Are you sure its not Mega Man 1 and 3? Both the PC version are totaly different from the NES version. I havnt seen any listings of a Mega Man 2 for PC.

Yeah, that's what I meant....just wanted to make sure you're aware of their existance....as nobody else had mentioned them.

jajaja

Ye, i have both (multiply copies too ;)) games. You find them in the pictures on first page :) Would be cool if they made a Mega Man 2 for PC also, so it would be sorta a trioligy.

Funny thing: I only have ONE item that has anything at all to do with Rockman, an it's an old OST from 1989 or so that's not listed here. Capcom GSM Vol. 2, I believe. Also had the original Street Fighter soundtrack and some other stuff.

Some late replies from me hehe, but here goes:

HOLY MOLY!
INCREDIBLE COLLECTION!

And, to think that I thought I was lucky picking up a loose copy of the Gamegear Megaman game [for $4 ] last month.

Nice collection, agian.

Tnx :) $4 is a great price! I've seen they go much higher on Ebay.

Cool stuff, you have a picture? :) Theres alot of Rockman/Mega Man soundtracks/CDs, i havnt gotten many of them, atleast not yet.

Cool :) Thats actually a good GG game. Its playable, not too blurry screen like many GG games have. It has quite some blindspots tho, if you jump you might end up jumping into a hole or hit some spikes because you cant see the whole screen. Apart from that its pretty cool.

@jajaja - Hey I saw this thing was missing from your collection...

http://img.ruten.com.tw/s1/8/60/99/11080612917401_726.jpg

I've never seen it before...and haven't the faintest what it is..The box looks like any of the regular Rockman games...and it looks like it's a genuine CAPCOM release

But looking at those mini in-game pictures on the box - it looks more like Rockman Strategy style???

Do you or anyone else understand chinese? What might the title be, other than Rockman..?

Oh and if anyone's interested I have a spare copy of Rockman strategy...2 cds in Jewel Case and CD Booklet ONLY - missing Box and Book..but mint condition - and damn rare...

Will trade for anything rare I miss:

These are my no1 wants:

Mega Man Game Gear - only complete.
Rockman Collection the full box...pref sealed.

What I own:

All complete unless otherwise noted

NES / FC:

Mega Man 1-6 (NTSC)
Mega Man 1-5 (PAL) + Mega Man 2 (German Box)

Mega Man 7 (PAL)

Mega Man Soccer (NTSC)
Rockman Soccer (Jap)
Mega Man X3 / Rockman X3 (A true rarity, has cart, box, booklet and all papers of Mega Man X3 (NTSC), but when put into an NTSC SNES plays Rockman X3 in Japanese. I contacted Capcom about this - and the claim that ONE carton of misprints like this - was released to the public somehow, still sealed in Capcom seal on arrival to me)...

GENESIS / MD:

Mega Man - The Wily Wars (PAL)
Rockman Mega World (Jap)
Rockman X3 (Chinese Bootleg, no box or booklet)
Rockman X3 (Chinese Bootleg, no box or booklet) (different picture on cart)

WS / WSC:

Rockman & Forte (Jap)
Rockman EXE WS (Jap)
Mega Man Battle Chip Challenge (? dunno title) (Jap)

NGP:

Rockman - Battle & Fighters (Jap)

I won't go into the newer systems such as PS1, PS2, PSP, GBA, NDS, XBOX - but I have the essentials...

Unknown Rockman I have posted pictures from (Taiwan?)

Anyone got anything besides this and are willing to trade / sell...

Write me: emfanno1@hotmail.com, PM me or just write here...

And any comments on the above pictured game would be much appreciated...

Thanks

*i cut the quote alittle so it would be so long, but i have read everything you wrote just to underline that :)*

Wow, this gamelooks really nice!! Thanks alot for the info!!! :) I have never seen or heard of this myself either before you showed it to me know. Where did you find these pictures? I see that they are hosted on some taiwanese host so i guess that this game got released in Taiwan maybe?

