Thats my new TV. It was free. For some reason, my arcade games look really good on it.

Hit the garage sales over the weekend and didn't find much I was looking for. A few PS1's with crap games but no memory cards. This is pretty much all I picked up on that trip:
SNES: Nintendo Brand Cleaning Cart complete: $2
Today one of my co-workers brought in her family's Atari 2600, controllers and a couple games that her mom found while cleaning. A while ago she asked if I'd be interested and I said sure. Told her I'd give her some Xbox games for her kids in trade (she would have given it to me for free but it didn't feel right). This is what I eyeballed as I put it into my van (I'll edit and complete when time allows):
Video game storage center:Amber/brown plastic cover with black base. Is currently housing two Atari brand joysticks, the system and power supply.
Atari 2600 4-Switch "Darth Vader"-looking practically brand new.
Atari Brand joysticks: also looking brand new. Did they ever PLAY this thing?!
Atari Paddles
Two "flight grip" style controllers
Moon Patrol (complete in box)
The other game looked as if they either bought by mistake or was included in some big sale at some point:
Atari 7800 Mean 18 Ultimate Golf-Complete in box and mint. The cellophane was opened but that was it.
I was cleaning out my basement today when I found the following 2600 games (!!!)
Keystone Kapers - Do I even have to say anything?
Combat - Where a gamer was born in my case.
Frogger
Dark Cavern (Mattel)
Star Voyager (Imagic)
God, how I need a 2600.
I also found an orange NES Zapper and a Power Pad! Not a bad day for stuff in my basement.
Today I got
Vandal Hearts, Psychic Detective, MGS and Crash 3 Warped for PS1 for £8 in town.
Psychic Detective looks like a weird game, not had a chance to play it yet though.
"There are good ideas, there are bad ideas, and there is shi*t like this that you have to take tainted meth to come up with."
Craigslist find:

Practically a 1:1 exchange rate, which is bad for me. I'm from the States, here for another month. He listed Super Mario RPG as well, but he couldnt find it when I got there. GRR!!!
Games, all CIB:
System, no yellowing:

Tuesday at the local flea market...
Sal the junk dealer was out in full force again finally after having nothing but true junk for a couple weeks, I managed to find a couple things.
Dreamcast Official Fishing Controller - $1.00
Dreamcast Starfire Lightgun byt InterAct - $1.00
Dreamcast Black VMU - Free
The controllers were knotted among themselves along with a crappy third party Dreamcast controller. The third party controller had the VMU wedged into it but after some creative prying with a bread knife I found in another box of junk, out it came. I slipped it into the lightgun knowing that Sal wouldn't notice it when I asked the price. Hell, would have been the same if I bought the controller it was originally in. Anyway, fishing controller works great, glad to have an official one. No way to test the lightgun yet, the B button is missing on the left side but there's one on the right as well. I'm going to make a NESterDC v7.1b+ burn soon to test it out. VMU works fine as well, there were a lot of top notch game saves on there, shame none of the games were to be found.
Moving on, I spotted yet another Famiclone. I have a really bad history with these, I've bought at least five of them over the past few years and none of them have worked - they've been totally fried and eventually (after attempting to get them to work correctly) went into the trash. But this one looked like it was in really good condition for what it is, the battery compartment was tight, and the games were on a Famicom multicart - so trashed or not, I could at least get a cartridge out of the sale. The gentleman was asking $4.00, I didn't haggle. Get it home and after changing the batteries, it works PERFECTLY. Well, as perfect as these ever work. It's one of the Power Joy units with the lightgun built in, I believe these were all over Big Lots stores around Christmas a few years ago. The cartridge is almost totally unique games, very few repeats, and decent titles. Macross (of course), City Connection, Devil World, Road Fighter, Pooyan, Spartan-X and so forth.
Power Joy bootleg Famicom - $4.00
Now I've wanted a Game Boy Color for awhile, but didn't want to pay more than it's worth to me and that's about $10 max. My Afterburner modded Game Boy Advance is too valuable to me to carry around everywhere and my old brick GameBoy is from the original release so it doesn't come out much either. But a GBC I can just throw around and not worry about, great. Lady has two of them, right? Only one battery door, there was another but the clip was broken. So I pick up the cleaner of the two, put the good battery door on it, pay and leave. Later I get to another seller who I'm friends with (more in a moment) who has batteries and I try it out - NO SOUND. ggggrrrrrrrr...... So I go around trying to find the bitch, okay? Finally find her spot and the other GBC is there, but she's nowhere to be found - there are people looking at her stuff. Knowing she'd be an ass about it I just kinda looked around, knelt down, took the battery door off the bad GBC I had, picked up the other one, put the door on and walked away. Went back to the batteries and this one works fine, was a LOT dirtier and the screen is marred pretty bad, but it's fine - just going to get tossed around anyway. Cleaned up nicely just the same and works great.
Game Boy Color system, teal - $10.00
Project S-11, Game Boy Color - $5.00
Got this cool little shooter from the two Chinese gentlemen that I've been buying NES games from lately, I buy from them all the time and they always cut me a good deal. Usual price is $7 but he always mumbles a lower price to me so that the other people looking can't hear, in this case they're $5. I also had a bootleg multicart I was looking at, had the first Super Mario Land, Tennis, and a couple other okay games but I put it back - they're always there and I knew I had spent too much already. (trying to save right now for the most part) This is also where I went to try out those GBC's. $5 to keep from having a $10 waste of junk no sound GBC is fine by me. I should have bought that multicart too since I did keep using his batteries. Oh well, told him I'd be back next week, I'll buy one of them then if there's nothing else out there.
Nothing spectacular but still good stuff just the same. Think it's time for bed, have to work in the morning.

Found a nice Sonic Adventure 2 (DC) for $2. It had a broken hinge so at first I was thinking it'd be ratty and scratched to hell. Upon opening it there were a few minor scratches and everything else was great so I'll just grab a front to a spare case and make it look nice. Been wanting the second adventure game for awhile.
