Woohoo, I'm usually looking for Atari stuff, but other gaming system interest me too and today I found somethng very cool. A prototype Odyssey3 system. Couple that with a protoype speech adapter and Power Lords cartridge and you can color me stoked. I just had to tell folks as I know absolutely nothing about this system. Excuse me now. I'm off to learn more and maybe even plug it in. Cheers all.

It's real. Finding one is certainly cause for celebration, but not unheard of. They're far more common than say a CX-2000 or Atari 2700.

Oh neat! I have a soft spot for Odyssey stuff since it was my first system. I've seen that power lords proto before though, we might have it around here somewhere.
I like all the colored "Odyssey" words :)

I'm stunned. Not just stunted, as many have speculated.

I echo Earl's sentiment. :)
According to Classic Consoles Center (http://www.dieterkoenig.at/ccc/), there are maybe 8-12 of these protos known to exist. I guess it's 9-13 now?
It proves two things... 1) there are still MAJOR finds waiting to be uncovered out there, and 2) I should have scoured Knoxville before moving out of the Midwest (since that's where most O3's have been found). Where'd this one turn up by the way?