It does indeed look like a genuine Capcom release. It looks like the disc is burned though (you can see a line on the disc that burned discs gets (do you know what i mean?), i dont think pressed discs has this line, or?), but still, it does indeed look like a genuine Capcom release.

About the Rockman Strategy style, i think i've only tested Rockman Strategy for maybe 15-30 minutes and that is over a year ago or something so unfortunately i dont rememember much from the game. But judging by the screenshots on back of this Rockman game you showed the pictures of i think it lookes like a real time strategy game (like Command & Conquer and Star Craft for example, that kind of game style) where you build stuff etc. You have a menu to the right there, like you have in some (or maybe all?) Command & Conquer games. However, there is a yellow frame and a plus sign on each of the screenshots on back of this box, i think it sorta looks like a camera or something, like someone is taking some pictures? Maybe its a game where you take pictures or something? (I doubt that thought, but i'm just throwing out some ideas here :)).

Hopefully someone can read the chinese (or maybe its Taiwanese? Maybe both China and Taiwan uses the same kanji (writing symbols), but i'm not sure, sorry) so they can translate this. Then we might know more about it. Thanks alot again for this info! :)

You have a great Mega Man/Rockman collection by the way! Congratulations on getting all those games! :) If you have some pictures feel free to post them in this thread, i dont mind that atleast :)

Wow, that's quite the collection.

*i double post so it is alittle more organized. I hope it is ok, if it isnt then i am sorry*

I just noticed something now in my first post in this thread and i need to make a correction, i wrote that the Rockman X4 Special Limited Edition for the Sega Saturn that i have was sealed (this Special Limited Edition also excist for Playstation 1 just to point that out, but i have the Sega Saturn version). The game inside the box is sealed, but not the box itself just to clearify that. I dont know if the box itself were sealed from the begining though, but maybe, anyone knows?

Thanks! :) I also think that the MM1 PAL box cover is better than the US cover :) I also think that the MM3 PAL box cover is pretty cool as well (to some extend atleast) :)

Quoting myself her due to another question about sealing, i just noticed that the Rockman 1-6 Box Set (or what i shall call it) for Playstation that i have is not sealed as well. The content is however sealed and brand new, but the box itself isnt sealed just to clearify that. Anyone knows if this box was sealed as well?

*triple post, sorry, but i try to keep things alittle more organized so its not a very long post*

I thought i'd take some pictures of some other Mega Man stuff i've bought since i posted the first pics. Not really anything rare (i think atleast) or anything though. I bought all this from www.Play-Asia.com except for the Rockman 20th Anniversary book, i bought that through Ebay, but i think that Play-Asia.com also has this book for sale on their site, atleast they used to have it. Maybe Play-Asia.com still has the other stuff here in stock that i show the pictures of here :)

http://pici.se/pictures/vKYWzxywD.jpg

Some Rockman 20th Anniversary book. It contains some info and drawings etc. Its on about 336 pages. This is the japanese edition, i think an english version of this book also excist, but when i was going to buy it i unfortunately didnt get my hands on the english version so i setteled for the japanese version instead :)

http://pici.se/pictures/kbTubKGgi.jpg

Rockman 1 and 2 for the Playstation. Its some special edition or something that was released in relatively recent time i think. These are some books where the game discs are on the last page of the books. I'm not quite sure what the books says since they are in japanese, but i think they are atleast the manual of the games or something, but unfortunately i'm not quite sure, sorry.

http://pici.se/pictures/CJhrPcNHy.jpg

2 Rockman games for GBA, i think its Rockman EXE 5: Protoman and Rockman EXE 6: Cyberbeast Falzar + 1 Rockman DS game which is Rockman Star Force: Pegasus or something.

4 folders with Mega Man/Rockman artwork on them. The picture shows 8 different artworks, but the folders have a different artwork on each side. I dont know how to describe what this is exactly, but it is some folder that you can put papers in etc. I think the size is to fit A4 sized paper or smaller.

