) 4$
- Zelda 2 gray version (loose) 2$
- Little Mermaid (loose) 2$

Famicom :
- Holy Diver (loose) 4$

And it was at the end of July but this is a funny story :

I got a PSP 1.50 for 55$ :D It was a store that was selling the (in good shape) stuff that was returned to them since last year. I bought it and at home, I discovered that the PSP was the one I returned last year because of burned pixels LOL It still has my nickname on it ! It's missing the charger and the memory card, but I'll have one soon, so no problem. Until that time I'm using the memory card from my other PSP (who will now be upgraded without fearing of not being able to downgrade).

The others cost me a total of £3.98
I know theyre in horrid horrid condition but i wanted these purely for playing purposes, not display ;)

and boot sale finds.... not much, weather was shite, no transport, had to walk about 40mins to get there...

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v366/cauterize4/101-0166_IMGCustom.jpg

Still a Coleco Galaxian Tabletop, not the best condition but at £1.50 i cant complain... All i need now are some size C batteries!!! grrr!

5 Ps1 games at 5p each, YES! 5p each :D lol
Shame 2 of them are worthless and wont be played at all...

2 Game and Watches for £1.50 (further research into one unit needs to be made, ill do a separate thread)

Hamtaro, some Shump Plug n Play (tried, disliked, off to eBay) Mario & Tetris singles on tape (remix stuff), Dreamcast Mouse (New) and DC Mad Catz Light Gun

Overall i spent about £7 today... mostly disapointing, but not too bad considering the LCD/Handheld stuff in there :)

I went to the flea market for the first time since last year, and I found some pretty good stuff.

1 DC Controller - $1
Unreal Tournament (DC) -$5
Crazy Taxi (DC) - $5

Super Metroid (SNES) - $8
Super R-Type (SNES) - $8

The best part of the deal was a dreamcast system. He wasn't sure if it worked or not, but for 2 bucks I took a chance. Ordered some cables for it off ebay last night.

Dreamcast (system only) - $2

Aheh. Today was a weird day.

Bases Loaded (NES, boxed, no manual) - $1... has a sticker on the box, though :(

Sticker eh? I've recently aquired a few boxed NES games that had stickers on them. The good old blow dryer trick worked like a charm for me. You should heat that sticker up nice and good and it should peel off without taking the boxart with it. I recommend that you still peel slowly though, just to be safe.

My finds for the week:

http://img72.imageshack.us/img72/7007/im000414na0.jpg
8/10/06

At GameStop:

- Super Robot Taisen: Original Generation (GBA) $29.99

8/12/06

I went to EB with a $25 gift card that needed to be spent. I walked out with:

- R-Type Final (PS2) $10.79
- Castle Shikigami 2 (PS2) $8.99
- Gradius III & IV (PS2, finally, a complete copy of this elusive bastard) $15.29

8/13/06

The market finds were scarce, but i got some decent ones:

- Namco Museum Vol. 2 (PS1) $7
- Namco Museum Vol. 4 (PS1) $7
- Dino City (SNES, R6) $4
- World Heroes 2 (SNES) $3

I've actually been looking for a cheap hairdryer at the flea market, but everyone wants $10 or more for 'em! And $3 more if they test them! Stupid vendors.

Good finds on those Namco Museum discs, by the way! I love old Namco games and I'm actually surprised those were released stateside. :)

I went to a flea that I have not been to before(for you New Jersey folks, it was the Tacony-Palmyra Flea Market).

What I got:

CIB Beavis & Butthead for Genesis - $1

What I experienced for the first time:

The type of dealer most people encounter at nearly every flea market. The jerk of a vendor that overprices common stuff and won't let you look at half the stuff that he has. I asked a price on a game and he told me, then I went to look in a bag full of other loose games(game gear stuff), and he started flipping out, saying something about the stuff being the same price and etc. I couldn't understand him that well cause of his thick asian accent. :hmm: But he was one of the general "JERK" vendors, and that was the first time I have ever had to deal with one of those, needless to say I did not make a purchase.

At the Goodwill:

Sega Game Gear w/Bust-A-Move and Battery Pack $1.99
Batman: The Video Game (w/box) $0.99
Batman Forever (CIB) $0.99
Batman Revenge of the Joker (cart only) $0.99
Dinosaurs For Hire (cart only) $0.99
Jurassic Park (CIB) $0.99
Justice League Task Force (came in X-Men box. Have to go back and buy the x-man cart there tomorrow) $0.99
Primal Rage (CIB) $0.99

What's weird about the Game Gear is that I found it against the wall with all the other electronics (like the tv's, blenders, and stereos). They had another one in a glass display case (where they usually put the game systems, dvds, and camcorders) for $9.99. I guess they just price it with whatever price sticker they currently have in their pricing gun.
