Arasoi started a Castlevania thread a few months back with pictures of his collection. I thought it was a great idea so as I was taking pictures of my collection I decided to start threads about a few of my favorite series. First up, my favorite, The Legend of Zelda...

Here is a pic of my collection:
http://www.theretrogamer.net/temp/zelda/zelda-all-dp.jpg

It includes:
1) The Legend of Zelda (NES - complete)
2) The Legend of Zelda: Adventures of Link (NES - complete)
3) The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past (SNES - complete)
4) The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening DX (GBC - complete)
5) The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time (N64 - complete)
6) The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask (N64 - complete)
7) The Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Ages (GBC - with manual/no box)
8) The Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Seasons (GBC - with manual/no box)
9) The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past/Four Swords (GBA - complete)
10) The Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker (GCN - complete)
11) The Legend of Zelda: Collector's Edition (GCN - complete)
12) The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time/Master Quest (GCN - complete)
13) The Legend of Zelda: Four Swords Adventures (GCN - complete)
14) The Legend of Zelda: Minish Cap (GBA - complete)
15) The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess (Wii - complete)
16) The Legend of Zelda: Tips & Tactics guide (Nintendo)
17) The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening guide (Nintendo)
18) The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time guide (Nintendo)
19) The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask guide (Versus)
20) The Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Ages/Seasons guide (Nintendo)
21) The Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker guide (Prima)
22) The Legend of Zelda: Collector's Edition guide (Nintendo)
23) The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess guide (Nintendo)
24) The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess limited editon guide (Prima)
25) The Legend of Zelda Master Replica Collector's Set
26) The Legend of Zelda Nintendo Power DVD
27) The Legend of Zelda 'Second Quest' map

One thing not listed, but pictured here (http://www.theretrogamer.net/temp/zelda-classic.jpg) is my sealed The Legend of Zelda (NES - classic series).

I am a huge fan of the series and have every Nintendo Published game to date (not counting any remakes). I have no plans to ever get the CD-i ones, but I do have plans to collect some of the imports especially the famicom disk, famicom and super famicom versions. I also am searching for more guides.

Anyone else got pics of their Zelda collection? How is it shaping up? I hope to see some fabulous pictures!

What do you guys think of the collection I started?

Enjoy!

Very nice! sweet collection you have. :D
I don't have any pics of my collection as of yet. As far as Zelda goes though (I'm also a fan BTW) I have so far,
The Legend of Zelda NES (loose gold cart)
The Legend of Zelda: NES Adventures of Link (loose gold cart)
The Legend of Zelda: SNES A Link to the Past (loose w/ inst.)
The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time N64 (loose)
The Legend of Zelda: Four Swords Adventures GCN (complete)
The Legend of Zelda: Minish Cap GBA (complete)
The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess GCN (complete) and GCN Prima Guide

Used to have the GBC versions before I started collecting so I'll eventually get those again and also get complete versions of the ones I have loose.

Don't forget those awful cartoon DVDs (Sorry, I hated the cartoon) and a bootleg tape of the Captain N episode with Link in it. And a Nintendo SMB/Zelda cereal box.

I have a set of brand-new condition Zelda bath towels/washcloths, need to get some of those! And you need the board game, and those little plastic trophies, and the old T-shirts with link skateboarding up a wall. (I always wondered why the hell he was skateboarding) And a Legend of Zelda hat, and a Zelda Game N Watch, a set of Zelda stickers, and anything else I can think of.

Anyway, my collection consists of-

Legend of Zelda + Manual -NES (loose)
Zelda II -NES (loose)
A Link to the Past -SNES (loose)
Ocarina of Time -N64 (loose) (hated it)
Zelda I & II GBA classics (complete)
Zelda towels

And thats it. I lost interest in the games after A Link to the Past.

I have a ton of zelda stuff, but this is my most prized item of my collection currently:

It's still sealed might I add and I'm still trying to get the illusive zelda gameboy camera and hopefully some betas.

It was nice to have a Europe exclusive on that ;)

(and I did buy one for myself, and one for a member of these boards)

@Ckendal - so just missing the original GB (non-color) version and those lovely CD-i games I see :)

Nice collection! :)

About the limited Zelda Minish Cap GBA set, there is also a more limited set of this. It was a price in some contest afaik and only 300 excist. It contains a GBA, the Zelda:MC game and a t-shirt (i think, atleast some fabric) and a certificate saying which number (i.e. 125/300) the set is. I've seen it for sale 2 times. I was trying to win it, but in the end it went to around $500, which was too much for me :\

What's the big gold box in the lower right corner?

That is the Master Replica Set that was exclusive to Target. It has a 1/6th scale replica of the Master Sword and Hylian Shield. It also included the Twilight Princess soundtrack.

No chance of a pic just yet (until I move and unpack) but off the top of my head I do own the following Zelda stuff (ALL complete)...

