River City Ransom Help!

I'm at the gates of River City H.S., and I can't get Ivan to come out! What am I doing wrong? I've already beaten all the guys on the screen.

You probably missed a boss somewhere along the way. There are a few that appear out of order. The thing is, you can go all the way to the High School at the end without killing all the bosses, so you'll probably have to backtrack.

I would check Sherman Park - it's the park off the top of Sticksville, towards the beginning. That's one of the easy ones to miss since you have to backtrack to it.

I tried that, but I can't jump the gap inside the warehouse with the teleport doors. I guess I'll just have to start from the beginning again

EDIT: From the FAQ: It's important to note that it IS possible to make it back across the chasm
without jumping into the pit, but you'll need a crate or trashcan to do so.
On the upper floor, stand so that you're positioned with the left-most edge
of your character's sprite is aligned with the left end of the right-hand
door frame (if that makes any sense XD), and throw the crate/trashcan to
the left; it should come to a rest at the edge of the ledge. Use it as a
platform to do a running jump from, and you'll make it back across.

There's something nagging in the back of my mind that says you may not have to start over, but I can't be for sure. You did beat the guy on the platform in the room right after the room with the teleport doors right?

There are also a few bosses that you don't need to beat to advance. They're just there for extra money.

Me and my brother ran into the same thing playing this game. The best part is with two people it is still fun to back track. BY your self I can see where it would be a pain.

Did you beat the boss in Sherman Park? Its the park in the very begining of the game, you have to go back there are some time in the game.

Just up your speed and jump stats! Its posible to just run and jump over it.

find where you have to go that is the only way to play any game. If I just started going to every online guide out there then I would never have any suprises.

Once I saved up enough money to get all the upgrades at the hidden shop, the game was a breeze.

Yes, I have beat this game more times than I can count. I'm not sure what the stats are called specifically. (speed is one of them i think) If you increase the stats high enough you can make the jump, I have made it myself many times before.

If I remember right, isn't that jump a lot easier to make if you DON'T have the Acro Circus power-up? I think that is part of the problem because most people have already bought it by that point in the game. I could be off here since I haven't played RCR in 8 months or so. Unless I'm mistaken, your jumps are a little higher without it and you get further distance. It is really good for beating Benny and Clyde while they are standing still and talking but I don't usually buy Acro Circus or Javelin Man (that power-up sucks, IMO).

I agree. In fact, I didn't even bother with any of the shoes or Dragon Feet. Punching's where it's at, and then once you get Grand Slam you're pretty much invincible.
