Default Looking for specific NES plastic game boxes…any help? (Pics)

Here’s a shot of the two game boxes I currently have:

I can easily find the SNES/Genesis/N64/CD game boxes but I cannot for the life of me locate a place that sells the NES boxes. The SNES box will not work with NES games BTW. I purchased the NES boxes off of eBay some time ago, the seller from eBay got them from an old video store that had them in the back sitting brand new in a sealed box…they are well over 10 years old. I’d love to find more but although I’ve looked, I’ve yet to come across any. I also remember renting games that came in a clear plastic case like I have now but also with a metallic Nintendo logo on the bottom.

Anyone have any info on these?

Toys R' Us had pink versions of these, although for what reasons I do not know. If you simply MUST have the plastic cases, you're bound to run into some on the web. I just find dust sleeves more efficient and easier to come by. I'm also going to sell four of these, though you have to buy my entire collection just to get them. Sorry! :/

I’ve seen them in small numbers being sold here and there but what I’m looking for is new units in bulk…say 100 of them, not 4 used units here and there. As to why I want them, the outcome speaks for itself:

They stack perfectly, you can label them and they protect the game 100%. Far better than the cheap-o black sleeves I have sitting in a box somewhere.

I’m sorry if I came across as a jerk, I didn’t mean to come across that way.

I must add I’ve found them on eBay from time to time (there’s some up for sale right now) but with a $19.95 price + $15 S&H for 25 used cases…I refuse to pay that price when I can get the sleeved SNES version, new and in quantities of 100 for $50.

I know it doesnt help you but I have nine that I'm not using at all. You mentioned you had black sleaves laying around. I'll trade them to you even, 9 for 9. If your interested let me know. It will only cost us both shipping.

Don't be sorry, I pretty much beat myself up whether I f**k-up or not, it ain't your fault that I'm a wimp :/

Yeah, forget my ebay plan, that price is outrageous. Maybe third party auction sites?

I sold roughly 100 of them on here this spring. I think I took 50 cents each plus $10 for shipping. They'll popup again. Your best bet might be to contact known ebay resellers and see if any of them has a stockpile.
Completed 60+ trades here on digital press.

The SNES case pictured is a universal game case from mediashelving.com . . . NES carts will fit inside if you trim the plastic inside.

Also, you can find high-res covers for those cases at www.thecoverproject.net
