Still Around...Still Gamin'...
Is that a new record for speed or what? Next you'll see people whipping out laptops to post from the freakin' expo floor.
Is anyone REALLY surprised?? I would bet that only 1/2 of the folks standing in line for the exclusives are truly excited about owning the cart... the rest, well, the results are forever preserved in eBay auction records.
I say we find this guy and set fire to his stuff :P

This has four of them (one from last years show), all with a BIN of only $199.99 each. How much were these at the show?
I didn't check the prices on any of those games (none of them were much fun), but I did see elevator action available for sale this year.
I'm waiting to see if the Voice Enhanced Berzerk 2600 cart will show up. Berzerk-VE was only $20, and sold out VERY quickly. I picked one up due to the coolness factor and the price, I'm considering ebaying it during the holiday buying frenzy.
Does dreamtr still think nobody is on to the fact that he is bubblesluv? It's not like I'm one of those people who run around tracking his activity, but it's pretty obvious from the picture quality and description being exactly the same as his other auctions.
Well I know for a fact it isn't DreamTR but his girlfriend. He dragged her along for the ride and I sure she was thrilled to death to stare at video games all weekend long. I can't blame her for trying to make something out of the deal.
In fact I can't blame anyone for selling a product they know is in demand. I don't understand why its such a big deal. To me its nothing but a compliment that collectors are willing to pay so much for these homebrews.

I might auction a couple that I got, but that's only if they don't work properly on PAL systems of course...
You think he would have traded it for a VecCaves, which he needs....
If anyone puts up one of the new speech Berzerks let me know! :P

It's one thing when someone sells a CGE (or PhillyClassic) exclusive and the price goes through the roof because of some insane bidder. It's another one when someone obviously tries to cash in on the phenomenon and hikes up the price tag to make a huge profit. Wanna bet that the reserve is close to the BIN?
The only thing that bugs me is when a game is a CGE exclusive and people like myself who can't make it out to Vegas for the show have to go through these profiteers to get the goods. That's not a knock against the homebrew authors, who I think have every right in the world to make as many or few games as they want and sell them wherever they want.
It just makes me sad to know that there are people out there who buy the games not to enjoy them but to turn around and make a profit from people who couldn't be there. I'm sure that's got to be frustrating for the people who make the games as well, or maybe they do take it as a compliment, I don't know.
It's a free market economy, what are you going to do? *shrug*
I'll be selling the copy of "Space Treat" I got at CGE, but only because it doesn't work properly on a PAL system
And I'll only be asking the price I paid for it also...
That sucks. Luckily my TV has no problem displaying PAL or NTSC signals. I'll be bidding on that when you put it up!

To paraphrase from his description:
Sheesh!I am still here in Las Vegas where the Classic Gaming Expo 2002 just ended....
so I am not able to add an actual photo right now.
Oh good LORD.. You can still get Save The Whales from Sean Kelley!!
Are there limits as to how many copies of a homebrew game a single person can buy at these shows? I would think that setting a maximum amount to each person would help against "scalping"
