Default Looking to get Touchmaster DS

For some reason I am intrigued especially for the online tournaments. Anyone else buying this?

I did get today. All I have to say is it's just like the arcade we had here a while back. All the high scores are posted via wifi. Tournaments and competitions will happen. Very nice for those who don't and can't spend time on all those lengthy DS games.

This is what I am talking about. I loved the days where we competed in the live arcade here in DPland. I know xbox live does similar, but this is fun. I am Danthman, I tried to be Hughjazz but it wouldn't allow me.

I looked at Wal~mart and Target today and did not find the game in stock. Crystal Balls is my 2nd favorite puzzle game (Tetris is 1st). Can't wait to play this online.

It's great for one timers. Also if you are not in a wifi area, you can send the scores later all at once.
One thing I don't like about MKart online is no pause when my kiddos or wife need something. Also the top 10 list is great to check out. Here's my two handles so far (you can have 8 I think) DANTHMAN and BEEOTCH

I hate to be an advocate on the game, but I figured more dp'ers would be playing this due to our competitive nature from the flash games earlier. Picked mine up at BestBuy on 6/25 (one day early )

My wife RULES at Crystal Balls (I think her high score is over 290k). We have an Infinity upright at home, but I'm still really tempted to get this for the online leaderboards, etc. Looks really good.

Competition is getting stiff. I think I have a couple of 1st's now.

So this is based on bartop style touchscreen games? neat. I wish those things would get emulated, I'd like to have one or something like it, but you'd spend a crapload of cash on just one machine... i'd rather buy a touchcreen monitor and run a MAMElike emulator instead...

I love this game and like dcescott has said, it's great to just pick up and play. I can't really get into the long DS games that take hours and hours so this is great. I am JER for the online high score board but don't have many high scores and definately nothing in the top 10. I have been hooked on the Solitaire for some reason, both the 1 flip and 3 flip versions. I need to get into the other games too. There is another neat "bar-type" game like these out there called Quick Shot where you find the differences in two pictures which my kids love. It's not nearly as good as this and just has the one game but if you see it cheap, you may want to check it out.

Can you play any of these games online, or is do you just post the scores?

Picked this up over the weekend, along with Nervous Brickdown. Looking forward to trying them both.

Online for scores and tournaments my friend. The game is so ggod my friend bought a DS yesterday, we've been playing two player Target 21 and Triple Elevens. I go, then he goes, but when it's not your turn, you see his moves and of course we egg each other on.
When his wifi gets house ready, we'll do the competition thing. His wife wants one now too!
Here's the funny part, he's dislecsic (I spelled it wrong, so am I right?) and he's beating me 7 out of 10 easliy.
Here's some of my new names:

Creative right? ..... I need to get out more!

After reading this thread and doing a little cursory research I went ahead and ordered myself a copy from Amazon. Looks great!

I've said it elsewhere and I'll say it again here they need to release a mature version with the nude photo hunt game.

I bet a Playboy-licensed Touchmaster DS would sell like crazy. The coin-op Infinity's had an operator setting that let them adjust the nudity level per-hour. So if you wanted bikinis & underwear-only from 6am-8pm, boobs from 8pm-midnight, and full-nudity from midnight-6am you could do it. It was a pretty cool feature. If they did it for consoles instead of the DS they could use the console's ESRB settings. Of course, the Playboy license is probably prohibitively expensive now, so I'm not holding my breath, and the ESRB would probably give it an AO anyways.

Lemme tell you how addicting this game is. A friend of mine bought a DS esp for this game. He is also buying one for his wife next month so he can play his more. Another kid at my church got a hold of the game and promptly bought it that night. It's that good. the reviews weren't good, but you really need to overlook the quality of the graphics to the addicting gameplay. I am 35 w/ two kiddos and 2 jobs and don't have time to play a long winded game, this is a great pick up and play title when I have some downtime.