As everyone said, AMAZING collection jajaja!
I love Mega Man games, I try to get all mega man games on snes pal (I have 2/4) and SFC (5/6) and I find it hard, just for the snes... so I can't imagine how much dedication you needed to get such a huge collection! o_O
I love Megadrive too and I've been looking for Wily Wars for years and I've never been able to find one, I still can't believe you have 4 of them!!! This picture SHOCKED me as hell. o_O
Thanks! :) Cool that you have some Mega Man games as well :) Which are you missing? Ye, i wonder why some of the Mega Man games for SNES are hard to get. I thought they should be pretty popular. Maybe peoeple in general got tired after 5 Mega Man games for NES (Mega Man 6 never made it to Europe unfortunately) and then didnt care so much about the Mega Man games for the SNES, i dont know :\

Maybe i wrote this earlier in this thread sometime, but i cant remember, but i was pretty lucky with getting the Wily Wars copies. Some guy in Italy sold some new copies (maybe around 6-10 copies or so) of Wily Wars on Ebay. I managed to get 2-3 of these :) Have you tried to check www.ebay.de (the german Ebay) for the game?

That bootleg remake looks pretty cool, so does the box for it indeed! I agree to that :) I hope that you will get it! :) About trading for it, unfortunately i dont value bootleg copies that. I mean, some of these bootlegs can be really cool to own and some of them are really nicely made, but i cant remember any Mega Man/Rockman bootleg game that i really want to get my hands on, so i dont think i have too much to trade for it, sorry. I want "Rockman 3" (i'm not sure what the exact title is) that was released in Brazil, but i'm not sure if that is a pirate or not. I already have "Rockman 2" from Brazil so it would be cool to have "Rockman 3" as well. Does any more Rockman games from Brazil excist by the way, does anyone know? I know that Mega Man 6 was released in Brazil as well, but that copy seems very legit (same artwork etc. as the USA version).

If you can get an extra copy of this Rockman & Crystal game i'm willing to pay you about 20 - 30 US dollars for it if that is of any interest :)

Well done mate....though the expression "bleeding a franchise dry" springs to mind hehe. I have always been a fan of megaman and would not have suspected there are so many titles in the series. Huge congrats on your collection. just out of curiosity how much do you rekon you've spent on the collection?

Great collection!
But you're missing some games like Rockman X3 or Rockman X4 for japanese Win 95 (well it seems you own the X4 unboxed)
Keep up the good work!
Thanks! :) Ye, i'm missing some of the different system release, like X3 for Win 95 as you mentioned, but my first goal was to get every game only. If i got a different system version (for example if i had both Mega Man X5 for Playstation and Sega Saturn) i considered it more as a bonus :) If the games are very different i would have to get both versions though, for example Mega Man 3 for PC and Mega Man 3 for NES are pretty much 2 different games eventhough they are called the same. So i had to get both of those games :) Do you know if there are any big difference in X3 for Win 95 compared to X3 for SNES, Playstation and Sega Saturn? Thanks again! :)

I'm missing Rockman 7 on SFC. Easy to find but I'm waiting for a good occasion.
I'm missing Mega Man X3 and Mega Man 7 on SNES PAL. I was lucky enough to get Mega Man X2 complete (PAL) for nothing on ebay because this one is usually pretty expensive too. But that was pure luck and I guess it won't happen anymore so I'll have to pay the (high) price if I wanna get the other 2. :(
Ah ok. Its nice to have pure luck so that you got Mega Man X2 for SNES for nothing, that is a great find i must say, congrats! :) Ye, unfortunately X2 and X3 for SNES are rather expencive, especially if the game is complete for box and manual :\ I payed 66 euro (about 104 US dollars) + shipping for my complete copy of X3, but that was over 3 years ago (12th March 2005, i just checked some old e-mail from Ebay :)). Today i guess its going for around 100 euro (about 156 US dollars) or something, do you know? I guess the price also depends on the conditon of the copy though. The manual for my copy got some wear on it there are some cheatcodes written on almost the last page and there is a barcode sticker on the front of the manual. Maybe this as been a manual that was included in a rental copy? Due to that it has a barcode sticker on it. But i dont know. Maybe the wear on the manual made this copy sell for alittle lower than usual when i bought it.

