    Default Nintendo Power 100 items

I'm looking for some help in finding out what items Nintendo Power offered to celebrate their 100th issue. So far I know that there was a limited edition Game Boy Pocket, due to this thread:

    http://www.digitpress.com/forum/showthread.php?t=85284

I also know there was a limited edtion controller... cos I own one:

Unfortunately I'm finding it quite difficult to track down a subscribers 100th issue of Nintendo Power. I believe the catalogue in which these items could be ordered was only availble in the subscribers issue.

Can anyone here provide me with a scan of the catalogue which shows the controller, etc.

    Thanks.

    I thought I had it but I was mistaken…I have NP #50.

I see you live in the UK, were there different things offered over there…it might just be me but I do not remember that controller being offered in the US.

    Take a hike, wang-broom!
I swear I can smell your stinky hands from here!

It's quite rare, which is perhaps why you don't remember it. The Nintendo Power 100 items (including the controller) were only available in the US, and only to subscribers of Nintendo Power; I bought the controller on ebay from a US seller. Nintendo Power has never existed in the UK, although there is an official Nintendo magazine (during the lifetime of the N64 it was called Nintendo Magazine System and Official Nintendo Magazine).

And yeah, we did get different stuff. Nothing very impressive, though, just crappy free gifts.

Really, complete with the NP100 decal? Nice one! There's other gold N64 controllers but the Nintendo Power 100 edition is rare find.

Still no luck finding the issue 100 catalogue, so any help would be greatly appreciated.

I own issues #1-105 and a lot of issues 150-190. I'm pulling out my issue #100 that I belive is subscriber issue as it has no barcode. I'm not real sure what I'm looking for though. Other than maybe a picture of that gold controler?

The two things they offered in the 100th issue that would be interesting to collectors like us:

    1) The Gold NP100 Controller (I have one too)

2)Gold Gameboy Camera (Pretty damn rare, and apparently comes with some extra pre-loaded LoZ: Link's Awakening images)

I bought my controller from my friend who was a subscriber at the time. I remember the extra little booklet that came with the magazine, as we looked through it together.

I'm confused... The Player's Poll Contest in issue NP100...

    100's of Prizes!
    100's of Winners!

    First Prize 100 Winners!
    N64 Game Packs!
Nintendo Power Picks the games, 100 winners score the silicon!
    Second Prize 100 Winners!
    N64 Controllers!
Nintendo Power picks the colors, 100 winners take control!
    Third Prize 100 Winners!
    N64 Rumble Paks!
    Fourth Prize 100 Winners!
    NP100 T-Shirts
    Limited edition anniversary Power Tees!

No mention of a gold gameboy or a gold controler...

Thanks!!! A scan of the page with the controller would be great, and a scan of any other Nintendo Power 100 branded items. I don't think there were many, so hopefully it's only a few pages.

EDIT: Sorry, posted just after you! From what info I have, there was a Nintendo Supplies catalogue that came with the 100th issue. I don't think it was part of the magazine, and it was only in the subscribers issue, which is why it's so difficult to track down.

Maxx confusingly flips through his magazine only to realize that it is an extra booklet that came with the issue. He stares at his NP100 issue right next to his Sonic 3, almost complete, instructions missing. "Complete... Complete! Nothing's ever complete!!!" Maxx throws his magazine along with the Sonic 3 up against the wall and runs out the door screaming like a lunatic!

No catalogue, then? Well, thanks for looking. This thing has eluded me for months... looks like it will continue to do so.

It sounds to me like this is the exact booklet the OP is looking for. But I really know nothing about it, so I'm likely way off.

The issue I had mentioned (99? hard to believe it's past 170 now) had at least some of the goodies listed. It might have the catalogue.

Unfortunately mine has gone AWOL. I would've posted some scans had I found it...no luck so far. I might be able to turn it up later, though.

Thanks for trying to find it. I've tried elsewhere with no result, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed that your copy shows up!

I was able to find the entire 100th issue online in CBR format... it's near 80megs.

That being said, while there are scans of the subsciption cards, etc. within the magazine, there's no scan of any insert for that contest it looks like

Yeah, you're going to be really hard-pressed to find someone who actually saved the catalog. I was a subscriber for issue 100, but I sure as heck didn't keep it. I later on bought a large lot of Nintendo Power issues from someone who had a subscription from around issue 10 to 100-something, and this guy kept everything practically perfect and he didn't even bother to keep the catalogs.

I do, however, still have several of those Nintendo Power stamps/coupons that I believe took a dollar off an order for each you had. Too bad I'll never be able to cash them in. :P I think each catalog contained two of 'em.
