The Sunday ad circular advertises: Buy CoD4 (360 version) get CoD3 (360) for free. While supplies last. It was reported that CC's were getting in extra CoD3 stock, so just show them your receipt. If they don't have anymore CoD3's, you're out of luck.Originally Posted by FAMOUS

Just got off the phone with CC and they said they didnt get any additional stock of cod3 for the deal so they took what they had in stock "4-5" and gave them out day of, so the rest of us get screwed out of the deal.. what, i dont see how this was over looked?
I just picked this up for 360 and WOW am I enjoying the single player campaign. Very very good work from Infinity Ward once again.
For those who've been playing the SP campaign, did you absolutely love the "Death From Above" mission? Kickass!
I agree...it's incredible. For those who haven't played it, "Death From Above" is a nighttime gunning mission from an AC-130 gunship. You can cycle between 3 onboard weapons and take out various targets on the ground. The entire mission is in the perspective of the "black & white" night vision that you see time to time on various programs about Iraq or Afganistan. Example...
The missions realism is enhanced by the humorous pilot banter and various radio communications. This could be the best "level" in any game this year. Fucking spectacular.
Anyway, multiplayer is amazing. My 360 was getting repaired when the CoD4 beta was going on, so I never got a chance to play it. I played last night for about 3 hours. Excellent, well balanced and so much fun (I love the RPG-type leveling up). They even have the patented Halo melee attack. I love this game.

By far the coolest level of the game, kinda slows it down a bit which is a-ok with me
Alot of ppl are saying "eh do we need need another war game" but I can honestly say there's a strong market for them. COD4 hasn't even been out for a week yet and already there's a ton of ppl playing it. I was on til 3 in the morning last night and it was still full.
For as many ppl who say these games suck there's probably 3-4 that love them.
This game is awesome and the multiplayer is spectacular.
At times COD 4 makes other games seem so slow and primitive.
I LOVE the multi-player and for that reason alone it should get game of the year. However, the single player campaign was TOOOO short (but good) and I still think Bioshock should get game of the year overall even though it didnt have a multiplayer.

Agreed. I'm having more fun with the multiplayer on this than either Halo 3 or Team Fortress 2. Great game.
No, it's available from Amazon, Best Buy and Circuit City as well, but only online. Not sure if this will be available to indy game shops through a big distributor or not.
Actually, it really worked for about an hour or two until Circuit City corporate realized they had misprogrammed the computers nationwide. They immediately sent out a correction to stores and in the interim, most stores were manually processing COD4 at $29.99 and COD3 at $29.99 for the price to work. Not sure if you can return COD3 if you got it rung up this way. I don't know of any midwest or west coast stores where this worked, but I do know a couple of people who got it in various east coast stores for this price right at opening and they posted the receipts to prove it.
After reading all this... I CANT WAIT TO GET MY COPY! Amazon, hurry up!
I loved COD2/3 on XBOX 360... picked up 4 on the PS3 to play it online with my coworkers ( hows that for a bunch of Navy officers to spend their nights after work, playing Army soldier online with each other!) I hope the PS3 version doesnt let me down... id have to have to buy it on 360 too!

Just bought the game, and finished the second stage.. Jesus Christ, this game is tight!! And the gfx are about as realistic as I've yet to see on the 360.
But in all honesty, this feels more like a Tom Clancy game, than a Call of Duty game.
What platform are you guys playing COD4 on? I'm still undecided about which version to get, PS3 or 360?
I'm playing the 360 version and it runs silky smooth. From what I've seen, the 360 and PS3 versions look and run pretty much the same so it comes down to preference. I prefer LIVE so I can easily get into matches and invite friends.
Loved the "Death from Above" level!
They both look VERY close to me, so for me it was 360. I like the 360 controller a lot more than the sixaxis, plus there's a little thing called achievements in the 360 version. I love achievements.
I'm playing it on the 360, and I'll be damned if this game doesn't blow away practically every 360 game away (graphically), to date.
Yes, even BioShock.
The animations are very fluid, and the framerate looks like it's chugging out a constant 60fps. I have gotten into some pretty intense firefights (I decided to play the game on 'veteran' from the get-go), and not one hint of slowdown. And this game is definitely another reason why every gamer should have an HDTV.
The opening credits (where you're taken for a ride in the car) looks like a damn tech demo, all by itself...
