Curious as to whether or not there are other places doing Genny repros.

No doubt Mr. Death Adder could regale you with a tale of the immense expense and difficulty involved throughout the saga of producing Beggar Prince.

This looks like the game they were playing in that movie "Grandma's boy". That movie is frickin' hilarious.

Don't forget about Teenage Queen for the Genesis Megadrive from the Spoutnick team.

I loved to play this game on my Amiga 500 in college and the idea of being able to play it on a Genesis was enough for me to email them for my preorder interest.

Oh, we'll be back with more. You just need to give us some time. ;)

We had enough left over to buy a couple of tacos, though, so it all worked out.

Actually, Beggar Prince isn't a reproduction, it is a Homebrew. A reproduction is a copy of a game that has already been made, just FYI!

I saw that earlier that they had released the snes version, but the buy links seem screwed, and it doesn't say how much they are.

I prefer the term "commercially produced" to "homebrew". The Beggar Prince project was handled on a budget, employees were paid for their work, we professionally produced the materials (box, book, cartridges, etc.) from scratch and the final product stands comparable to the big-name company releases from the heyday of the Genesis.

Correct. The original game, Xin Qi Gai Wang Zi, was developed in Taiwan by our business partner C&E, Inc. Our work to produce Beggar Prince involved a complete translation of the game's script into English, a heavy (read: nearly complete) rewrite of said script, fixing the bugs that C&E had left behind in the original product, etc. etc.

Stated solely for correctness' sake.

I look forward to further work you folks do, thank you. I too am interested in any future homebrew projects for sega stuff. It seems to me that the Sega Cd might have a future as well.