Thanks! :) Hehe ye, Mega Man has been pretty "milked" (or what i shall say). I guess there are something around 80-100 Mega Man titeled games released in about 20 years. I didnt know it was this many Mega Man games either before i started to collect them. Thanks again! :)

About how much i've spent on all these Mega Man games, to be honest i have no idea. I'm not even sure i know a ballpark figure, but if should guess i would say maybe 2000 US dollars. But i really have no idea, it might 4000 US dollars for all i know, i really havnt counted, sorry :\

I'm 99% sure that the Taiwanese version of Rockman X 4 PC is a bootleg. There's no mention of Capcom on the pictures you've posted.

That, and it's from Taiwan. :P

Also, I think there were TWO Rockman Arrange CDs, not one... *scratches head*

Actually there's a Capcom logo of the CD itself... But I too have my doubts about than Rockman X4, the design does not look very Rock.

My friend has given me the Info theat the title is "Rockman Gold Empire" and it's Monopoly style...was only released in Taiwan. Seems rare even there - I am on 3 different Taiwanese Auction sites more or less every day - and have only seen this once...

Also found a Wiki on the game if it's of any interest

http://megaman.wikia.com/wiki/Rockman_Gold_Empire

The Intro video is the VERY SAME as one in Rockman 8 - actually it even shows Rockman 8 in the end - do they think we're blind?

That's about it...for now...

Oh man that is a fantastic collection. I used to love the Mega Man games (it's probably my favorite franchise) but years of repetition in games got to me and now I'm sick to death of them.

That's one of the coolest focused collections I've ever seen though. The Misadventures of Tron Bonne is also one of the most underrated games ever made, IMO.

Nice stuff, man!!

Your collection STUNS ME! @_@

I have a pretty good one too.
Most of it consists of the Japanese toys, and American games, but I do have Ryuusei no RockMan Pegasus in Japanese.

Also, I just got this brand-new beauty in the mail today!
It only cost me $12.50. (Rarely do these go for lower than $70)

Yes, the Deluxe Berserker Star Carrier!

It comes with Subaru's pendant, a carrying case, design plates, and 4 Wave Cards!

-Gemini Spark SP
-RockMan Data
-Harp Note SP
-Berserker Thunder Blade Legend Card

(the data card and Berserker card are sparkly)

Now, all I have to do is get some batteries.....

As others have said on here: WOW!!! Nice job.

Are you jajaja by any chance the same person who submitted a photo of a MM collection to the magazine Player1 years ago? If so, bra jobbat!!!

They had a contest who could submit the best photo of their vg collection. Someone with a huge MM collection was one of the runner ups. I glanced at the photo and thought to myself that's not very impressive and then I realized that they were all MM games and my jaw dropped.

Two new Mega Man Starforce games plus a book by Prima called the Mega Man Star Force 2: Wave Command Card Kit. The book can be had at any Gamestop location and I would recommend buying it sooner than later as I don't expect this thing to last very long in their inventory before it gets pennied out and destroyed

I've got a sizeable MM collection but nothing nearly as encompassing as yours. There's a few holes but I've been too lazy/financially strapped to fill. I'm missing Mega Max X2 and X3 on SNES, both versions of Mega Man Battle Network 4 on GBA, and 5 of the last 6 DS entries (Mega Man Star Force Pegasus and Leo, the 2 new ones that just came out, and Mega Man ZX Advent).

Keep up the good work, this thread is full of win. :villagepeople:
