I doubt it is, if they're charging any kind of fee or taking money for pre-orders. Still, interesting to see the flood of NEW SEALED copies on Ebay now. The going rate has dropped because of it, makes me wonder why people even try selling them when there's five other listings going on.
I remember a long time ago Capcom making another run of Megaman 1 cartridges due to high demand years after it was originally sold, 1991 or 92, I think.
it's probably old stock rediscovered. happens allllll the time. some warehouse sits on a stack of games for a bit (due to multiple factors), a distributor comes up with them after a while, and the prices drop like a stone tied to your wallet. it's not a "i gotta make a shitload of money on this thing on their part", although i think retailers are paying between $14 and $20 for these wholesale (may be a bit less, but i doubt it). still, at 30 bucks, it's a lot less than the $75-$125 this was going for at one time on ebeg...
So you think it's legit, which is good (I put in for a copy). But geelw, did you go to the site? They say that it's a new 5,000 copy pressing. Did you miss that, or do you think it's bull?

Hmm I dunno about that one. Megaman 1 for NES is one of the holy grails in Nintendo collecting if you can find a sealed copy. In fact I don't think one has yet to be discovered by Nintendo collectors. If it was re-issued there would be a couple copies at least.I remember a long time ago Capcom making another run of Megaman 1 cartridges due to high demand years after it was originally sold, 1991 or 92, I think.
Can anyone verify this either way?
Adam
I can only relay my personal experience, I bought a copy new from Toys R Us around that time and the employee explanation was that they were able to order more stock from Capcom due to high demand. Could have been new-old stock.