LttP original (non-million seller) SNES
LttP + 4 Swords GBA
Link's Awakening Color GBC
Oracle of Ages and Seasons GBC
Both Cube older compilations
Wind Waker Cube US and JPN
Twilight Princess Cube US and JPN
Four Swords Cube US and JPN
The Japanese GBA/Famicom cross over anniversary release
Ocarina of Time N64 both collector's and ordinary editions
Majora's Mask N64
Minish Cap/Gold GBA SP release (as picture above)

Aside from the NES releases and the CD-i games, the only actual thing I really want is the dual Cube WW/OoT double pack release. Still hunting that for a reasonable price.

Here's a list of what I have (I don't have access to a digital camera at the moment):

NES:
-The Legend of Zelda (cart only, gold cart)
-Zelda II: The Adventures of Link (cart only, gold cart)

SNES:
-A Link To The Past (w/manual, non-Player's Choice)

Gamecube:
-The Legend of Zelda Collector's Edition (complete) - This was the first Gamecube game I bought
-Wind Waker (sealed, non-Player's Choice) - I plan to open this up and play it soon.

Game Boy Color:
-Link's Awakening DX (loose)
-Oracle of Ages (complete)
-Oracle of Seasons (complete)

Game Boy Advance:
-The Legend of Zelda (Classic NES Series) (complete)
-A Link To The Past/Four Swords (cart only)

Other:
-Ocarina of Time official soundtrack

So there you go. Not as impressive as some, but at least I can play everything up to Minish Cap.

EDIT (12/26/07): Added NES games and the Ocarina of Time soundtrack. Also added the GBA port of A Link To The Past, which I had when I originally posted this, but left out for some reason.

(trouble with most Nintendo Zelda collectors, they complain about the CDi titles without ever having played them (when asked, most don't even own a CDi console)). Zelda's Adventure is excellent

you gotta have the CDi Zelda's, without them your Zelda collection is incomplete:

See I don't own a CDi, nor do I have any of the CDi Zelda's, but I did play all 3 a while back and I did not like them at all. It was truly a crime that these games were even made.

Ah another excellent collection/discussion thread. Nice pics, you guys. Every nice.

My collection consists of these:

-The Legned od Zelda (I foolishly traded in my gold cart version)
-Zelda II: The Adventure of Link (Gold cart, baby)
-Zelda: A Link To The Past (Non-player's choice)
-Zelda: Link's Awakening DX
-Zelda: Ocarina of Time (Gold!)
-Zelda: Majora's Mask (Friend GAVE this to me)
-Zelda: Oracle of Seasons (Complete)
-Zelda: Oracle of Ages (Complete)
-Zelda: Wind Waker (Player's Choice)

How's Minish Cap? I haven't gotten around to buying it. Also, I've yet to open up my Zelda Ages/Seasons games. They've been sealed since 2002.

I saw some friends play Twilight Princess about a month or so ago. Game looks sweat. They were playing the Wii version but I'll probably buy the GC version.

And I just gotta say, it still irks me to this day that Zelda II still takes criticism for being so different from the first NES Zelda. Good grief, so many act like it is a crime for the game to be different from most of the series. I liked the 2D side scrolling gameplay elements and I thought Zelda II's music was much better than the first, but I guess that's a given.

All of Capcom's Zelda games have been very good actually (The Oracles, Minish Cap and 4 Swords Adventures). Almost as good as Nintendo doing them inhouse.

The Oracle games and 4 Swords were pretty good, but Minish cap, IMO, was great! It was definitely the best of the 4 Capcom games. It was just too bad that it was too short.

Ironically I was going to do this shortly as I am in the process of grabbing the last few factory sealed Zelda's that I need but I saw this thread and thought what the hell
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v695/drewbrim/ce674.jpg

Everything is factory sealed except for the Link's Awakening for the original Gameboy, the Metroid Prime/Windwalker combo, and SNES LTTP is sealed but has a "not for resale" sticker underneath and doesn't have the seam on the back. So I'm not really sure how that one came to be.

And yes I did have the first Zelda complete but I sold it recently when I though I had worked out a deal for a factory sealed one. As soon as come acquire that and a Sealed Link's Awakening I'll pick up the two versions of Twilight Princess, and that should be good enough for me. We'll see about Zelda's Adventure ;)

Great collections everyone!

I think it was a Gamecube pack-in at one time. It looks legit enough, with the whole "not for resale" language on the back. Here's another pic.

You should! It is quite the center piece and looks awesome!

Targets apparently are clearancing them, if you can find them, for $25. They were originally $40. Fortunately I bought 2 the day they came out and put one on eBay before it was flooded with them. Sold it to someone in the UK for $100.

Oh, I should make a quick stop over there then before work or ask my friend who works there to see if they got any left! This point I'd buy 2- one to open and one to keep mib.

