So my one year wedding anniversary is tomorrow and i bought my wife a pink ds lite and yoshi's island.Im hoping she doesnt hit me in the head with it when i give it to her lol.Actually though she plays some of my old nes games alot and she played ps2 when we had one.She also told me she wants to get a snes and yoshi's island(maybe thats what i should have got her)..i think shell like it.
The question....i dont really know anything about the ds or what games are good or what. She likes Mario games sometimes and tetris. She also plays friday the 13th on nes though and she loved the katamari games. Is there a hello kitty game? anyhow ..anyone got a recommendation for more games to get her?
Tetris DS is a must for any Tetris fan and if I recally corectly, there is a Hello Kitty game for the DS.

The New Super Mario Bros. and Clubhouse Games are great. My wife plays our DS more than I do, it is sometimes hard to get it away from her so I can have a turn.
As previously stated, Tetris DS is a great game as well.

I love Cooking Mama, although if I bought that for a woman, I might look like a misogynist.
Super Princess Peach is an awesome game, and it has a similar feel to Yoshi's Island.
There are a ton of other DS games that I really enjoy, but I'm not sure what genres would interest your wife. I also like games like Phoenix Wright and Final Fantasy 3 and Trauma Center, but they might not be for everyone, I guess.

Don't forget that the DS can play Game boy advance games too. There are plenty of games like mario and such on the GBA. I recommend Elite Beat Agents, I had a lot of fun with that. New super mario bros is one that everyone enjoys too.

Hope this isn't a dumb question, but did you get her the GBA rerelease of Yoshi's Island or Yoshi's Island 2? Get whichever one you didn't get. And definitely get New Super Mario Bros. and Tetris DS. Zoo Keeper and Meteos may also be good if she's really into the puzzlers.
There is a Hello Kitty game on the GBA. I'm not sure if it's any good though.

There's a game called Catz...is that any good? Also, since the DS does play GBA games and she likes Mario, you could get her the GBA version of Super Mario World...and possibly also the GBA version of Super Mario Bros. 3.

My wife has been using the DS (I had to buy her her own!) for:
Animal Crossing Wild World
Cooking Mama
Clubhouse Games
New Super Mario Bros.
Touch Detective
Lost in Blue
Sprung (She LOVED this one!)
And is mildly interested in:
Trace Memory
Feel The Magic & Rub Rabbits
Kirby's Canvas Curse
Big Brain Academy
Mario Kart DS
Hope that helps!

Way to go! Definitely get her the GBA rerelease of Yoshi's Island at some point. It has some exclusive bonus levels, and it's only $20 new.

You really should look into getting Tetris, PuyoPop Fever and Bust-A-Move for the DS and they're all multi-cart so just 1 copy would suffice.

Cyber I love your signature image. Was that one of the unlockable videos from the game?
