A wee Wii problem

A friend of mine has a small problem with his Wii:

"I accidently changed it to 480p and I don't have a 480p tv. This also results in me not being able to navigate any menu to change it back."

I was wondering if there was an easy way to change it back without using an HDTV.

What kind of cables are you using? I had this same problem and I think I switched from component back to composite and changed it that way.

Have him call Nintendo, they took the time to help me fix it.
