Ie Dracula X Sealed.

Or the Chaosseed OST.

What other rare CDs do you know?

I remember Polotop..something being quite expensive. It was from a famicom/md-RPG if I remember right.

there are literally hundreds of extremely rare soundtracks, too many to mention.

IMO sealed doesn't count. They reprinted the Drac X soundtrack and you could get it a year or two ago for $35 from gamemusic.com

Just off the top of my head:

Dracula New Classics
Super Metroid Sound In Motion
Actraiser Symphonic Suite

I know there's STACKS of $100+ soundtracks...more than are worth listing...and most of em blow too :) The ones above are good tho...have em all...maybe not LEGIT...but I have em. Soundtracks are one of those thinsg where they're SO rare and SO easy to DL from the net that there's almost no point to shelling out the cash for em. Especially when well over 50% of what's available to buy are bootlegs in the first place and none of the original makers are making a dime on em or reprinting em. Only about 30-40% of my soundtracks are legit, the rest are bootlegs. And that doesn't count DLed soundtracks which vastly outnumber the regular printed ones I have. I know there are a few hardcore collectors out there....I just can't justify paying that kind of cash myself for something I honestly won't enjoy THAT much. Most I've ever paid for a game soundtrack is maybe $25.

Three copies of Dracula New Classic were just on eBay...one was listed and sold for $89.

Down, price, down!

Mandarake has a nice selection of rare and overpriced game soundtracks. I might have a pic somewhere. Super Potato in Akihabara has almost a whole floor dedicated to them. So glad I hate game music.

I really want the Metal Gear 2 OST for my collection, but I'm not paying $150-$250 for it.

I have the Headhunter soundtrack, which isn't really rare. But it's signed by composer Richard Jaques.

Hey, I own the Goemon soundtrack from that photo! I had no idea it was worth that much! It seems surreal that a little disc is worth most of a month's rent, doesn't it?

IIRC, you might be able to snag a copy of the OST when it was bundled with the original Japanese "Metal Gear Solid" Premium Package.

From what I can remember, it has the MG: Solid Snake OST soundtrack as a bonus, as well as other goodies such as an artbook, the Japanese version of the game and some other items.

Those go for under $100, so you could try that route.
