These cartridges are dirty as hell and I'm not going to take it anymore!
What happened to the Wii version?

Yep, PS3 and Wii will most likely get their own versions.
Have you read any of the news regarding the other systems and a Katamari game? Namco is reported to have dropped the PS3 version completely and shifted the development team who had been working on it over to a Wii version because of install base. So unless the rumored price drop really takes shape and moves alot of PS3's I'm not expecting a Katamari on the PS3 anytime soon.
Because it makes no attempt to be great, it is therefore extremely great.

I'm amazed at the longevity of the Katamari franchise. Game critics and people here at DP love to criticize game sequels for being rehashes or "more of the same", but how different or interesting can a game get where your only objective is to roll a ball of junk around? I enjoyed the first Katamari back in 2004, but when I finished it, I was done with the whole concept. I never bought or played the two sequels.
Obviously, people can buy whatever they want...I don't care, but I'm curious as to what people are looking forward to. I'm not trying to sound condescending, I'm genuinely curious.

No, but i find it hardly unlikely that Katamri doesnt appear on both PS3 and Wii sometime in the future (i never said in the near future or soon). Even through PSN only is also a possibility. Releasing 360 games only in Japan isnt the best thing because of the low install base so i bet there are moneyhats involved.

actually out of the 3 consoles the PS3 controller fits that sort of game better.
I disagree. You know how the game uses both sticks and you do them in the same direction a lot of times....but not always? I like the idea of the nunchaku and the remote being the two sticks.
And of course it would take practice. So did learning how to press the D-pad and A at the same time in Super Mario Bros. Doing two things at once with both hands is something very difficult for a new gamer. My parents and sister can't do it yet.
Or they could do just the remote, same thing as the PS3 controller except the PS3 controller makes your wrists feel more restricted in those kind of movements.

Hmmm...video game question on a video game forum...hmmm...what is the point?
Anyway, the main reason I asked is because I don't feel like plopping down $8 to rent a game that I feel I've already played (via its predecessor). People only read what they want to read in posts sometimes. I never said anything negative about the Katamari sequels...I was simply asking how they're different (or if they're different).

Brilliant!
Let's only allow positive, happy posts in every topic from now on. No questions, no discussion, just self-masturbatory threads about how great this game is and that game is. Every game has somebody who likes it, right? Who are we to judge?
Anyway, I think I've derailed the thread enough. If anyone still wants to take up the issue, shoot me a PM.