My collection is pretty meager compared to the others here, but my sister did draw some cool Zelda art for me over the years, so I thought I would post that as well:

Join the fight ;)

Though I do run into the Canadian version every so often, I'm not interested in it as I only want the (seemingly rarer) US version.

Any Idea what's the difference between the Canadian Version and US Version of Wind Waker/Ocarina/Master Quest combo?

I see it a fair bit and always assumed they were exactly the same.

They are the same game wise. The Canadian version has French added to the inlay and the manual. All my US Cube collection are US versions bar Donkey Konga and Digimon Arena 2 that are dual language only. Just keeping it pure English here ;)

Sorry if someone has mentioned this already, if so I missed it: is anyone interested in the First4Figures Zelda statues that are coming out? I've never been into collecting figures and such, but those look incredible. Unfortunately, the prices are incredible too! LOL

Yeah I preordered the Link one coming out, I am glad they are taking their time and fixing the face. Should be even better now. I also really like the Skull Kid, I may pick that one up too.

Man, alot of you have really nice stuff!

I've got some of the Zelda games, but not all:

The Legend of Zelda (Gold)
Zelda II: The Adventure of Link (Gold)
Link's Awakening (Not Color)
Oracle of Ages
Ocarina of Time
Majora's Mask
Windwaker (just bought that for my son a couple of days ago)

I think that's all. I'd like to get my hands on Link to the Past, because I remember having a blast with it a long time ago.

Compared to you guys my Zelda collection is small but I didn't get into Zelda until I was in grade eight.

Oracle of Ages- Have the manual, cart, and box somewhere.
Oracle of Seasons (x2)- Same as Oracle of Ages but my sister has a copy that she got for a birthday that I think is in my room somewhere. I kept my box I don't thinks she did.
Oracle of Ages/Seasons strategy guide- The Nintendo power one
Oracle of Ages/Seasons strategy guide- The Brady games one
A Link to the Past (GBA)- Wow this was my second Zelda game, got it in grade nine when I got my GBA and didn't finish it until grade 12. I know I have the box and manual for this.
The Legend of Zelda: The Windwaker- It was cheap when I got it 15CAN new so I figured why not. I played through it during the summer and then my sister lost the memory card on which the game was saved on.
The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess (GC)
Minish Cap- Came in as a pack in with my GBASP and that is the reason I bought it at Walmart.
Classic NES series: Zelda II: The Adventure of Link
Also I have had my boyfriend's copy of Zelda for NES for probably six months or so that I am just going to call it mine...it's funny because we recently just beat the first two dungeons together. I don't think he'll be getting this back anytime soon.

I also have a sizeable Zelda collection, although I regret getting rid of a few of my earlier games (Link's Awakening and I also had a sealed NTSC U Link To The Past which I sold) ~ Also missed out on the golden coloured Zelda GBA SP too which I am still kicking myself over, as it was always full RRP, and I was too tight to fork out £90 for it seeing as I already owned three GBA's.

Here's an old pic of my collection, Circa May 2006

Not a lot to look at back then, but I have filled it out considerably since. I'm just waiting to add Phantom Hourglass to my collection, and i'll update my pictures to include all the other Zelda games I have gotten recently, including Twilight Princess

Hello! I have a few Zelda related items I was wondering the relative rarity of (and this looks like a good place to ask)...in my collection I have a Minish Cap demo cart (in-store demo cart, gives a choice of three different areas you can choose to explore), and the Twilight Princess E3 Press Trailer, for Nintendo DS. This is one of my favorite things in my collection, it's this Nintendo DS card that plays a trailer for Twilight Princess. I can't think of the year it was given out to the press, but it's a video of Twilight Princess before it was pushed back (with the old Twilight World that is black and white).

Wow, this is a cool thread. I'll have to get some pictures this week of my Zelda collection. You folks might like some of the customization I've done with it.

I think it was a Gamecube pack-in at one time. It looks legit enough, with the whole "not for resale" language on the back. Here's another pic.
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v695/drewbrim/ce675.jpg

I recently got a copy of this but I'm not sure what should be included to make it "complete" as when I bought it the clerk said he took it in only with the Zelda disc. No manual. I bought it along with a copy of Metroid Prime and stuck the Prime disc and paperwork in it. Were the discs in this thing the same as the normal ones? What about the manual? Was it a single manual that covered both games or were there just two separate ones?

The Zelda/Link CDi titles are actually official licensed from Nintendo for Philips CDi

I'm also looking for information regarding this. Someone around here told me a while back they thought it was part of a promotional thing through Nintendo power. And some other people thought I photoshopped it.

Why multiple copies of Zelda 2 if I can ask?

One of them was mine as a child and the other one is very mint and I got it cheap. I don't have multiples of games usually but I can't let myself get rid of a boxed copy of Zelda for some reason.
