I just received a "factory sealed" copy of Sonic Adventure from
Gamequest direct and noticed it was missing a sticker seal on the
spine. I know that they sell many reprints but does that confirm
that this game is one of them??

I can't answer your question but personally I'd wouldn't buy anything from GQD if I was against the idea of getting a reprint.

... I don't think factory-sealed DC games CAME with stickers. I think they were just shrinkwrapped.

There's only one facility on the planet that still has the capability of stamping GD-Roms...

besides, GQD only reprints when there's a profit to be made, i can't imagine a sealed sonic adventures would be worth the trouble.

Well, the game goes for $7 - $10 sealed. Soem people can sell 'em with BINs for $19.99, and others have sealed copies for $50-$70.

GQD wouldn't bother with such a common game.

Seeing that I don't buy from a lot of online stores like GQD/Gamestop/EB, could you explain the concept of a "reprint"? At least the way these companies do it. It seems like it could mean any number of things.

Recently GQD got permission to get some hard to find games (Rhapsody, Persona 2, Rez, Gitaro Man and a few other games that were going for good good money on ebay) reprinted by the publishers and infact the publishers were the ones that printed them so they are as official as can be. They then sold them on their site for a bit and then sold a good percentage of the copies to EB/GS where they started to sprout up like weeds in pretty much every store.

And to echo the above mentions about Sonic Adventure, no DC games came with a CD like seal on them. All any ever got was shrink wrap.

Kool, so its legit! I don't mind that it isn't worth anything, but sentimental
value is the key here. I haven't bought any disc games from GQD until now for fear of purchasing a reprint. The reprints then, are basically few in numbers I assume. Therefore the ps1 titles they carry should be all legit as well, even the higher priced joints($50-60).

How much did you pay for it

Yeah I picked up a copy of Rez awhile back. I got it due to the fact that it was rare and because I heard it was also a fairly good game. The question I have then is how do you tell if a copy is a reprint or not I am just curious.
